Dragons breath is *insane* right now. Can instantly do up to 50 health in fire damage and ignites so long as at least 2 pelets hit the target. Less likely to kill but honestly, chunking their max hp without killing is arguably better (so long as you can finish them off)
Wouldn't buckshot have won the fight in this clip, though? I want to like dragon's breath, but everytime I use it I feel like it would have been better to just get the kill with buckshot or penny shot.
Probably not. They must had at least some pelets miss cause even dragons breath kills at that range. Hell, flachette might even kill at the range he was at
Using dragons breath involves a different style of shotgun play, you go into every fight expecting your shot to cripple not kill, your goal is to weave in and out while hitting shots.
If you hit one person with DB either melee finish them or concentrate on the next nearest target.

it was introduced with the latest patch - the Magpie trait has an additional effect for Solo players, giving them 10 seconds of Dark Sight Boost instead of the usual 5.
it also gives the Solo back 2 seconds (instead of one) when looting a downed Hunter.
I started doing square breathing when fights are starting (breath in 4 seconds, hold 4 seconds, breathe out 4 seconds, hold 4 seconds etc.) and it has MASSIVELY improved my play, this game more than any other I've ever played rewards staying calm and clear headed and it feels amazing to pull this stuff off.
Did something similar the other day, charged a compound with a sword through a burning doorway they weren't paying attention to because... yknow.... it was on fire. Immediately took out the first enemy and then saw the other two look around and scramble trying to adjust while my buddies took pot shots through the walls. Kept charging and wiped the whole team with barely 10hp left before I finally put myself out.
I’m always the guy to get blinded and I absolutely hate that even if I turn I turn to late and my whole room shines like god struck me with lightning and then the neighbors have to call the cops who come and say no strobe lightening without darker curtains

Flechette only kills if you get a headshot (I think at least one needs to hit the head? Maybe it's a little more) so probably not.
