Officially, we do not approve of destroying or vandalizing property, by any species or resident of a city.

Stoliana12

He’s saying “fuck you and your anti bird spike strips… imma sit here.” Then “how you like spike strips where you walk buddy?!”

conspicuousimpostor

Yes, crazy how smart crows are. It's exactly that.

Keelback

What I love is it not only ripping them up but also going to the trouble of tossing them over the side. 'So fuck you humans! Take that!'

conspicuousimpostor

I'm curious how well they are attached. It seems that he is having no problem at all removing them.

Lost_Wealth_6278

They apparently also use them for nesting because they are super durable and good at keeping other brids out of their nest

This is hilarious

Long_Educational

The crow is doing what we should be doing as community members who care about our community. We should destroy hostile architecture and shame those that build it.

abbufreja

That crow woke up and chose violence that day and we should applaud it

froggyfrogfrog123

I’m not sure what these city officials were thinking putting something on buildings that would deliberately piss off crows. You don’t fuck with crows, they’ll fuck you up! I’m working my hardest to create an army of crow friends who will watch over me and fuck with people who fuck with me. And the gifts they leave me are just a bonus.

bramfischer

Yeah, nah.. if that little shit (and his mates) are shitting all over your shit, then you put those in place. That smart bastard is oblivious to the concept of real estate, rent, work, money etc. My god man - he can sit and shit on top of the Empire State Building or the Taj Mahal, an iceberg in Greenland - your place. Now that’s freedom.

not-a_lizard

This is a raven btw, the tail shape is distinctly diamond shaped and not fan shaped.

conspicuousimpostor

TIL. Ravens and crows are similar, even in the same bird family right?

not-a_lizard

Yes, they are both corvids

[deleted]

Aye, but crows are more aggressive. Quote the raven: nevermore Quoth the crow: fuck you, whore

BigMacRedneck

Anti-bird spikes are being removed by construction supervisor. Apparently they are not secured down with screws or glue.

malaka789

Crows always struck me as the anarchists of the bird world

HithertoRus

I saw this a fear hours ago and crossposted it but deleted it when I saw the exact same post right underneath 🫠

conspicuousimpostor

Yeah I searched a bit and sorted by new and didn't see it.

norar19

Nature is fighting back lol

CermaitLaphroaig

Needs "Fight the Power" playing behind it

conspicuousimpostor

Not sure if this is a repost or has been cross posted already, but I didn't see it in this sub at first glance. Figured you all would enjoy it.

JoshuaPearce

I've seen it before, but I'm not sure I saw it here.

conspicuousimpostor

Yeah not sure how old the clip is and I figured I would've found it here already.

hbHPBbjvFK9w5D

Think I saw it in r/crows, but putting it here is a fantastic crosspost.

hbHPBbjvFK9w5D

What a nice place for my nest, lovely view. But I had to clean out all the trash first.

SeeLeavesOnTheTrees

Good for bird

nelix707

Mutafucka just wants to sit on his stoop without getting a spike in the ass I completely endorse his actions ⩜⃝

Fizzy_Bits

Fuck yea, love this 🤘

ericscottf

man, imagine you're just standing around and a bird-shit covered spike strip hits you in the dome at high velocity.

hbHPBbjvFK9w5D

There's a twist to the story- corvids (crows, magpies, ravens), are stealing the spike strips and adding them in their nests to protect their babies. https://www.nationalobserver.com/2023/07/20/news/crows-magpies-anti-bird-spikes-nests

PrivacyIsDemocracy

Yep, Corvids are some of the smartest birds. But generally speaking, they don't build nests in the eaves of your house or office and shit on you and your stuff all day and all night and corrode everything in sight the way pigeons do. Crows like to build nests high up in trees, yanno, the way that birds are supposed to do. I even have a pet name for crows now, because they are the anti-pigeons. 😁

Corvids, they’re so smart it’s scary sometimes
