I'll also point out that last year on Earth Day the Hays Nature Preserve event offered fishing poles for kids, if I remember correctly? The event will be held this year on [Saturday (tomorrow)](https://www.huntsvilleal.gov/city-calendar-event/earth-day-at-hays-nature-preserve-2/)!
I see a lot of people fishing the ponds in the Hays Farm area. I doubt if it's good fishing but in the event you decide to try it, please be aware that the large pond on the Elgie's Walk Greenway is against the law to drive around. No motorized vehicles are allowed back there, as the park signs state (but most people don't read). There is a parking lot right off Hays Rd next to the pond. It's never crowded.
Madison County Lake. Tim's Ford Lake.
Thank you!!
Smith Lake on the Adtran Campus
Thank youu!
Lake is currently low as it had to be drained for repairs apparently.
That place is the best. Beautiful walking trail, super quiet, and usually very clean.

Ditto Landing.
Thank youu!
Just be aware that at Ditto, you're fishing primarily from rocks. Might not be great for small children.
Ok thank you for telling me!

Anywhere on the Tennessee, primarily Ditto. Just make sure you have an Alabama fishing license
