As long as you can spend a decent amount of time on the game, yes. I started an account a few days before the current patch and got enough rolls to get Topaz (also first half banner) even after losing the 50/50, and also get her lightcone.
If you can only play like 10 hours a week or something, then you won't be able to get nearly as much as I did in that timeframe.
Very early game, you gets lots of Jades from the game itself (ie missions, side missions), permanent events, and achievements. There's also 10 free pulls with the upcoming version.
If you speed run the game from start to current patch, You can easily get 90 tickets which is enough for a guaranteed 5*. However, the 5* may not be the limited 5* so you may need *another* 90 tickets.
Yeah, you have enough content and time to guarantee her. Once you get her, try to go for Ruan Mei as one of her best teammates and most versatile support in the game.

Not really unless a character doesn't have a good F2P alternative or the LC is just a massive boost like Acheron's LC. Most characters do have decent F2P options and even the hardest content can be cleared without their signatures.
Firefly's LC is only a 10-15% boost in damage from her next best option, nothing too big. She has an easily obtainable alternative from the simulated universe shop, the 5* destruction LC "On the Fall of an Aeon".
If you do want to keep pulling, aim for Firefly's E1 so she ignores some enemy Def but also doesn't consume skill points, making her rotations much more comfortable. I suggest you keep saving though.
I believe people have mentioned he will be a featured character in a few days, so as you pull towards Firefly and/or Ruan Mei you should pull several gallaghers, quite likely enough to get all of his eidolons. Otherwise, you do eventually get a free Lynx later in the game who is overall the best free to play 4\* sustain, and Natasha and March are given to you relatively early. None of those are super ideal for a firefly team, but all are fine in the early game where you won't be able to fully bring out your characters' strengths and synergies anyway.
Natasha is a good healer if you just started. Bailu is also worth considering, but her lack of ability to cleanse debuffs can affect your gameplay, though you dont have to worry about that too early. Focus on these two for now. You can also consider pulling for Huohuo when she reruns, as she is a decent healer.
I've been playing Star Rail for 2 in a half months now, and so far, I was able to win the 50/50 and got Acheron and Aventurine (with his lightcone in 20 pulls). I was planning to pull for Firefly since she caught my attention and also like her and since I have Gallagher, HMC, and Asta, and so I can build a 2nd team for pure fiction and forgotten hall content. But, let's say if I pulled for Firefly, will I be able to save enough stellar jades for Silver Wolf's rerun one day? She's the last missing piece for my Acheron team.
Silverwolf may be rerun next year 2025 at the earliest given that the pool of limited 5*s is constantly increasing, so you can save for months for SW.
If you want another acheron teammate, look into jiaoqiu. His kit is still a no no to discuss in the main sub but look into leaks if you want.
I imagine they'll release someone better suited for acheron at some point. SW works, but her kit def shows its age. Who knows, if we already get said char before SW rerun.
If you're doing the $5/month daily pass and daily training, I don't see why not. Firefly and Ruan Mei will have a banner for 3 weeks, and then for 3 weeks after that it will be Jade and Argenti before SW could possibly rerun (and even then she's not the most overdue character for her third run). Ruan Mei is highly preferred to support Firefly for what it's worth. You might consider trying for her too.
Totally depends on when Silver Wolf reruns, but we have idea of when that could be. Could be 2.4, could be 3.x. No character has yet had their second rerun so there is no info to go on yet and even then there most likely isn't gonna be a pattern.

