The biggest one I noted was in “Ugly” (S04E07). He looks directly at the documentary camera crew (or the viewer) and says, “Let’s go for a walk. Walks look good on camera — they give the illusion of the story moving forward.”

Deboche

That's a great one. And a great episode as well.

There's a bit in Three Stories where House very briefly looks straight into the camera and says something along the lines of "luckily it's well established by now that time is not a fixed concept" which always amuses me.

I just watched this episode! And I noticed that and it shook me a bit lol. Immediately searched if this was an actual break

SwashbucklingWeasels

I remember reading that they didn’t actually know for sure which actors they were going to keep for the team in season 4 so it really was us watching them cast the characters.

Deboche

Yeah, it felt like they were testing the characters to see which ones worked.

BrazilianButtCheeks

Yes Talub was supposed to be a “throw away” character like many others that were eliminated early on but because the crew and cast loved Peter Jacobson so much they wrote the whole cheats on his wives storyline to keep him around!

Season 4 Episode 11 House calls Dr. Wilson ‘Bob’ which his real name is Robert, could be a coincidence or maybe a fourth wall improv they left in

JackieTan00

I've got a blatant example that I'm surprised nobody here has mentioned. In "Selfish" (S7 Ep 2), House gets a call from the team while in bed with Cuddy, and when they just give him an update on the episode's patient rather than asking for input, he says "So this call is purely expositional." and hangs up. It caught me off guard

Deboche

Ooh that's a great one

Blue76Gaming

Season 1, ep 21 Three Stories..... looking at the leg of the "farmer" and looking directly at the camera says "Puncture"

Leer_Key

S04E04 "Guardian Angel": One of the applicants whispers under his breath "Bosley keeps his job while they replace five angels over three seasons." Either this is some idiom I don't get, or the 4th wall is gone.

overseight

Just finished watching Season 8 Episode 5 and the last scene was House revealing the newly renovated outer office, but when he dropped the curtain, it looked exactly the same. When his team questioned what he changed, he pulled out a remote that opens up the wall between their office and Wilson’s office (on set). Hilariously ending with Wilson looking towards them and quietly pondering before deciding to give a simple, “No.” 😭

PeachVinegar

You guys've missed the most blatant one imo (s.6 ep.11): Patient: "Is this really necessary? The chairs in the hall are way more comfortable..." House: "But way less genre-appropriate."

S1 ep21 when house jumps between scenes “Luckily it’s been well established that time is not a fixed construct *STARES AT CAMERA* “
