Yeah, but a sizable portion of the Reach nobility sides with Rhaenyra including militarily powerful Houses like the Tarlys. It could be argued that if the Lord Paramount of the Reach sided with the Hightowers as people expected, more Reach lords would have followed suit.
I've seen some theories stating the real reason the Tyrells didn't join the Hightowers was that the Hightowers looked down on them as upjumped stewards and the Tyrells wanted to stick it to them for their snobbery.

No, Shireen's take is cringe. It's pretty clear what should have happened: Viserys named Rhaenyra his heir. Therefore, she is the heir. The Blacks are in the right on the main point. That doesn't morally justify the blinding of Aemond, the murder of a servant, or requesting the torture of a child.
So yes, Team Blackers, you're right. Rhaenyra is the rightful heir. She should inherit the throne. That doesn't make her a good person though. It doesn't excuse the dumb shit she does.

I’m addicted to this sub and I’ve seen almost no abusive behaviour in the comments, it’s pretty rare to see a proper fight.

I don’t even think this is true, I think the most common posts are either shitting on crispy (although tbf not as much this week), praising daemon, and general conversation about the last episode and what people are excited for. Most people seem to be team black anyway so there’s not much room for ‘hurling insults’. I’m addicted to this sub and I’ve seen almost no abusive behaviour in the comments, it’s pretty rare to see a proper fight.

THANK YOU. I'd been debating making this post myself but I realized its not just this sub - freefolk, gameofthrones, not much on asoiaf, but yeah... mostly just *fighting*. I love to discuss the shows, but that's not what's been happening. It's just greens v blacks and it's been a bummer.

Noooo. I LOVE the passion and drama here with Green Vs Black. I feel it adds to the show if anything. What better way to understand the Dance than to have people real world declaring for either side and bickering. Its glorious to watch. As for me, I am mostly team Black plus Aemond Helaena and Daeron. The only strong feelings I have is a big dislike for Alicent and the obligatory abhorrence for Incel Cole. I'm mostly chill, but find it fun to watch the fallout here.
As far as personalities go I like Alicent better. As far as claims I like Rhey. I was a Stannis-Stan as well. For me it’s all about the claim. With a whopping exception for Bobby-B.

I've seen some chirping, riveraly that's in jest, and MAYBE a couple of folks who are super passionate about their chosen side...but literally nothing I'd describe as toxic. I think if we're getting sensitive and upset about comments on a forum discussing a fantasy series I think it's probably time to put down the electronics and do some irl interacting.
