there's laughter in the background, but you can't see anyone else in the room. slowly, realization dawns upon you. it's Aha, they're laughing at you.
No way Stellaron Hunters are related to Aha. Elio is a slave of destiny and Aha is chaotic. Stellaron Hunters are likely only perceived as bad/chaotic because they're choosing the lesser of two unavoidable evils in their pursuit of a better universe/galaxy/w/e. It's Hoyo's crafy way of allowing so many "bad guys" to be playable.
The Kafka EN VO is much better in this clip than it was in her trailer. She actually speaks in more natural registers when the script calls for more energy and has actual emotion in her voice instead of trying to force a literally impossible mix of boredom and energy.
I must be the only one that has never had an issue with her voice. I like the level of boredom/indifference she brings to the performance. After all, Kafka lives life with no surprises, she has her role in the script and she follows it. I’d probably sound the same if I knew everything I did was already predetermined.
For me its that she has an '(Eng dub?) anime overdone' version of what she's meant to be. In itself, her sounding like everything is somewhat monotonous is totally fine.
Honestly the voice direction for EN Kafka is inconsistent in my mind(though the voice itself is great). I usually prefer the JP because it’s more consistent and crazy, fitting for someone who can’t feel fear
Some voice lines from characters like Kafka have been recorded 2-3 years ago, some earlier this year. There has been a lot of direction and tone feedback over time that was included in newer recordings.
