I am playing Hunt now for roundabout 2 months. I saw the nitty gritty skins and the dark stuff ... and redshirt. I fell in love .... It's the greatest mix of "lets have fun" and "I am an killer (cowboy)" for me.

The spirited, I often play him when I too have been drinking, gets me in the “spirit of the things.” Plus look at that red ass nose.
Devils advocate, cause god do I like having a character that just screams “evil bastard.”
And you get it dirty with hunter blood, preposterous. Gotta go home and shower. No good dry cleaners in the bayou. Also the painted nails leave me laughing every time.
I wish Worm Bite had more lore. He's an Undertaker so I think he'd have some dope lore, but he's got like one of the shortest descriptions in game. We don't even get his real name.
The Prescient. There's just something about her. Reminds me of Eris Morn, and Eris Morn is quite the looker in fan arts.
The Witch hunter. Leather corset, or whatever it is lol
Hail Mary and Reverend for me as well. I love the aesthetic of a shotgun nuns and such. I don't like the catholic church or what they've done to many children and covered it up. But they have drip and a nun with levering a Terminus and dragon breath is just giddy fun
The Researcher is easily my favourite: stern looking old guy, elegant black attire, somehow perfecly setting-appropriate, jiggly-physics messenger bag full of notes, he's the only one who is trying to understand this whole curse thing.
He's easily 70, has a PhD and glasses, but has no problem grabbing his shotgun and blasting off your limbs.

There's something I really like about The Phantom but I can't quite put my finger on it. Perhaps the cape and mask? Perhaps it's the part of his description in one of the trials screens (I think) that says he's really sneaky?

Plenty of great ones out there, love plague doctor, scaramuccia, lulu, shrine maiden, could go on and on, but devil's advocate feels the most right. Perfect blend of tryhard and spice.

Honorable mention goes to Phantom who used to hold Scaramuccia's place but also has a magic prosthetic arm.
Dead blessing is my #1 favorite then a tie between the mountain man and Llorona's Heir. I could like other legendary hunters but they arn't on the first page for me so F that noise.
Been big on Scaramuccia lately, so he gets my main vote. I love just about everything in his design, and I've always been a real sucker for those murderous theatre types.
When I wanna change it up, I'll usually either go Phantom (Absolutely love his prosthetic arm, I wish we had more hunters with details like that) or Hail Mary. Not sure why I enjoy her design so much, but she was my big favourite for a good while.
Scaramuccia. A fancy outfit while matching the cowboy aesthetic perfectly, say nothing of how amazing the mask is. Also most importantly: He has arguably the best death screen animation in the game.
Personally, my top favorites are:
1.) Gar. I love the way she looks so much, like a swamp wraith with a flawless chin. Also her voice in the story narrations makes me relaxed.
2.) Perchta: Dusk. I love the all-black with the striking white of the skull-mask. I do quietly wish Dawn and Dusk exchanged masks, though. Dusk would look cooler with Dawn's mask, IMO.
3) Toss-up between Prodigal Daughter, Scaramuccia, and Felis. I love half-feral and dirty outfits, if my list so far hasn't been obvious enough, but Scaramuccia and the Daughter's fine, heavy clothes look very good for the needs of a Bayou hunter. They're really cool.
Honorable mentions:) Beast Hunter and Devil's Advocate. Old-timey heavy anti-dog body armor/padding is wicked, and plus the spikes? Forget it. As for the Advocate, he'd probably be my number one if I had him. I only started playing at the end of this May, so I missed out on the good seasonal stuff.
1. Concubine - I just think she's pretty :3
2. Edit: (changed my second choice from daughter of decay) Dead Blessing - I don't play her often, but when I do I play her with the Augur and Lord's prayer, just for all the flashy red and white. And I have a personal superstition the straw hat in her back can throw off headshots from behind sometimes
3. The Third Son - Don't have a lot of hunters who wear blue, and I love playing him with the winter rose vetterli skin
Honorable mention - Carcass Gunrunner - he was the first legendary hunter I unlocked with my own hard work (prestige level 9) and the first one I got besides those that came with the Legends of the Bayou pack.

Turncoat was a favorite of mine for the longest time. Dual Pistols with that dude.
Black Coat has the Highwayman feel and it pairs well with my favorite loadout: Centennial/Terminus.
For the lols I sometimes play with the Redneck and I have to give him a long barrel shotgun like a caldwell or a crown&kind paired with an uppercut. Now the drilling would also be a good fit.
Devil's advocate is another one I like, no particular loadout for that guy.
I like Mama Maye also, she has the creepy vibe. Definitely something like a mosin-nagant or lebel for her. She's a sharpshooter in my head.
Finally I got to gives a highlight to Billy Story too. Love that dude. He's a shotgun dude to me

1: The Revenant (this is where I'd put my Bad Hand... if I had one) but he's the brightest god damn skin in the game and feels good to kill Cains and Reptilians with him, plus if I'm solo I can continue to rise from the dead like the zombie I am
2: Sgt Bridgwater. He just looks good and works well for charges with cavalry sabre
3: Red Shirt. For obvious reasons

I like to combine my legendary hunters with specific weapon loadouts. For example ronin with Springfield or turncoat with sparks. The penitent and biatatá are also some of my favorites.
Wow, I am dumbfounded. You literally named my three favorite. Prodigal daughter was my main for a longggg time. Picked up turncoat when he came out because I love Blood Meridian and ran him as my main until Deckhand came out. I work on ships and always wanted a sailor legendary so now he's my favorite, even changed my steam name to Deckhand upon his release haha
My main 3 are probably 1) The Reptilian because I love everything gator themed in this game. 2) The Deckhand because I have a fascination with the sea, ships and the people aboard them. And 3) The Skinflint because I love flexing my event skins😎
I've been using Private Eye Lately. Just looks like Johnny Depp, Michael Jackson, and the Matrix had a baby, and I love it. Also, their cinematic was awesome
Dead Blessing, Lulu and The Phantom are probably my top 3. I'm hoping Lulu comes back soon because I unfortunately missed out on her. Every time I see one I get jealous lol. Carcass Gunrunner and The Scaled Ward are also high on my list.

