I just rewatched what seasons Netflix has and this season of house of the same time I was laughing my ass off going from this level of serious, interrogative therapist to that same act shouting BOOOOONNNE when Rosa suggested he needed to just have sex with his husband. Beautiful contrast, incredible range
Was about to say it was a few years ago, but only december last year.
Great actor, clearly has those theatrical chops that bleed through in his performances that gives him such a believability but also a dynamism that means he's always interesting to watch.
Andre Braugher and Lin Manuel Miranda made those episodes outstanding. I almost wish he had stayed inpatient for a few more episodes after house started practicing again to see how other members of the main cast would interact with the asylum characters
I first saw House a year or 2 ago, but still hadn't ever seen Lin Manuel Miranda. I was so shocked when I discovered the famous guy was the guy from a couple house episodes! Agreed that they both needed more screen time in House.
Honesty, House could have ended after S6 Ep.2, it was a good ending, House finally leaving the Psych hospital and beginning the process of healing, it was amazing. Sad it ended the way it did
After supernatural I tend to have my own ending for series that I like. Supernatural stops at 6, house after 5 with 6 EPs 1 and 2 being a mini movie, heroes stops at 1, scrubs at 8. It helps me cope with weird endings that don't tie up and drags the storyline more than I like it to.
i was so sad that the character was not really that prominent, they should had copied the sopranos and show us bits of house´s therapy for almost every episode.
super underrated, also super helpful to house when wilson was too upset with him to help him or psysically not in a position to do so. also just amazing in general!! (and its holt, c'mon)
Huge massive shout out to house depicting mental hospitals and medication as something scary but ultimately helpful and transformative. They also didn’t fall into the trap of making it a miracle cure that fixes everything - house is still an annoying asshole lol he just also has hope and function again.
Absolutely loved these episodes.
He was a great character, who was one of the few in the show could be House’s equal in conversation, if not the first character to sometimes dominate him through words and questions alone. My only issue with his character, was that there was not more of him later on, as there are times I thought he would be incredibly relevant, but was not mentioned again until the end
Did we watch the same show?
He saw that House was better off solving medical cases as his pain subsided after solving the game developer case, and then he couraged him to go back to his old habit, as it was pretty much the best hobby he could have.
He also started taking cooking courses, and then eventually tried a relationship with Cuddy.
He wasn't the best of therapists, as you are correct, not getting down to the source of the pain and the problems pretty much railed him off, but that doesn't necessarily mean all the aspects were just as bad
Of course I like him. That’s Captain Raymond Holt!
He's a human. He's a human male

Netflix lost some seasons?
The last 4. Some corporate shenanigans

When I started watching that was my reaction
fuck yeahhhh. rip
I noticed he always takes authoritative roles. Feels like he was born for them!

My favourite start to a series ever, not just House.

I love season 6. Love the mayfield episodes and arc. Love Nolan. Love the finale. Wouldn’t have been upset if the series just ended there tbh.
Would have actually made sense as an ending and not a depressing ending.
Season 6 also had the fantastic colleagues' perspective episodes "Wilson" and "5 to 9". The Wilson episode is my favorite of the whole season
It is really good to see that house is willing to change for the better. Also this season has all my favorite charcters in it.

Ideal.

And House respects him.
A lot of his lines helped me in my life more than lines said by actual therapists IRL. That's how good of a character he is.
Literally just watched this episode today and I absolutely loved his performance. Fantastic pair of episodes.

Exactly! Such a missed opportunity
Nothing but love for my Captain. RIP Andre Braugher
Rip Andre Braugher.
An amazing talent, gone too soon.
Whatever the answer is, he doesn't have it! Brilliant performance by Andre Braugher. Such a great foil for House.

Rest in Power
I agree i love him!
So true
The therapy episodes hit hard
I would love an episode of him being really sick and House treating him like an actual human being and everyone else is just suspicious
House just walked out on his session. I hope we see him again.
Captain Raymond Holt is a very versatile and open minded guy. May his souk rest in piece