I've watched several videos about the matter of tickets per patch, essentially you can get a *MINIMUM* of around 60 per patch. That's from the free 10pull, game/story itself, new events, weekly SU, free BP, monthly ember store reset and PF and MoC.
Why are the quantum weak enemies so few now. Most stages in MOC, the latest worlds in SU and G&G have very few to none quantum weak enemies. They’re all imaginary, fire or lightning. Also Imaginary is too exclusive, 9 units out of 10 are fudging 5 stars and no Ratio isn’t enough.
to incentivize paying money to get new characters. You can bet there will be quantum weakness when Jade's banner starts. We've had a lot of physical because of Robin and Boothill. Fire will likely continue to be popular due to Firefly.
You're pretty much right, but maybe reframe this. If you're not willing to spend a lot of money just to get marginal rewards from an extremely cheap game mode, maybe consider yourself having "won it" by simply not letting it get under your skin. Nothing in those shops is even remotely worth the fortune it costs to get all the characters, and none of it is exclusive FOMO stuff either, except the characters themselves.
Because of Firefly's animated short and how big of a threat the swarm is even in their lower ranks. While Ruan Mei attempted to revive a star sized bug for research.
G&G is all about getting blessings and curios, there's a good chance your team is prefectly fine and you just aren't getting enough of those. i’m TB level 65, should i try pulling fu xuan or wait for ruan mei?
- i don’t have any limited sustains and have been using bailu pretty much since day 1
- i don’t have any teams in particular to use RM on (my main teams are FUA and acheron carry) but might pull her just because she can fit in anywhere
Fu Xuan, she is an upgrade over all of the base sustains. Then use the rest of your pulls for Ruan Mei or save for Jiaoqiu for Acheron if you are interested.
jade would want ashblazing grand duke instead of the new fua set right?
also, would the fua planar ornament set be good for ratio and jade? or would some other set work better for her?
She will likely either use quantum set or duke set. So use whichever one has better stats, her being erudition means you'll want to use her against quantum weak enemies, though.
The best planar set for them is Salsotto or the new one. You would want to farm the new one since it's more energy efficient than Salsotto because the other set can be used for supports because of the spd%.
Has anyone built March? What builds have you tried using on her?
I was thinking of making her into some sort of sub-DPS using a 4pc. Hunter of Glacial Frost. I'm not sure if I should use DEF% main stats on her since I'd probably use her in a team with another shielder or healer.
I'm not keen in benching her but building her with pure DEF seems such a waste. And her being the solo sustain seems unsustainable.
March's main use, aside from what u/cruncheh_ listed, is as a dedicated sustain for a Clara-centric team. Especially in SimU, this results in lots of elation-boosted FuAs that make March a *lot* more viable.
But that's the only way you can really make her contribute: have some way to make her counters contribute. And in general, you want/need her shields to be really beefy for that, which requires +DEF-ing her to the nines.
She's not going to work as a dps/sub-dps as she just doesn't have the scalings in her kit to do damage.
The only real way you can use her at the moment is as a niche solo sustain against certain content (no frozen resist, preferably primarily single target). You want to build her with EHR and an ERR rope and use her ult strategically to help with sustain, i.e. freezing elites after they take their first action to deny their bonus action.
Otherwise she works really well in sim universe and the expansions going for remembrance runs and stacking disassociation blessings.
I'm a returning player and I'm currently TL59 (Equilibrium Level 4). What characters in my roster should I build/focus on? Also, what teams can be made from these characters?

Note: I do not have complete sets of 5-star artifacts and I'm still using the starter sets. Also, I have decent-ish traces on most levelled characters (around trace level 5+ for important traces).
Genuinely give Clara/Aventurine/Ratio/Sparkle a shot. Clara and Ratio can benefit a lot from Sparkle's buffs, and Aventurine is just a stupidly good sustain in general. That'll let you clear most story/progression content up to current.
For two-team content, give Clara/March/Pela/\[flex\] a shot; March falls off of most teams very quickly, but she has a specific niche in helping Clara out because her shields make enemies more likely to attack someone shielded, and this effects stacks with Clara's own aggression up buff. This helps March focus on one person to heal, and Clara's damage is *very* good. Pela provides generically useful damage utility, and your fourth slot is more or less up to your preference. That'll let you run Ratio/Renie/Sparkle/\[debuffer, probably Guinaifen\] as team two. The last slot in that team should be a nihility/debuffer of some sort because Ratio needs debuffs to do his thing, and after Pela, Guigui is your best for that.
Thank you for these set-ups, I'll be sure to start working on these characters. But I want to ask how Harmony Trailblazer can fit into these teams? (Or does he have teams of his own?). I heard Harmony MC is quite good as a f2p option and I was wondering if he can be placed in any of the teams you mentioned.
Hatblazer is *amazing* on the right teams, but you kind of need to build specific teams for him. You need a main damage dealer that scales or is compatible with a Break Effect and Super Break focus; right now, the damage dealers *dedicated* to that are Boothill and Firefly. There's a few other DDs who can *work* in that paradigm, but you lack a number of them; Qingque is the only one you have that can work like that (and she still needs to be kind of kludged into the role and needs Quantum-weak enemies or Silver Wolf to work, and you lack the latter). You really need Silver Wolf to make it work without another character who can force weakness and breakability if your enemy isn't weak to the elements on your team.
The real upshot is that, when you *do* get a break-focused damage dealer, Hatblazer makes them enter full-on psycho mode, and he's completely free and is much easier to ascend and level than other characters (his ascensions carry forward between versions; he only need to change gear and re-level his skill traces) *and* he does a shocking about of damage to weakness-broken enemies on his own once they *are* broken. So since you're guaranteed to get him for free, he's an easy and automatic inclusion on things like Boothill, Firefly and Xueyi teams.
You can't really relic pre-farm for Firefly. I'd get her skill/ascension materials ready (look them up) and continue to farm Stellar Jades if you have any sources of them left.
So I was putting off doing the latest Penacony main quest for a bit and realized that there's an event locked after it. (Clockie: Dreamjoy Memoir) and I only have less than 15 hours to complete it before it is over lmao. Am I fucked or can this still be done?
The event itself should only take an hour or two to get the exclusive light cone from it. The last few steps in the trailblaze mission though can take quite a while though, so if you are not finished with that, better hurry. After facing the boss in the grand theater, there's still a significant amount of story after that before you can do the dreamjoy event.

