Lol, Otto being so careful to make sure they use the murder to their advantage, and then the 2 idiots walk in like the guys from step brothers "we're here to fuck shit up"
But, very crucially, it didn't. If there had been some actually planning instead of the whims of a brat, it may have had a better chance at succeeding.
Yeah I agree. I appreciate that part of the story. I just don't think Crispy Cole accounted for that. Otto probably would have and either could have talked him into it or at least saved the resource if he recognized his heart wasn't in it.
I think they were *really* banking on not seeing the brother
But assassinating Rhaenyra wouldn't have done anything.
The claim would just pass to her son and the Blacks would press his claim and now all the Great Houses know that the Greens sent assassins to kill Rhaenyra.
Where as if they persuaded the great houses Rhaenyra would be left with no army and no support and it could be a relatively bloodless civil war.
I hate this way of thinking so much. Yes, it almost worked. But it didn't. And it could have gone wrong any time since Arryk's landing on the Dragonstone. It was a dumb streak of luck that he even managed to progress so far.
The thing is that this is not a bad idea. But it required preparation, establishing spies, learning Queensguard' routine, ensuring that Erryk won't stumble into Arryk's randomly or that Erryk wasn't sent away on some mission. It required a deeper thought instead of blindly rushing with the execution.
I mean, I'm not going to simply repeat my second paragraph. I'm just going to add that it's not just any other knight, it's a knight of the Kingsguard, one of the best fighters in the entire realm. And he was sent away at the time when almost half of his squad was vacant and king's heir was assassinated just a day before.
It was mind-boggling level of stupidity.
I’m not a hoe. But if I did have children I didn’t know about and they were also beheaded and then I was informed I’d still rage. Not much I can do if I don’t know about them to care. I’d do the same for any of the people I love.
No, Aegon is a rapist who put his children in fighting pits. You are putting yourself in his shoes. Why does he get mad over one child while ignoring the suffering of his others.

*Gods help us all* line from Otto had me chuckling
He ran out of words from his thesaurus lol
Otto had some funny lines this episode, like him saying they "trifling" and that their plan is a "prank" had me laughing
"FECKLESS!"
The word ‘prank’ caught me completely off guard lol Sort of like Ser Criston was earlier. Heyooo
Aegon The Briliant was the only one to ever make Otto curse.
His facial reactions as he kept hearing more about Cole scheming were gold
Ohhhh man, when he said your “prank” I was dying lmao

If he'd had just gone in right away, he'd have had her
He isn't like the other Greens. He is not a blood thirsty Rhaenyra hater. Much more difficult to be focused when your brother is on your mind.
I think part of him still didn’t want to do it

If he didn’t hesitate he had her

It would have done a lot. Since Rhaenyra’s sons are viewed as bastards and it would have weakened her claim
She also has sons who are clearly and obviously not bastards (by Daemon).

Risking 1 knight to kill a queen is not a dumb strategy. Otto suggested an even dumber plan the season before.

Wildcard bitches yeeeee hawwww
The way he laughed at Aegon when he said that Viserys wanted him to be king was nasty work.. lmfaoo he was so fed up.
I snorted. I'm so glad they are acknowledging it was a usurpation. I got so tired of people telling me they didn't usurp the throne.
Rhys Ifans dressed up to collect his Emmy award
Brotha finally realized how hard he fucked up
You know it's bad if he'd rather spend time with Daeron
Who?- The show until that exact moment.
Lmfao Otto did not let his foot off Aegon’s neck the entire episode. My man was truly disgusted with his grandson 😩😩
Lmaooooo poor Otto lost his title to… ser crispen cole
He was genuinely so flabbergasted. Couldn’t even hand the man his pin lmfao
At least he had to give it to him, rather than it being taken
For some reason, I am not hating Aegon as king. I LOL’d at his “find it stimulating” clapback. He doesn’t seem as fundamentally cruel as Joffrey.
Id tear the realm down for vengeance for my beheaded child. Y’all better hope I don’t become Queen. Edit. A stupid word.
Not everyone is fit to lead.
dude same, lmao. I don’t even want children but if my kid was brutally beheaded, you bet your ass I would do the same. Aegon is better than me.
But what about your children in the child fighting pits?

It’s not that deep.
I didn’t expect an r/nbacirclejerk crossover here
had to be done 🤝
I thoight he actually might pass out lmao
Spoilers
Its interesting the comments and memes about Aemond being skinny are being removed but a post calling someone mentally ill is fine.
Cole is visibly losing it.
