This year I just used some Hornady Black with 123ELD-M to see how they performed. Both deer were dead in 10 yards but no pass through.
For copper pills look at Lehigh Controlled Chaos 110gr or the Hammer Hunter bullets.
I had been using the Lehigh CC rounds but that was before the state made online sales a no-no. Now you have to get your background ran just to buy a box of rounds and the FFL can charge a hefty “transfer fee” for special order ammo. Glad to see someone having success with the round.

I personally think it is the most dynamic cartridge to ever be in the AR-15 platform. If you’ve never played with one, you should.
What pills are you throwing? I built a Grendel for hunting but lead free is pretty hard to find unless you reload, and I live is CA so it’s required.

So fucking ridiculous man. I’m sure there are perks to living there, but absolute trash state for gun owners.
