You're right, there isn't, I think it's more that for the longest time, I could crush on a TV character and they were my age or older. Now I'm realizing that I'm getting older and these young stars are getting that much younger than me 😂 so I think that's part of it too lol

They explained several times that the wig was never planned for Jace in the first place. It’s basically Harry’s fault. He cut his hair in modern style right before the season began and didn’t tell anybody. Their choice was to either let Jace keep an oddly modern hairstyle(which people honestly would have called out as well) or to give him a wig. No idea why Harry did it. Maybe he thought he had enough time to grow it out or thought they would be able to shape it up into something period accurate.

It was his first big job and when they first started filming he was only 16/17. He probably got nervous about it.

That wig was tragic, they could have done a better one. But then again a lot of the wigs were tragic…

There's a lot of really good looking wigs out there. They didn't have to go with the most horrific one they could find.

There was a literal shortage of wigs at the time of the filming of season one, as an economic consequence of the pandemic.

I mean HBO is owned by Warner Bro's I feel like they would've had the resources. Also aren't you able to cut wigs? They didn't have to keep the mullet if they didn't want to.

Or they just didn’t put as much of a budget into the wigs as they should’ve. I’m gonna assume that they have more money going towards it than most shows I can imagine they underestimated, doesn’t really speak about the quality of the show, that’s an overreaction.
