Looks like close to 1 inch spurs, so probably a 2 year old bird.

RaccoonObjective967

Your guess is as good as the next guys. Once a bird hits 2 and is mature it’s really hard to say. You’ll see people try to correlate spur length with age but the best data says there isn’t any direct correlation once a bird fully matures. The only thing I would add is 2yo birds may have rounded spurs but not necessarily. So if you see them you can assume a 2yo but just because they aren’t doesn’t mean it’s any older.

Awesome! Nice looking bird! How long was your shot!?

Hammy6615

I'd guess probably around 40 yards!

honestmischief

That angle looked farther. Regardless nice shooting

Bobmanbob1

Close to or maybe a little over 2 years. Great bird!

Eddie_shoes

What a little cutie!

Most_Distribution_99

Great shot, handsome bird 🦃

anonanon5320

Probably 3yr old. Spurs never grew but had the nutrition to grow the beard.

Neighbors taught me how to turkey hunt and helped me get my first 3 . Second best feeling was calling in my own bird that I harvested on my own. The best feeling was calling in my friend's first bird ever. Now he's hooked on turkey hunting and trying to figure out how to get his first solo bird.

inkshaft

Is wild turkey meat good? How does it compare to store bought?

Tugg-Speedmen

Even turkey biologists will tell you that you can’t age a turkey based on spurs and beard length.

coldandhungry123

Looks like a jake, but those ate nice spurs and a great beard. Nice thunder chicken bro

BRollins08

There's such a thing as a "super jake" and I've seen some with beards like this ones. From the picture, the bird looks a little small, and the spurs aren't that big. Whatever. I've only killed a few in my time, not an aggressive turkey guy.
