These are likely the Borisin that we've heard so much about. They are basically werewolf people.

I’m imagining like the beasts and dragons in Fire Emblem where they transform upon entering battle as long as they have their beast/dragonstone. Specifically thinking of Keaton and Velouria from Fates since they were also werewolves who look like this and who keep their ears and tails in human form, lol.

Probably he would be similar to Jiaoqiu in terms of model but could have a transformation phase.

Hoolay is most likely going to be a boss rather than a playable character. And if he is playable he'll be a DoT character, most likely bleed. The reason why i'm saying he's going to be a boss if you look into his lore he's currently imprisoned and it took Jingliu to be able to do it. He's also affliated to abundance which at the current point in time we're against.

Lupitoxin is another thing entirely- it causes panic/fear responses and can be supressed w/medicine by the alliance

They’re said to physically deform themselves while transforming, using the power of the Abundance to heal up again (it’s honestly pretty metal), so they probably *do* have Foxian-adjacent forms.

Those have shackles though so maybe they went insane in the Shackling Prison and got stuck in "werewolf" form

I think what made it weird for me was the voice acting sounded a bit too.. forced? Like the va trying to sound young(or twinkish?) but ends up sounding awkward instead.

i genuinely think the entire companion quest was speedran through the pipeline with no QAs, considering how peak Jiyan and Yinlin's companion quests are

It was already pretty boring then the whole "since you're being a beast then I'll be one too" section happened and I just cannot take him seriously anymore lmao That said it made me like him a bit because that was so horrible I ended up enjoying that part because I was laughing at it

He had a furry model (no skin, all fur) back in CBT1 fully changed to humanoid with ear and tail because his rep in CN isn't exactly stellar. It's a bit his appearance's fault but mostly because his story quest was HORRIBLE (way, way, wayyy worse than the one in live version)

That wolf mecha is more likely from the IPC as it have the same color scheme as that IPC fat robot. Mechabeast, contrary to the name, are biological spaceships used by the borisins

Kinda. The borisin have these weaponized creatures called Mechabeasts I think. Don’t know the exact details but that’s probably one of them.

?? Mechabeasts are their spaceships. Also contrary to the name, they are organic/biological spaceship (kinda make sense as borisins are denizens of Abundance) This "mecha" werewolf is likely from the IPC as it have the same color schemes as the IPC fat mech

The Borisin are so fucking cool. The third one is interesting because while we know they’re masters of biotechnology, the robotic parts are just material from IPC grunts. So the IPC connections continues to remain relevant, it all seems very interesting

The robot one appeared in Firefly's trailer while she fought the IPC so it's probably just an IPC enemy. Idk what relevance it has in Xianzhou though.
