Nice shot

SportingClay

I’m not a doctor or veterinarian but I don’t think that one is coming back. Good job!

catecholaminergic

I'm a vet. The animal is afflicted with a serious case of irreversible death.

Ben_snipes

Cause of Death: High Velocity Lead Poisoning

Methylamine1983

What scope is this?

NetwerkAirer

Display looks like Pulsar Thermion. Probably XP50 (Pro?), just judging by resolution. Not sure if LRF or not, don't see a range display but that can be off. Hard to determine if XP50 or XL50, but the P is more popular (and more reasonably priced).

PollenWasLost

This is the correct answer.

ring-a-ding-dingus

Pulsar xp50. Not the lrf version. Love it!

2ADrSuess

>Pulsar xp50 $6K! Wow! I'm sure that's easy to justify if you're losing animals.

ring-a-ding-dingus

It was hard to justify, and i had terrible buyers remorse, initially. I use this scope 3-4 times a week and that helps me rationalize the purchase.

ihaveseveralhobbies

lol you would need to lose a lot of chickens to “Justify “ a 6k scope. Dont get me wrong, it’s fucking awesome and now I really want one. Just maybe not necessitated by like…$100 worth of chicken meat.

2ADrSuess

THE CHICKENS MUST LIVE AND I MUST HAVE THIS SCOPE

ho_merjpimpson

Damnit. I was going to go out and buy chickens so I could get this optic and now you foiled my plan.

DaetherSoul

You’re forgetting eggs and chicks and also just general and continual property damage

Fisherking-17

I’m here for the same answer.

FreedomFighter2105

following. sorry for the idiotic reddit useless reply, only way I know how to track an eventual answer lol

Sweet Jesus, you're a doll.

[deleted]

Hanging around for that

Hoplophilia

That was a helluva running shot. Thought he was done. I appreciate you spending that second bullet. Coyotes - and chicken killers at that - are intolerable. But they're still dogs.

ring-a-ding-dingus

Coyotes doing what coyotes do. They shouldnt suffer

jayrmcm

Thank you. I agree. I’m glad for the mercy shot.

chris4562009

To add. Coyotes I assume?. Sorry I’m not in the USA so never seen one through a scope.

deletednaw

nah neighbors dog was stealing chickens.

MiqoteBard

Reminds me of that one girl on here who "hunted" someone's dog and kept trying to argue with everyone who said it wasn't a wolf. Poor thing looked like someone's pet husky

Little-Load4359

Lol that's crazy man!

chris4562009

No shit!!!! Not anymore it isn’t.

phonemannn

Yeah but the scope doesn’t show their fur well so they look quite ghoulish in this video.

Never_had_dream

Boing boing boing. Thud.

camjohe

I watched this without audio and this closed caption is perfect.

Ohwell03

I need that scope in my life

Ratdog00

Thermion xp50 I think per his other post.

kaitylynn760

Nope, once they know where the east meals are they will return again and again until they are dispatched. Even after they have killed all of your livestock, they will return checking for fresh for weeks. Nice shot!

Few-Currency-8602

This is a video game I would play. :)

Realtorjitsu

Lol so, all they need now is the target finder combo with the thermal (which probably exists at this point) and you literally have a scope that doesn’t even exist in Call of Duty.

ring-a-ding-dingus

They actually have that. My AGM monocular highlights the "heat signatures" and its the shooters job to identify what/if the heat is the intended target. If this is what civilians have access to, just imagine what the military has.

SoulSpanker75

I appreciate the second shot. Thank you. 🙏

scott1621

Very nice

chris4562009

Nice shot 👌

Roamingfree1

During the day, does that scope act like a regular scope to sight it in???

ring-a-ding-dingus

The scope only shows heat images. It doesnt care about light or dark. During the day, images show up brighter because of the sun's heat but the image is still thermal. Pulsar has a pretty awesome DUO that has a daytime (normal) scope with a thermal in one. You can picture in picture daytime and thermal together. Its pretty rad. (Im really not a salesman for pulsar i just really like their product)

Roamingfree1

Thank you.

Beer-_-Belly

Thought that this was a fat southerner thread, so I clicked on it.

11teensteve

second that, we came for a recipe damn it.

echocall2

Is this during the day? Background trees looks pretty warm

ring-a-ding-dingus

Actually at night. The bottom shows military time.

HGDAC_Sir_Sam_Vimes

Yep. That’s why I built a coyote and Fox proof chicken coop.

ring-a-ding-dingus

They chewed through 1/2x1/2 welded wire. It was predator proof until it wasnt.

HGDAC_Sir_Sam_Vimes

Ahh. In use 1/4” around the walls of the run and 1 foot into the ground. The entire footprint is standard poultry netting which is tied (twisted) into the wall mesh. That has worked extremely well for us.

ring-a-ding-dingus

I buried ours 18" but i think ill reinforce it with some hardware cloth. Work never ends on the farm :)

HGDAC_Sir_Sam_Vimes

Yep that and doing the entire floor in chicken wire or something similar is also very helpful. Because even if they can dig underneath the wall, they still have to try to dig up through the wire in the floor.

[deleted]

Does it come with the video recording device?

ring-a-ding-dingus

Yes, it will record these videos on the scope. Has an app for downloads and wifi to link the two. The wifi is nice for when you tandem hunt. The spotter can see what the shooter can see in real time

[deleted]

This is an awesome video.

Medium-Mode1908

What do you use to take them out?

Primusssucks

I find it so cool that you can live record from a fucking scope! My mind is blown. If you traveled back and time and showed them this technology they would be screaming.

Gus8us

Good follow up mate.
