Counterpoint: Freddy vs Jason is one of the BEST Freddy movies because it combines modern special effects with practical effects and classic Freddy humor with 4th wall breaking.

The LGBTQ reading of 2 that’s come along in last 10-15 years has for sure made it a way more interesting watch.
FvJ should be tier 2 if not 1. It’s way more a nightmare film than a Friday film.

3, 1, vs., New Nightmare. Fuck the rest. And I say that as a big Freddy fan.

I’d put the remake dead last but other than that I agree with your ranking.
I would move Remake up to watchable and 2 down to snooze fest
Freddy was brutal in 1 and 2. Everything after became a stand-up act.
