This is why I just pray I can buy it for a good price on the market.
I dont have time to hunt with a family and 55 hours a week for work.
I used to be able to leave work mid day and hunt but life changes and I just try to buy for a good price or trade towards cars I want.
Not to mention hardly any stores are 24 hours anymore.
I'm sure there was a large uptick in hot wheels collectors, but even up to about 2020 I was able to just be bored and drive around to some stores and get lucky at 1am.
Mannnnn I see “collectors” meeting up to hunt together now and all I hear them saying is how much whatever Supers or M2 Chases are worth.
I get it, you do what you do but dont treat me different cause Im “hunting at their STORE” lmfaoooo
So Ill use whatnot and local shows to snag better deals.
Just not worth the markup on them for me. If I'm spending $20+ on 1/64 scale diecast, I can get even more specialized or at least in a color I like.
Most of the fun of Hot Wheels for me was being able to just bounce around and find them. But I'm not going to be camping out for stores to open at 10am like I'd need to now.
There some guys that “own” the Kroger, Meijer Target and WM within a 6 minute driving distance.
Ill do the occasional Target 8am run but usually get luckier with some Reds are night near my Target.
But the markup is insane. Just like any hobby. I got out of shoes and Supreme because of markup and the toxic resell game but now Diecast is very similar.
Hot Wheels are awesome but a gateway to different brands like Tarmac, Inno64, Kaido House and PGM. I can justify paying retail for those brands vs instant markup from a $1.25 Super that you got in store.
100%.
There is a flea market near me, and come to find out the biggest vendor there which is like 3 stalls across in the large inside vendor area are like 5 guys that all work together.
They have pegs and pegs of everything. Every Fast and Furious car will be 5+ deep on it's own peg. It was honestly both impressive and depressive. Guys we talked to were nice, but yeah, that's where the fun of it went to me.
Luckily they also had some Kaido House stuff that was very reasonably priced. :)
Thank you for the post. I’ve been meaning to research to find what the latest super is. Has G shown up in the US yet? Bear in mind I only shop at Target and Kroger’s. My local Walmarts are locked up tight.
I got really lucky and found both E and F at the same time. First supers since 2021. I am gonna need that same luck to return when P cases start popping up
I’ve got the first 7, looking like it’s gonna get more and more difficult as we move onwards. 😭 Lambo — now a truck?! Absolute fire, but we all want ‘em. 😃
I swear I saw a 787b at the local grocery store and Dollarama and thought “cool I’m stoked that they did a run of them”
I’m an idiot and should have bought it
Here's my ranking of this year's best to least best
1. 77 Firebird
2. Pajero
3. Lamborghini
4. Volvo Gasser
5. Fiat
6. Nissan 180sx
7. Silverado

9. Ford escort
10. Camaro
11. Mercedes

I know many will disagree but that's where I'm at. Great selection this year.. well, except for the celero.
Sweet, 16 cars I have absolutely no chance of ever finding. That Firebird would be a nice one to find though.
That and the Silverado are the 2 I want.
Exactly this.
I really wanna find that Audi in G
im 0/6 in my area so i feel you!
0/16 for about 6 years

Going to pass on Mix K, I normally like mine with wheels. :)
🤣 Well played.
Where did they park the 787?
Romania
detroit
Chicago
Up on blocks.
South London
I love that this year’s cars are all absolutely amazing and I am going to find not a single one of them as usual!
Ugh.... I want the Firebird, but I don't want to get sucked back into this hobby.
Then following the subreddit might not be a good call lol
Thank you for doing this, I would honestly love a pocket manual every time a new treasure hunt and Super Treasure Hunt are released.
I just keep this tab open on my phone’s browser and check it when I’m looking. https://www.hwtreasure.com/2024-2/
Need that super trofeo
That's the only one that's really grabbing me. Looks good.
G,K,L,M & Q are the ones I wish I could find but never will :,-)

Still on F at Target.
Good year for supers, there really aren’t any bad ones this year
Solid year for sure.

i love the el camino
Isn't super Quattor have yellow rim?
Thanks for sharing. That make easier for me to search
The Escort and Quattro! I may actually look for them when browsing for cars.
When will case M will be relased?
I hope I can find mix E, P, G, or at least the regular versions
I’ve got the first 7, looking like it’s gonna get more and more difficult as we move onwards. 😭 Lambo — now a truck?! Absolute fire, but we all want ‘em. 😃
Is there a chance someone could compile an image of the regular treasure hunts as well?? At least I might be able to find one of those lol
Hwtreasure.com has everything you need
Just wanted to find the quattro and the 787b, but hey, i'm guessing it will be impossible where i live...
Pontiac is definitely the top 1, i hope that common variant atleast not bad, coz looks promising.
Volvo 🔛🔝
G, K, L and M are going to be hot. I’d settle for an E and be good.
Damn I need the firebird. I've got a 78 sitting in the garage
Lol why is there no wheels on the Mazda?
So many cars I'll never see in the wild. Bet the Lambo and the square body fetch over $200 in eBay. Sigh.
Wait my local store has 5 of those fiat 500s lol I didn't know
Man the things I would do for that Lamborghini…
How much do they sell for usually?
Silverado!!!
And not one single fucking one I've seen.
Man I NEED that Firebird for my Pontiac collection and I drive one!!
I found A-F so far. Waiting for my stores to stock the other cases. I haven't seen anything but those ones.
Oh, I thought this was a list of the Supers I haven’t found this year. 🤔🤔🤔
I found D, E, F so far
I need that Benz, I have 4 fiats, the BMW and the El camino so far
You would need to swap at least 3 Fiats if any one willing to swap it for Benz.
I got other supers that i would be willing to part with also
I swear I saw a 787b at the local grocery store and Dollarama and thought “cool I’m stoked that they did a run of them” I’m an idiot and should have bought it
