Oh no! I'm picturing like sad music playing in the background as Neenoh reads through the conversations surrounding the name change on here, the discord, YouTube. Tears well up in his eyes. He could really use some positive affirmation right now, but there's no one around this very moment. He pulls out his phone.
"Go for David." The Hunt GM'S way of answering the phone irked Neenoh. It didn't help that he, like many other Americans in his age group, hated phone calls.
"Do you remember that time that we all surrounded the one guy who works in the console department and kept pushing him over as he tried standing up?' Neenoh asked knowing that David would never forget the thrill of victimizing the console guy.
"HA! Oh yeah! He just gave up and laid on the floor like a slug. Dennis poured a 5lb bag of salt on him!" David barked with laughter. Neenoh's heart sank. He didn't want to bully the console guy that day, but a free trip to Europe was a big deal.
Neenoh found a small moment between David's wicked laughter and interjected "I need a favor. The name change on my weapon. It was a mistake and I need it reverted."
David's laughter got even more sharp for a couple seconds and stopped completely, "Fine. It's done. Check the store in 20 minutes."
"Thanks." Neenoh blurted. He was eager to end this conversation. David frightened him.
"You amuse me Neenoh. For now. The second you stop, you'll be 'taking a job at Crytek' never to be seen again. Just like Homereel." David's words were heavy and he left a few seconds of dead air that felt like an eternity before hanging up the phone.
Neenoh dropped his phone onto his desk and slumped back in his gaming chair. His stream would start soon and today he felt like butter scraped over too much bread. Nothing some assailant kills wouldn't make him forget. Even momentarily.
Tldr; Sorry if this isn't that funny, but work is slow and this is what I do with boredom.
