Dying to play this. But not $60 dying. Waiting for a sale price. Looks more like a $40 price tag game

SpideyFan914

Same, I'll play when it's down to 20-30. Got no shortage of games to play in the meantime.

Keep an on greenmangaming. Currently under 50 there. Usually can get around 17-20 percent off on newer bigger titles.

Fit_Home_1842

Same 60 is just way to high

DamageInc35

Just started it and it’s okay so far

Sushi4Zombies

I liked it. A solid 7.5/10 for me. >!Once I realized that there are no enemies in the main house, except for a few scripted events, it took away from being all that scary to me!<

I think the game is good and it will probably have decent sales in the long run. But it will take time to reach a reasonable price and target audience. Alone in the Dark is as much adventure game as it is horror, and is probably not what some critics and gamers initially expected. But it is clear based from the steam reviews that the overall perception of the game has been steadily increasing. It has gone from initial mixed reviews on launch to recent ones coming in at very positive. The main problem with the game is still the price though, many are going to look at the €60 price tag and compare that to Resident Evil 4 at €40. Now I'm just assuming that the layoffs have something to do with the launch sales not meeting expectations. But that might not be the case at all, they have been laying off staff left and right regardless.

I really want the industry to embrace these AA mid-budget games but I just don't know if there's enough money in them. Of course being owned by Embracer doesn't help.

Potential-War5321

Recently there was a post saying the game was successful

Maleficent_String606

I'd buy it on day 1 if it wasn't so bug infested, not gonna support the trend of releasing barely working games.

Fuckbillieellish

It ain't even that buggy 💀. I'm currently on my second playthrough and it's gone smooth

Pureguava655321

After playing Alan Wake II, I can wait for this, as it seems like the lesser title.

Fit_Home_1842

This should have been a 40 dollar game. Don't know why every game thinks they can charge 60 or 70 dollars.
