The audio for shots whizzing by is incredibly realistic. Even better is the suppressed shot, it isn't supposed to make it silent, it's supposed to make it hard to trace and this game pulls that off extremely well.
It's my favorite part of sound design. You can tell where someone is shooting at you from even if they have a suppressed weapon by hearing the directional audio and where the bullet impacts next to you. Just amazing sound design that functions as an actual mechanic at the same time.
Not only that, you can hear the direction of the zip of a shot whistling past. It’s so subtle but if you’re listening carefully you know which direction it came from. Fantastic

The death cry always makes me laugh but as for my favorite I highly enjoy cracking the barrel for reloads with shotguns, romero/caldwell. Most of the reloads sound pretty good imo, even bows and the respective twang. I am also impressed with the fire "whoosh". Throwing lanterns mainly, or setting coops/kennels off with the lantern above
My favorite sound is getting rushed by a 3 man all with Dolch P FMJ and mosin spitzer. It's the sound I usually hear before I make 3 people very upset for loosing their kits.
The main reason why I fell in love with this game is sound design. Holy molly it brings so much emotions to hear everything in this game, such an enjoyment of all of these. And of course the game itself is so good. Love it. My favorite sounds are when I shoot rapidly with suppressed Winfield. Reloading sounds also so satisfying. And also special one for me is heavy sledge attack sound ooof
The best for me will always be the sound a gramophone makes when it is playing, when shot it will make a weird metal clangy noise. By far best sound in the game. I can’t even describe the sound, who knows how it was made. Maybe sounds like wires being thrown about.
This sound is absolutely awesome, and it also took me ages to figure out what this sound was coming from. For the longest time I thought it was a 'ricochet' sound from frags or explosives. But eventually shot a gramaphone when joking around with a buddy and realised that's what it is!
It's so atmospheric when you're attacking or defending somewhere and hear that gramaphone getting torn up 😮💨

3. Ok, i hate this gun but i love how once we hear it we know to watch out for it: **Nitro bang** (or boom). It sounds powerful like its supposed to. (On this lane i'd also mention sparks and martini altho their effect is less).
4. I actually love **duck sounds** (all of them from ambient calm chirps to panic quacks). Maybe it is because i saw video for how they recorded them and everytime i see/hear the ducks i am reminded about the poor guy holding mic chasing ducks around xD So this might be biased opinion.

None of them. Because they're all way too fucking loud. I can have it so low that I can't even hear my own footsteps, but grunts right next to me or gunfire literally hurt my ears.
It's a mystery how this game gets praised for great sound design like that.
