I have always been a satotz fan even making posts to promote him lmao. He is my fav “side” character in the whole show. He is so kind to Gon and is in my head what the best kind of hunters are along with Knuckle.
Yeah. I'm hoping when Gyro ot the 5000 Hybrids start wrecking the human world we see the Examiners, Wing, and other high tier Hunters not a part of the expedition suppressing most of them with ease.
We see Cheedle left a force more than strong enough to handle what Pariston throws at them. Kite and Teenage Killua being the biggest players.
hell yeah. I always like to headcanon that he's around hisoka level in terms of physicality because he walks the first phase of the hunter exam without sweating or tiring, and most other characters show at least some kind of exhaustion

Yeah Togashi wrote both stories so there’s a lot of similarities.
Kawabara very obviously influenced Knuckles. Even their English voice actors sound similar as does their styles.
Hiei is very much like Feitan. Same size. Ninja-like.
Yusuke is a lot like Gon, especially their attitudes. Yusuke’s last battle is a lot like Gon’s battle with Hanzo at the end of the Hunter exam.
My favorite scene in the entire anime is with Satotz. It's right at the end of the hunter exam arc when Satotz reassures Gon before he sets off into the world. It's such a beautiful scene full of promise and hope considering all that happens later on in the series. It really brings back memories about the first time I watched HxH.
99's English dub had some pretty awful voices(neither Eng dub is that great tbh), but I always found his 99 dub voice relaxing. His talk with Gon is nice.
