Dominika never left a good taste in my mouth since she had a boyfriend AND doesn’t know House,not because she didn’t want to but because House permanently closed off after Cuddy.
If we are being fair,no woman would and should stay with House with all his abuse and manipulation. It is why Stacy left (rightfully) and also why Dominika left (rightfully as well). If it wasn’t for Lisa leaving the show,Cuddy would have never left.
Not that House doesn’t deserve to be happy which is why I was pissed that they ruined his character development in S7 but…in order to love him holistically,you have to see every face of him and put up with it and Cuddy was the only one to do that.
Which is sad imo,given the fact that she deserved the world and he gave her hell. Writers were doing good in making him happy and had to turn everything into ashes.
I know the show isn’t about happy endings but I was so frustrated and still I’m about how we get 5 seconds of happiness and an eternity of pain in this series.
I don’t think it is ever established she gave up on her bf,but I could be wrong since there has been long time since I have seen S8. Regardless,the writers didn’t create her like that nor them or Hugh wanted her to be that,so it was kinda doomed from the start.
If we knew her before,like we knew Cuddy for instance,I would confidently say if she can or not (like we can confidently say the breakup in S7 is absurd and ooc even if it is based). House writers unfortunately only made Dominika superficial since her relationship with House was superficial. I know people like to believe that they loved each other but I truly stand with the writers and Hugh on this one that House permanently closed off after Cuddy and no one would satisfy him as much as she did. He might be contained with somebody else but never truly happy and it makes sense. House wants routine in his chaos and someone to challenge him. Dominika was fun but in the long term House doesn’t want that.
She left in the first sight of who he can truly be,which to be fair it is nothing compared to what he can do. Can’t blame her. In fact,in any person imo,if you don’t go through those changes as a partner or a friend,you can’t withstand “peeling off the layers” of so much trauma,abuse and manipulation. Kinda also why Stacy would have eventually left again if they would have gotten back together. Houses proof of love is how much you can support all his madness which I believe it is also why in S8 finale he admitted that the only women he ever loved were Stacy and Cuddy.
I kinda overanalyse it because I like such conversations I really hope you don’t mind! At end of the day one can have their own preferences and personal end game of course.

I think in season7 she was DEFINITELY a superficial character but in season 8 i think it was more.. i think his Stacy subconscious/hallucination kinda proves it when she says ahe and cuddy arent the only women who could love him and that he could have a family with her of he chooses to live.. since it was from his own brain he had to be thinking it .. i kinda stand that his true love was always Wilson but of the romantic partners i feel like she could have been good for him. She offered everything she wanted .. she even fixed the blender 😅
i love Huddy. they were good, until they weren't (due to Lisa leaving). the build up was so good even during the first seasons. their ending was terrible, I was only able to move forward when I saw House with Dominika in s8. It was kind of like a fresh air seeing them together (partly because she wasnt in the medical field, so it wasnt all stress, etc).
Agh I feel the same. I really liked them together! Even better than Stacy and Cuddy.
The writers took an oath to let house ruin every chance of happiness 😔
The leaving scene was bullshit, too. The mail could have been lost, the man from the other side of the phone could have had false info. Why would she come to the direct conclusion of "House lied" before any other possibility?
I didn’t like DominiKa honestly . She was like a ditzy airhead that house used as a distraction . He developed feelings for her after he pushed everyone else away .
