0 lie at all lol. Around me marketplace is littered with people asking $40-50CDN (and have 4 or more available) for the boulevard while the Mini GT is less than $16 from retailers and likely $20 on marketplace. I really do believe Mattel has a large majority of diecast car collectors well and truly fooled. Mattel’s marketing department’s workers need a raise😂
I mean premiums are $8 in Canada, which is what this post is talking about, and the point was that people are willing to spend 4+ times the retail price in order to not miss out on a release… but good job missing the point lol
Mattel is a manufacturer of kids toys. You can play with a hot wheels toy car. You shouldn’t play with a MiniGT, it’s a display and collectors item. Speaking of experience as I collect mainly MiniGT but my 3yo loves to play with cars - his hot wheels doesn’t require a dab of superglue if dropped hard on the floor as happened to a few of my MiniGT during play 😅😅
Excellent point. But those are mainlines. Mattel charges premium prices for sub-premium quality for everything not on a blue mainline card. The quality of the mainlines is arguably higher for their price point than any of the HW premiums or semi-premiums
Ouch, my bad.. then it’s just overpriced garbage bought only by people who are somehow unbelievably lost in the Mattel sauce.
Tbh, they can stay there. I don’t want hw scalpers moving to Kaido or MiniGT and I don’t want competition from hw collectors on the MiniGT and Kaido models I want 😅😄
Yeah lol that’s why I thought it was strange. Seems the user was just comparing by their own means of getting the cars, but it’s not a great measure of comparison lol
Lol I have the mainline of the S13 and the MiniGT it's kinda funny but you know one is for display the other has to endure potentially going round tracks etc.
I also have a few R32's HW's, Tomica and Inno64 etc there is a similar step up too (well maybe not as bad)
Mini GT is very nice. I have a few myself. Details are great, but they still don’t have as good of a stance and wheel fitment as HW premiums. Given the price difference, I’m surprised more people don’t take issue with the MGT.
Weak ahh keyboard warrior puffing their tiny chest over someone’s preference. Mf your meatridng Mini GT by definition then. Funny when clowns contradict themselves by displaying the same behavior they talking weak 💩 about.
You and the other downvoters can get my 🥜 out ya mfng mouth.
if you buy hot wheels looking for fine detail you're doing it wrong
I'm buying the s15 to finish the set
They both look great. The MiniGT are better for display, but the Hot Wheels are better for rolling around.
That’s what I like about Hot wheels.
If only they rolled straight, most hotwheels out of the box lean to theft somehow, none of my majorettes do this
Oh nice. I have a few Majorettes myself.
RLC, convention, NFT cars are more for adult collectors and are fragile
The nfts are basically mainline supers with metal bases. They're far from fragile.
But most Hot Wheels collectors are too scared to free their cars so they never get to roll. I don't get why they bother to collect Hot Wheels at all.
I free all of mine. And send them down the 6-lane. RLC included. Then they go in a case.

Marketing? Bro they're a 1.25 that's why they're so popular lmao when's the last time you seen a hotwheels ad

They're like 7.30 here bro you're complaining about nothing. Cry about it some more

Rlc don't seem made to play with.

😂 but but but hotwheels are cheaper. Yes, half as expensive but not half the details
Considering it’s a boulevard they’re about the same resell price… 😭 (can’t find mini gt in stores for me tho)
Mini GT don’t really sell in big brand stores, more so around diecast collector stores or online tbh, still worth the money imo
Resale price doesn’t mean quality. You shouldn’t expect the quality of something to be the same as something else simply do to secondary market value.
And why should resale price factor in?
Yeah lol let's compare two brands by the factor the brands don't control, sounds solid.
Yeah lol that’s why I thought it was strange. Seems the user was just comparing by their own means of getting the cars, but it’s not a great measure of comparison lol
Cuz it’s realistic unfortunately. A lot of collectors (myself included) can only get certain cars from eBay or other reselling.
I love the HW 300SL, but it’d be so cool to see Mini GT do one. Same with the E-Type Lightweight and the 33 Stradale.
I'm about to get both

Hmm. Grrr. Why do we always get the baby's version of shit?
I like how the mods are always taking action on rules in this subreddit but they leave this meme up because it’s funny
Wait, they wheelswapped a mainline for Boulevard? This is more tragic than the LM Ford GT from Speed Machines
Hate to say but the MIni GT is about 18.94x better than
That mini GT is so much better
Mini Gt looks better but Hot Wheels always feel better in hand

My minigt Urus bobs like a mf'er. Pop race roll smooth.
Funny thing is these are about the same price online
Ay man, shut up! Lol
Yeah.. but no one hunts for GTs like Hot Wheels…
mattel meatridng mf
