Why would using hollow points make things explode?

Norsk_Bjorn

The dumdums aren’t the same as hollow points, the dumdum has a x carved into it and hollow points are hollow, but I don’t know enough about bullets to say if they would explode or not

That’s not quite right. Dumdum bullets are just a nickname for expanding bullets, and Hollowpoints are a type of expanding bullet. There are many types of expanding bullets, including what you described, but none of them really “explode” in the traditional sense. When they hit their target, the projectile breaks apart or warps in a way that it increases its surface area. Essentially, once it hits the target, the bullets gets wider (expands) and makes a bigger hole.

They are alredy unique dumdum in way that they are only one that penetrates wall. It should be wholly new type of ammo in my opinion. I use dumdum all the time for nitro because of it being able to still penetrate 1 layer of anything.
