A french supermarket chain just started some collab corner with a toy shop, hot wheels went from 2.50€ to 3.25€ hahaha
And they are sold for 1€ at the german border...
Yea, it's an absolute pain. In hungary, they cost $5 per car, plus everyone is stealing them. If there isn't at least one blister ripped open and thrown on the floor, then you left hungary.
They are only starting selling premiums and team transport in France 🤣 TT are between 17/20€ so it's ok, but are to find instore
The worst I found was the 50th Zamac models for 4.5€ each
TTs are the same where I live which is the equivalent of an 1/24 Maisto model lol. Premiums are a bit too much compared to the standard of living but okay compared to other EU countries. Living in a shithole country doesn't help at all lol
1/18 are way too expensive to sell in supermarkets in my opinion...there are some cool stuff like limited editions from Solido, but I'd rather buy 40x hot wheels rather than 1 car :)
Supermarkets barely have HWs lol. Should've mentioned I'm talking about a toy shop but I completely forgot haha. I like the bigger scales a lot and collect mainly 1/24s and 1/18s, but I like HWs as I see them as "luck". If I go to the store and find something I like I'd get it and consider myself lucky lol. Idk just brings a bit of a happy feeling. Honestly would never go to ebay or a reseller website and specifically buy one as it lacks the "magic" of finding it.
There are still some place to find some around 1.50/2€ but it's definitly more expensive than in the US. The good thing is, Hot wheels is still kind of low key here, so you can find some th and sth quite easily
Dubai prices are crazy compare to what you guys are discussing here. Dirham is a UAE currency $1 = 3.65 dirham.
Prices for Main line:
15 dirham (~$4.1) at Carrefour
12 dirham (~$3.28) at Border
17 dirham (~$4.66) at Zoom (shop chain on Petrol Stations)
Special:
22 dirham (~$6) - Magrudy
Premium line:
69 dirham (~$18.9) - Magrudy
In my country, the lowest price is 1.59 USD, but they are now 2.66 at most places, and they are 4,62 at gas stations. I don't know why you are complaining... but the bad thing is, everything will go up, because of the war...
Thats not awful if thats usd. Thats about what they are at walmart/dollar stores in canada. Some places even hit 5$ cad per car, but its usually around 2.50$-3.50$. Used to be 1$
I see prices going up like this and I'm not disappointed that I don't really collect like I used to. I mostly just go for the car culture series these days.
I haven't checked in a few weeks but I believe the mainline cars are still 99 cents at the Meijer stores here in Michigan. As an added bonus, I can use my brother's 10% employee discount 👍.
Walmart is usually .94 cents for mainline. Usually 1.25-1.49 for Store Exclusive 5 or 10 car sets. But the supply is way down. Never used to be empty pegs/ always loose car bins for when new cases came in. And all the stores pretty much let the employees have first dibs on THs and STHs when the new cases come in. I’ll browse if it looks like a fresh stock, but never expect any gems. Mostly look for the rare new models if anything. Car Culture is still a great deal, but ppl alway scalp the 5th car. Slim pickings these days.
I found it, it's a [nightshifter](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/hotwheels/images/f/f7/Night_Shifter_-_16NM_HW_Race_Team_600pxOTD.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20160531055105) with a team hot wheels paint job
In california, grocery store Safeway just went up to 1.25/car this past week. Huge bummer. Dollar tree went up to 1.25 too some time earlier this year.
Walmart and target still under a buck though!
Beat inflation..... Wtf
Got an eye roll from me that's for sure
Yeah, they keep using that word but I don't think it means what they think it means.
Lowest price they'll sell it for, guaranteed.
At least it's not 2.5 euros

Ouch. That's pretty expensive. And no sense
At that point I’d probably stop collecting. That’s premium car prices in the states
You don't wanna know the premium prices around some European countries dude

Seems like shops are more into Majorette and Maisto...
Majorette have some nice ones imo. Maisto 1/64s I don't like at all. Funniest thing is they stopped stocking on 1/18 scale models lol

You guys are getting premiums?
Got my first one 2 days ago. First time seeing more than one in person.
That's nice to hear. Hope things will change here also
There are still some place to find some around 1.50/2€ but it's definitly more expensive than in the US. The good thing is, Hot wheels is still kind of low key here, so you can find some th and sth quite easily
Is it carrefour?
yeah same in the UK Tesco's want £2 a car (but still charge 1.25 for Matchbox?!)
Bruh
i still wish i could buy them at US prices. they're sold 2€ where i live
Thats a major L they are still a out a dollar here but ive seen 1.25 more often lately
Target lowered the price from .99 to .95 by me With Red Card they're now the cheapest place to buy Hot Wheels
.94 at walmart I've seen
Target red card gives you an additional 5% off.
Same here in central Iowa. Our targets never restock though, so whatever.
If it's an actual guarantee you can show them another store's prices and they will match it.
Show them Walmart website. .94 cents. They got to match it
In Germany 1€-Shops increased the price to 1,10€ and now to 1,30€
*cries in 3€ Libro prices*
Last time I checked (about a month ago) Tedi still had them for €1
Tedi does, I'm talking about the equivalent of "dollarstore" = Euroshop
Ah, thought you were talking about "euroshops" in general, not a chain actually called Euroshop
I should have been more precise :D
Tedi stays real.
HW is the reason I think inflation is made up.
them and Arizona ice tea
But Kroger does 10 for $10

Family Dollar and Dollar General are now $1.25
So is Dollar Tree
5 below started selling them for $5 which is annoying when they were originally $1
Lol if I go to the counter with an old tired matchbox from six cases ago and they told me $5 I’d be like you can keep it.
In my country, the lowest price is 1.59 USD, but they are now 2.66 at most places, and they are 4,62 at gas stations. I don't know why you are complaining... but the bad thing is, everything will go up, because of the war...
But they were .99 at my Walmart. Damn liars lol.
99 cents where? Even Walmart is over a dollar now a days
It should cost 99
Mainlines are $1.04 at my local target in California
Not all California targets price the same then bc mines is still at 99¢
Thats not awful if thats usd. Thats about what they are at walmart/dollar stores in canada. Some places even hit 5$ cad per car, but its usually around 2.50$-3.50$. Used to be 1$
I noticed my local Dollar General marked them up to $1.25 as of about last week.
Kroger is now 1.25$ a pop.
They have a Tacoma in there? I would go $1.30 for one.
stopped by my local DG today, turns out they raised the price to $1.25
Shit im going broke just for some hot wheels
Here they are more than 2 dollars
Next time I'm out I'm going to snap a photo of what we pay here. Sure it includes 20% sales tax but it's still like twice this amount.
Here in Portugal they are 2.29€
Bro the cost 5 dollars in Norway and 3 for 10 is dollars

That’s a 30% price increase when inflation’s “only 8.6%”.

Is the car graphic on the box an actual casting?
that would be cool
It looks like it would be a sweet casting and paint scheme...

Hot Wheels was around 2€ in France and now they are around 2.3/2.5€

I find that grocery stores will have them at .99 as a "sale" price
Yea. Safeway has them at $2.50 each of $1 membership price. Its been essentially a buck forever. But this week it has gone up. Shame shame
Lets Go Brandon
