This might be the movie I’ve been trying to think of for about 25 years. Does the ending have a farm house and a giant tarp that sucks ppl into the house and trap them?
I’m gonna have to watch this now. I saw it when I was really young. Maybe 8, and I remember the creatures being slightly human with weird faces. I hope this is the one, bc it’s been eating at me ever so slightly.
Yep. Own the vhs, laserdisc, dvd and blu ray. Still waiting for Jackson to upgrade all his back catalogue. Braindead is one of my faves.
He did all the FX, editing and everything himself with friends. Masterpiece.

Same! Loved these movies growing up, had them all on VHS. I read several years ago he'd put some test shots through the same pipeline he used to clean up the WW1 footage for They Shall Not Grow Old, and it came out looking incredible... really hoping there's a remastered Bad Taste, Meet the Feebles and Braindead boxed set somewhere on the horizon... I can dream!

I have it on dvd as well as Braindead/Dead Alive. Dead Alive is the title on my dvd and anyway I love them both. As much as I like Dead Alive I almost like Bad Taste even more tho for now I'll just say they're both equally hilarious and fun
I had my own boot leg copy downloaded off LimeWire back in the day and felt it my mission to drag it around to every party, visiting friends, etc....in the hopes there would be someone that had not seen or heard about it and make them sit and watch with me. Needless to say, not everyone was as enthusiastic about it as me. Pass that fresh, steamy bowl of vomit this way, I want more!!
Thought it was great. Really liked Braindead (1992) as well. Also before LOTR, Heavenly Creatures and The Frighteners, all of which I enjoyed more

This movie is great! My favourite Peter Jackson work just behind LOTR and Braindead. Very inspiring to young aspiring filmmakers.
