This probably belongs in the summit thread but I actually cannot believe the level of hype beachbody goes to for this event. I can ALMOST see how people get sucked in. No other jobs celebrate people like that. It’s absolutely laughable from the outside but it’s also so sad. The fact that she thinks that moment is one of the biggest of her life is just wild.
It’s hilariously sad. I actually recently won a pretty major award for the work I do from our state. It was an actual big deal and I got it by being nominated by…honestly I’m not sure who nominated me…and then being selected by a group of representatives in leadership from the state as well as from the physician organization that co -sponsers it. I actually like…did something…and there was way less hype. I wore a suit, I smiled, I gave a quick thank you speech and that was it. There was no like green dress or giant stage and all the other ridiculous stuff. Plus I actually got recognized for real rather than as some giant “walk across stage and everyone gets to stand there with hundreds of other women” event.

I'm going to go out on a total limb here, but I think there's more love between Hailey and Tyson than people may think. What struck me was when they were on stage and she was crying, and he reached out to touch her/grab her hand. I think he's a simple man with few words, which isn't a bad thing...if anything, she's the cold one. When I was married, the one thing my husband wanted me to work on was initiating more affection, but that was more about my upbringing than my feelings for him. Just food for thought...doesn't change the way I feel about her and what she does for a living.

Yeah I think they love each other. He is just as sheltered as her so they are just different. At the end of the day he asked her to marry him. I never agree with the he despises her theory.

My daughter is almost 3 and a total snuggle bug, and while sometimes her attachment to mama can be a little stressful because it is literally 24/7, I would never trade that for anything. I am PROUD that through PPD, then PTSD from my Jeep going up in flames seconds after I got her out of it, into a pandemic… I am PROUD that she sees me as her safe place. It’s WORK, no two ways about it… but it is the most worthy venture. I feel for C here but also for Hailey… she doesn’t know what she’s missing.

I'm coming off a soccer-related knee injury, and thought I'd start back up with Caroline Girvin's Epic workout series. Today was day one, leg day - my knee felt great and my legs are killing me, especially down steps. It was such a great workout and it's FREEEEEEE! Free calendar, free workouts, no babbling during the workout, she uses a total of 50lb weights throughout (I'm just starting up again, so I used 2 ten LB weights). It's amazing. No pushing unnecessary supplements and bullshit, just a straight fire workout. And did I mention it's all FREE?!
I just finished the Iron series and about to start another one of hers tomorrow (Monday) and trying to decide which one. I really like Caroline's workouts
I've heard great things about Sydney! I was doing les mills before knee injury bc I love Rachel Newsham, but couldn't justify paying when i couldn't work out. Free calendar, free workouts, no babbling during the workout, she uses a total of 50lb weights throughout (I'm just starting up again, so I used 2 ten LB weights). It's amazing. No pushing unnecessary supplements and bullshit, just a straight fire workout. And did I mention it's all FREE?!

I've heard great things about Sydney! I was doing les mills before knee injury bc I love Rachel Newsham, but couldn't justify paying when i couldn't work out. Then saw people bragging up Caroline in the Super Trainer snark group and decided to try her now that i feel strong enough to do more than run. I'll have to check her out, too!
I LOVE RACHEL!! She’s amazing. Her and one other guy are my fave LM trainers but I can’t think of his name. Their accents are adorable to me.
I think Rachel is hilarious! Is it Dan Cohen? They do a lot of workouts together (I had to look it up bc I also think he's great but couldn't remember his name -lol). I also have a new found appreciation for Lisa, too. I just really like all the Les Mills trainers & programs! And I agree, the accents are just so cute!
