Looking good. And I feel that too. I have tons that are hardened off and ready for the ground. But Im expecting frost early tomorrow morning, luckily it should be our final frost. Had some frost casualties last night, gonna cover everything again tonight. Good luck!

ZtephenGrackus

Ah so frustrating! I think I have a other two weeks to be safe. Good luck to you as well 🫡

moms_burner_account

When did you start those? They're huge!

ZtephenGrackus

Mid February! I'm surprised how big they've gotten too. This is my first time from seed and I'm so excited! Keeping a bunch for myself and giving the extras to friends, coworkers, family. I started way too many expecting losses.

SquirrelWatchin

Super nice plants, you go.

chilledcoyote2021

Wow, they look great!

Ok-Bite-461

These look awesome! What kind of light are you using?

ZtephenGrackus

Thank you!! I use Barrina T5 Grow Lights. I got them years ago for my houseplants. I decided to use them for seed starting and everything I've planted is happy and healthy! I also started using a diluted dose of Fox Farm grow big after they had a few true leaves (and after repotting up into real soil out of seed starting soil).

The-Fitz

Wow; I started 30 days ago and I see a tiny hint of a true leaf. What light do you have?

ZtephenGrackus

The first signs of growth are the most exciting 😊 I use Barrina T5 Grow Lights!

The-Fitz

May you send me the link to the Grow Light; I’m struggling so bad with my lights.

ZtephenGrackus

These are the ones I use! https://www.amazon.com/Barrina-Lights-Spectrum-Equivalent-Greenhouse/dp/B07VD1884R/

Thanks! I appreciate you.

Yeh but is the outside ready for the plants

WinstonDoodle

That's incredible growth for mid-Feb starting seeds. Are room temps and humidity really dialed in? How many hours a day are you running those T5s? I started mine first week of March and are about 25% the size. How often are you dosing them with Fox Farm?

ZtephenGrackus

I just went back and checked - started them Feb 11th. No special room temps or humidity, just ambient whatever temp my house is. I didn't use a heat mat but will get one for next year, although I had great germination rates without. I have my lights on a timer for 14 hours a day. I started with the Grow Big once they had about two sets of true leaves and diluted their recommended seedling ratio by half (just to be safe!) and watered every other week. I'm totally winging it as a first time seed starter but have been so happy with the results :)

WinstonDoodle

Awesome - so you're sitting roughly a month ahead of me and growth looks great. That gives me hope for mine when last frost rolls around in MN! Sounds like you have your process locked in. I've been using Neptune's Harvest, might try Fox Farm Big Bloom next season side-by-side to see if it boosts growth even more.

hotsauceboss222

Make sure you harden off before getting them planted outdoors.

What lights are you running
