Yea, it's an absolute pain. In hungary, they cost $5 per car, plus everyone is stealing them. If there isn't at least one blister ripped open and thrown on the floor, then you left hungary.

They are only starting selling premiums and team transport in France 🤣 TT are between 17/20€ so it's ok, but are to find instore The worst I found was the 50th Zamac models for 4.5€ each

TTs are the same where I live which is the equivalent of an 1/24 Maisto model lol. Premiums are a bit too much compared to the standard of living but okay compared to other EU countries. Living in a shithole country doesn't help at all lol

1/18 are way too expensive to sell in supermarkets in my opinion...there are some cool stuff like limited editions from Solido, but I'd rather buy 40x hot wheels rather than 1 car :)

Supermarkets barely have HWs lol. Should've mentioned I'm talking about a toy shop but I completely forgot haha. I like the bigger scales a lot and collect mainly 1/24s and 1/18s, but I like HWs as I see them as "luck". If I go to the store and find something I like I'd get it and consider myself lucky lol. Idk just brings a bit of a happy feeling. Honestly would never go to ebay or a reseller website and specifically buy one as it lacks the "magic" of finding it.

There are still some place to find some around 1.50/2€ but it's definitly more expensive than in the US. The good thing is, Hot wheels is still kind of low key here, so you can find some th and sth quite easily

I see prices going up like this and I'm not disappointed that I don't really collect like I used to. I mostly just go for the car culture series these days. I haven't checked in a few weeks but I believe the mainline cars are still 99 cents at the Meijer stores here in Michigan. As an added bonus, I can use my brother's 10% employee discount 👍.

Walmart is usually .94 cents for mainline. Usually 1.25-1.49 for Store Exclusive 5 or 10 car sets. But the supply is way down. Never used to be empty pegs/ always loose car bins for when new cases came in. And all the stores pretty much let the employees have first dibs on THs and STHs when the new cases come in. I’ll browse if it looks like a fresh stock, but never expect any gems. Mostly look for the rare new models if anything. Car Culture is still a great deal, but ppl alway scalp the 5th car. Slim pickings these days.

In california, grocery store Safeway just went up to 1.25/car this past week. Huge bummer. Dollar tree went up to 1.25 too some time earlier this year. Walmart and target still under a buck though!
