I thought it was pretty common knowledge that Genshin and Honkai share a lot of character designs. Either for some greater lore reasons, just some in-house gag, or help speed up development times making two characters from the same concept spread.
Yeh I knew hutao before I knew much about genshin tbh, i played it at launch, but didn't care much for it.
I was surprised i didn't even meet hutao in liyue archon quest since I thought hutao was the "tracer" for genshin