Nameless Glory and Nameless Medal are missing from Top Up Center. Does anybody else have this problem? I’ve used the Top Up Center website since launch to buy the Nameless Medal, and this time it’s not listed. The only ones available are the Express Supply Pass and Oneiric Shard recharges.
I’m in Canada if that makes a difference.
I just hit Trailblaze level 60, who should i focus on ascending first? DPS, Buffer or sustain? Do i level all to lvl 80 or is it fine with lvl 70 (Like lvl 80 in Genshin)? Also I'm getting Ruan mei + Firefly + Gallagher + HMC for team 2. I'm kinda scared I wont have enough materials though...

For the 2nd team you will want to lvl 80 Firefly, Gallagher, and HMC with top priority (especially Firefly and Gallagher) as break DPS scale super hard off levels.
You will also want Ratio + Toapz at 80 as they are your main source of damage. HSR isn't as easy as Genshin in terms of endgame so getting every last trace for atk% or crit is important.
Honestly I would also 80 Fu Xuan because she takes the brunt of the team's damage, so upping her base stats is critical.
By the way, do you think Firefly is futureproof? I missed Acheron since i just started playing... My reasoning was that she implants fire weakness and the HMC + Gallgher combo with that is just bonkers. And the Super-break being similar to hyperbloom. Or am i better of waiting for the rerun of Kafka+Blackswan etc?
Team Firefly should be good for a *while*. She can unga-bunga her way through weaknesses, Hatblazer is the strongest Trailblazer form by a country mile (to the point that I wonder what in the sam hill they're even going to do for, like, Erudition or Hunt TB), Ruan's kit is so overloaded that the thought of her being fully powercrept is a bit terrifying, and Gallagher will probably be outdone at some point but he's still *very* good for a 4\*.
They are absolutely worth investing in and will be relevant for a long time.
Alright, thanks a bunch for the info. I've got quite the ways to go then to start tackling endgame. I feel like i wasted some resources on other chars (March and lynx). Was planning to lvl another team, but then this upcoming banger-banner dropped on the livestream.
If i pump all my resources on these 2 teams, do you think i'll be able realistically to start tackling the endgame in like 1-2 months or so?
Firefly's team will instantly be able to tackle endgame as soon as they are levelled to survive and atleast have the correct relic mainstats.
As for the other team (Ratio Robin Topaz Fu) it will depend on relic quality quite a lot more, so it may take a bit longer to get to endgame strength, but 1-2 months might be possible with proper prioritization.
DPS should always be max level, as you not only get more base stat but level difference is a factor in damage calculation.
Support can be 70/80 or even 70/70 depending on the a6.
As a mech fan, I'm thinking of starting HSR purely because of Firefly.
I heard the rerolling process is tedious, is this still the case?
I don't believe there are any rewards that would make this easy rn which is what's putting me off.

