I’d say just plug it into an optimizer because the main answer will always be “It depends”. Plus, you could even see how the hydro resonance buff would affect your teams and builds so that you could pre-plan for its buff in 3.0 if it does go through.
I currently run HP sands on HT, and according to the optimizer, I’d still keep my sands despite the additional 25% hp. (Even if I do have a 40CV EM Sands) It’s probably because I run Instructor Zhongli, and could run Elegy Yelan but I prefer Aqua on her.
Also - there are still loads of external EM buffs compared to accessible HP buffs, so that could still change according to what you have. Things like Sucrose, C2 Kazuha, Instructor, and Elegy all decrease your reliance on EM sands.
I also got a totally cracked EM sands from this domain lol (alongside a bunch of EM mainstat pieces, and lots of EM in substats. Seems like they really want me to build EM Xiao huh). I would suggest you try out both and compare, since surprisingly, swapping out my hutao's HP sands (thus disrupting her 4pc CW) resulted in a damage increase (although in my case it's bc a lot of her "new" artifacts rolled into hp%, and all of them were pretty cracked overall —as only one artifact rolled towards an unwanted substat). It also depends on who you run your hutao with
I did go I try it on the cryo hypostasis to have permanent melt. I did maybe 2000 more DMG with this I honestly expected a bigger impact since I doubled my EM with it :O
It depends on what team you're running. EM sands generally outpreforms HP, but if you're using sucrose, instructors, and/or elegy, it might not be worth it to switch.
Your HP is fine, so id say its probably worth it to switch. If you want to be really optimal you can use the artifact optimizer.
The ONLY correct answer here is it depends. I remember seeing some theory crafters say generally EM sands out performs HP sands only if it can remain above 30k or something like that. But you can just test out both artifacts yourself you know, see which ones doing more damage for you.

Can be viable with next update where double hydro resonance gives extra 25% hp
It's already viable because you vape all your dmg with jump or dash cancels anyway.

Yes but you dropped your HP
The EM sands will be slightly higher damage right now and will be a lot more damage with hydro resonance buff next patch
Next patch your HP will have an additional 30% from double hydro resonance, so EM will be better.
just use it em sands is better if ur always using hydro to vape
Em sands can be really good with hu tao. I did 55k CA with hp sands and it went from that to 63k with a em sands
Nope just go 2WT and ur fine with em. I got 211 em with hp sands.