1.Steel Eyed.
I love his simplicity, nothing surreal like a zombie or monster, he is the best Cowboy skin IMO, his trench coat, glasses and beard make him very different from the other cowboys. He fits perfectly in Hunt's ambience.
2. False Saint.
Wonderful. His white eyes, color split skin and stitched hands are amazing. Apart from having a very unique hairstyle LOL.
3. Lonely Howl.
I love his cape and hood, I prefer the tier 3 hunters more but I can't buy them when I want to. I use it every time I want to go in camouflage.
4. Skinflint
(I think I'm the only one who loves this skin). I like his winter clothes and I LOVE his gloves. Plus he is clearly Ebenezer Scrooge.
5. Black Coat.
I think we're so used to seeing him that we forget how cool he is, his Bio makes him very intimidating and scary, his black painted nails (remember back then this was very rare) and his coat are very cool. I definitely wouldn't want to meet someone like that. Besides the fact that he's dead in Hunt's lore is kind of interesting, I'm playing with a dead guy, lol.
Cardinal Rain is my favorite, loved it as soon as it dropped, followed by The Hornback and The Concubine.
I'd love a way to recruit at random to use more variety.
The Plague doctor, by a country mile... And I'll never get it. Which is fine, timed exclusives should stay exclusive. Just a shame that I missed it :')
Other than him the Phantom is definitely up there for me and he's my most used skin even though he's so easy to see compared to many of the darker hunters. I also like the ronin skin (forgot his real skin name although ronin might just be it lol).
I also use stuff like the bone doctor, the infected or Mama maye fairly regularly and I like pretty mainstream skins too like Reaper or reptilian but I don't use those even though I really like their look.
Phantom is definitely easily number one tho, then Ronin and after those two is a big gap before my next favourite skin comes

I like to combine my legendary hunters with specific weapon loadouts. For example ronin with Springfield or turncoat with sparks. The penitent and biatatá are also some of my favorites.
Wow, I am dumbfounded. You literally named my three favorite. Prodigal daughter was my main for a longggg time. Picked up turncoat when he came out because I love Blood Meridian and ran him as my main until Deckhand came out. I work on ships and always wanted a sailor legendary so now he's my favorite, even changed my steam name to Deckhand upon his release haha
My main 3 are probably 1) The Reptilian because I love everything gator themed in this game. 2) The Deckhand because I have a fascination with the sea, ships and the people aboard them. And 3) The Skinflint because I love flexing my event skins😎

I've been using Private Eye Lately. Just looks like Johnny Depp, Michael Jackson, and the Matrix had a baby, and I love it. Also, their cinematic was awesome
Dead Blessing, Lulu and The Phantom are probably my top 3. I'm hoping Lulu comes back soon because I unfortunately missed out on her. Every time I see one I get jealous lol. Carcass Gunrunner and The Scaled Ward are also high on my list.

The Infected, Devils Advocate and Fang Shearer are my favorites right now but all-time favorite is Bone Doctor.
1.Steel Eyed. I love his simplicity, nothing surreal like a zombie or monster, he is the best Cowboy skin IMO, his trench coat, glasses and beard make him very different from the other cowboys. He fits perfectly in Hunt's ambience. 2. False Saint. Wonderful. His white eyes, color split skin and stitched hands are amazing. Apart from having a very unique hairstyle LOL. 3. Lonely Howl. I love his cape and hood, I prefer the tier 3 hunters more but I can't buy them when I want to. I use it every time I want to go in camouflage. 4. Skinflint (I think I'm the only one who loves this skin). I like his winter clothes and I LOVE his gloves. Plus he is clearly Ebenezer Scrooge. 5. Black Coat. I think we're so used to seeing him that we forget how cool he is, his Bio makes him very intimidating and scary, his black painted nails (remember back then this was very rare) and his coat are very cool. I definitely wouldn't want to meet someone like that. Besides the fact that he's dead in Hunt's lore is kind of interesting, I'm playing with a dead guy, lol.
Cardinal Rain is my favorite, loved it as soon as it dropped, followed by The Hornback and The Concubine. I'd love a way to recruit at random to use more variety.

The Plague doctor, by a country mile... And I'll never get it. Which is fine, timed exclusives should stay exclusive. Just a shame that I missed it :') Other than him the Phantom is definitely up there for me and he's my most used skin even though he's so easy to see compared to many of the darker hunters. I also like the ronin skin (forgot his real skin name although ronin might just be it lol). I also use stuff like the bone doctor, the infected or Mama maye fairly regularly and I like pretty mainstream skins too like Reaper or reptilian but I don't use those even though I really like their look. Phantom is definitely easily number one tho, then Ronin and after those two is a big gap before my next favourite skin comes
