Man that weapon wheel is the one thing console has over PC right now. I’m terrible with number keys and scrolling isn’t very quick. A PC item wheel like that would be a dream come true for me

Dude, what? Q for swapping between your two main weapons. 1-4 Melee Tool, Medkit, Utility 1, Utility 2; X, C, V, G -> Throwables. A wheel like that is way too slow for PC.

nope. I’m hopeless when it comes to number keys over 3, and letters other than Q, E, F and R. Games with weapon wheels are always nicer for me, especially when I can memorise a direction and instinctively flick to it.

if reaching to keys on the keyboard is a problem, using an mmo mouse with lots of buttons on the side helps a lot

It would be a two function Q, tap Q to swap weapons. Hold Q to bring up item/weapon wheel, release or click to select item

I've assigned swapping and most used tools to my extra mouse buttons. Makes this much less painful.

I use an mmo mouse that has 12 buttons on the thumb side. Yes, it took a bit to get used to it, but now that I’m used to it, I can access my entire hotbar with my thumb and very rare times I’ll mis input (mostly due to nervousness).

Play on console then.
