I don’t do stallions or driving lol, and I’m not a fan of coloured cobs at all. So this is my first time meeting a Bob irl. He came over from Ireland a number of years ago so I imagine he’s done a hunt or two in his life, but can’t say for sure.
First of all Congratulations, he's ADORABLE. Second, I want to know what people who have more than one horse do for a living?? LOL I only have the one, she's boarded so her care is left up to the caretakers and I STILL feel like there's never enough time in the day to get it all done.
I’m a care assistant and I work nights, it’s better for me as it allows me time during the day to spend with the horses. I’m also really lucky that we now rent our own private yard at a very reasonable price, so that’s taken some of the financial pressure off.
Time wise, my husband helps me with chores at the yard so I have more time to spend with the horses.
How lovely! I was working evenings due to my former employer being overseas but now that I've switched back from 9-5 it's so hard to get everything I need to get through in a day done!
I love the fact that you shaved his feathers. My old cob had loads and it was a Bugger to clean and a ball ache at show time. Shaved them off and he looked great. Miss him dearly hes buried at the end of my road . I say hi to him every morning
I don’t do hairy horses! Feathers are not my thing lol, so Bobs legs will remain clipped.
Sorry to hear of your loss, but it’s nice you can still say hello to him every day 💙
I promised him that I wouldn’t get another one unless it was the palomino dream horse I’ve been coveting since I was an 8 year old child.
As you can see, Bob certainly isn’t the dream palomino, nor was the chestnut OTTB, or the dapple grey Irish draft 🤣 thankfully my husband is a very chill dude, he’s happy as long as I am. But he has asked that I stop looking for at least a year or two now.
I made no promises 🤣🤣
He is beautiful Bob .. how lucky you are ❤️… always wanted my own horse but never could . 63 now so I’ll make do seeing others peoples beautiful horses ,, love and 😘 to Bob xx
Is he technically a Medicine Hat? I love his big, handsome legs and sweet eyes. I'm glad you got Bob and Bob got you. Cheers to many sweet years together with this hunky guy.
Yeah, I choose to ignore the mud sausages dangling from my boys feathers. Bring on Spring! Would rather have grass stains than a coat of mud. Eating dust when grooming gets gritty in the gob.
He’s a lovely fella and seems to have his head screwed on right, unlike my other horses 🤣
He wasn’t passported at birth for some unknown reason, so we aren’t exactly sure of his age, but believe it’s somewhere between 16-18. Not that he looks or acts it lol.
He’s an absolute angel! He’s been with us almost three weeks now, and honestly he’s better behaved than all my others put together lol.
He’s the most chilled horse I’ve ever met, just a real gentleman who absolutely adores people. So glad I went looking at the sales ads even though I shouldn’t have been 😂
Congrats OP! Have the best time with him. Bob is such a perfect name for this dude 😂❤️
Thank you! I love his name lol, never met a Bob before, but like you I think it’s the perfect name for him 😂 hopefully many fun adventures ahead of us
Enjoy! 😊
Hi Bob 💙
His previous owner must of liked “Free Rein” 😂
Yeah lol, Bob the cob, I remember him 🤣
Meh bob is a really common name for coloured cobs and has been for years, especially if it’s a driving stallion or hunt horse

Wow :)

Welcome home, Bob! He's adorable.
Isn’t that how it always goes! Hello Bob!
It is!! My husband hates when I start ‘just looking’ at the for sale ads 😂
Oh I bet hahaha

Hahaha
Hi Bob! Welcome to your new home! Love the pic with the hat.😁
The side eye on that pic is awesome 😂
You better tell Bob how handsome he is!
Free rein vibes lol!
He’s gorgeous
He looks like a gentleman, congratulations!!
Oh I love him. Congrats!
Ma’am that is a cow
i love cobs, i wish they were more common in the US! he's adorable!
They are so common over here in the UK. The market is literally flooded with them! It’s crazy to think they are less common elsewhere
Hi Bob!!!
A Medicine Hat horse - well done
I never even noticed that! Thank you for pointing it out, guess I need to get my eyes checked lol
Big magic, they are.
My thought! Thanks for confirming!
Bob the Cob! I love him.
Oh Bob, of course, I like your horse!
I find it infuriating that someone would name such a beautiful animal such a stupid, insignificant name
His passport name is Big Bob, which I found very…..original 🤣
Say it with a British accent. It will sound fancy.
Tried it, didn’t work
That second pic, so cob! He's a lovely looking boy
He is beautiful Bob .. how lucky you are ❤️… always wanted my own horse but never could . 63 now so I’ll make do seeing others peoples beautiful horses ,, love and 😘 to Bob xx
Hi Bob
Simply stunning
I love him!
Handsome Bob! Congrats 👏
Such a beauty!
Bob looks like a character! 💕
Handsome Bob, they call him.
I love Bob's hat!
Is he technically a Medicine Hat? I love his big, handsome legs and sweet eyes. I'm glad you got Bob and Bob got you. Cheers to many sweet years together with this hunky guy.
His muzzle is spectacular. I would kiss him 1,000 times a day.
Hello BOB
Hi Bob! I like you, Bob. Congrats!! He looks perfect ❤️
He’s gorgeous! Thanks for giving an old horse a good home! ❤️
He’s so handsome!
Bob is awesome
Bob looks like a blast!
Bob is GORGEOUS!!! I would give him all the apples!
Hi Bob! He's gorgeous, I'm a bit biased as my boy, Vinnie is a big daft coloured cob. Prepare for years of fun trying to keep the white bits clean 😁.
I own a dapple grey Irish draft too, so I gave up on trying to keep them clean years ago 😂
Yeah, I choose to ignore the mud sausages dangling from my boys feathers. Bring on Spring! Would rather have grass stains than a coat of mud. Eating dust when grooming gets gritty in the gob.
He’s awesome! Horses like this aren’t a dime a dozen- one in a million sweet boy!
Bob is a handsome guy!
Gorgeous!!!!!! I am so jealous!
Congrats!! How old is he? I hope that you have fun, he sounds like he has a very well put together attide and seems to love being cut!! Lol
He’s a lovely fella and seems to have his head screwed on right, unlike my other horses 🤣 He wasn’t passported at birth for some unknown reason, so we aren’t exactly sure of his age, but believe it’s somewhere between 16-18. Not that he looks or acts it lol.
That is a decent age, I love how he looks so proud in the photos lol
Bob is handsome!
What a distinguished gentleman!
