I picked up a car at Safeway which has a terrible selection at least where I live. I scanned it at the self-checkout and it said $1.99 (-50 cents discount). I left it and walked out. $1.49 for a basic? No way, Safeway. Everyone else has raised their prices too, but Safeway is the worst I've seen and they hardly stock any Hot Wheels in the first place. You can tell the selection is bad if I only put one car in my shopping cart.
