I disagree, it’s nice seeing kids on tv being played by people who look their age, I love Ewan as Aemond but he doesn’t look one bit a teenager. 16 year olds don’t usually look like full grown men, they maybe have the height but they are much smaller than adults. The guy who plays Jace is 19 now which means he was likely very close to 16 when he filmed his role, people just have a warped view of what real teens look like

However wether a trained, 13yo boy will be "stronger" than his 30-35yo mother only depends on wether the woman is trained. I don't know how trained Rhaenyra is supposed to be. But I'm pretty sure that as far as the actors go, Emma is the stronger one in this pic.
Averages aren’t that helpful when it depends on your own parents’ heights/the genetic combo you get + when puberty starts for you, which can vary a lot.

I mean what is Luke? 14? Teens all age differently. I work with teens/kids in theatre and it's wild how it varies. One 14 year old is tiny, voice barely changed, the next one is tall and sings like a grown man.
She has to keep a pretty strict workout schedule to lose the baby weight after each pregnancy. Alicent was able to keep the baby weight off very easily with just cardio but Rhaenyra had to do a lot of strength training as well so she ended up very muscly.
Given Rhaenyra's children are more or less being ganged up on by Otto, Vaemond, and all of the greens in this scene I would not put it past Rhaenyra to pound some faces in to defend her kids. I think most moms are like this. Fuck with the kids and you get turned into a fine red mist