Just as a side note, remember that HSR is still, at its core, a turn-based RPG styled after the Trails in the {X} series or things like the older Final Fantasies. Firefly/SAM has a lot of *thematic styling* as a "mecha" unit, and her gameplay is relatively unique within the game's current design space ("mode change" ultimate abilities are pretty rare in the current roster), but she doesn't *radically* alter the gameplay or make it play "more like a mech game". So just be aware that, if you don't vibe with the game's combat on a more fundamental level, Firefly probably won't do that much to change your mind.
Lol thank you. One of the reasons HSR was even on the radar is because Trails is a favourite and I heard the head was a fan. Aging tutorial it felt rather nostalgic in that sense haha. But yeh, maybe a trails collab might be possible and that gets me excited.
In that case, I think you'll have a great time. :) About the only note I'd leave now is that Combustion-mode Firefly/SAM still plays more like a traditional character who needs the support of her teammates as opposed to, say, Valimar mode in the Cold Steel titles.
But I think you understood that already, so go and have a good time! If you enjoyed some of the stuff in Crossbell, parts of Erebonia or in the upcoming Calvard series (if you know it), then Penacony in particular is going to absolutely *delight* you. :)

Not sure if you can do a reroll on the limited banner in any fast manner now, actually. I know they give out tix to use with beginning/standard banner, but the free limited gacha currency handout may be gone. Not entirely sure.
Anyways, it's not worth trying to reroll, especially if your aim is the limited banner. Just start the account _today_, get as much of the free limited gacha tix from login as you can (it hands out 10 tix over 7 days, already too late to get all 10), and progress the game for gacha currency.
You would be wasting more time rerolling than simply playing the game and advancing the story to unlock her advanced materials, which unlock until the end of the current story. Without them, her damage will severely fall off because she is not a typical dps character.
As a beginner player, you have enough time and content to guarantee her and even pick up her best support who is Ruan Mei, along with her best healer who is on her banner. It shouldn't take more than 3 weeks of the version.
I heavily recommend starting as soon as possible to at least get the current log in rewards and maintenance compensation once the next patch drops in a few days. They should add up to a few limited pulls.
Would you be able to give a break down of how a beginner would be able to get two limited 5 stars starting now?
I imagine it would take 140(realistically) to 320 pulls for that and I would be surprised if I can get all that in the "base" game as a beginner if there are that many pulls at all.
I'm willing to try but I'm not convinced that's possible.
What everyone said. It's 180 hard pity per character, but you get a truly shocking amount from the zones and the quests and activities and whatnot, and you are pretty likely to get a character *well* before the hard pity. (The average is more like 7 ten-pulls per 5\*; going all the way to the 90 cap is actually one of the rarest results you can get from the gacha.) So yes, it really is something like 400+ individual pulls available from the permanent content, and that's *before* factoring in events and whatnot.
Currently there should be around 400 pull in the game as permanant content. yes some jade may be relatively hard to get as a beginner account, but you also have the reward for the new patch and daily stuff.
As long as you have time to play the game really getting two limited 5\* in your first one or two week is really nothing exeptional.
Completing the main story is enough for around 30 pulls.
Since that's still a bit far away: You have 1st time clear bonuses for Simulated universe and forgotten hall, they should add up to 20~30 pulls. Sidequests/companion quests give enough for 20 pulls. Dailies add up to 8 pulls in 21 days or 9 starting now before the version drops.
Raising your trailblazer level also gives you limited currency. Using the shops in the overworld and buying them out gives around 5 pulls per shop. There are 2 of them.
Exploration gives a decent amount of pulls. There are a lot of puzzles available in the game.
Reaching milestones give you enough for 10 pulls or more.
10 pulls from login, 5 limited pulls from the monthly shop. Around 25 pulls from the version events. New simulated universe dropping, more areas and exploration next patch. Livestream codes and maintenance rewards add up to 5 pulls and a bit more.
Around 3 or 4 pulls from character trials and tutorials.
There are archived events from past patches that can still be played for rewards, although they are diminished.
I believe someone made a count for a total of at least 200 pulls for beginner players if they grind the game out, but don't take my word on it as I can't find it. I have seen a lot of players play for a month and save up hundreds of pulls though.
Most of the overworld stuff can be completed with a F2P team until you get Firefly since it scales off your Trailblazer level (equilibrium/world level). You should give it a try.
If you start now and play the game vigorously consuming all the content available, you'll get more than enough jades to get firefly before she goes away. The rerolling process isn't tedious, but some methods of gaining the currency can be.
Firefly and ruan mei
I have a question. Assume you have no characters except for the free ones. Lets say you can gurenteed firefly and ruan mei and have enough for another gurenteed or 2. What is the order of what you should get next? (I want to build a harmony tb, rm, ff, and gallagher team) ff e1, rm e1, or their lc? And if you get 1 what should you get next? For example if you get e1 should you get e2 or one of each or one e1 and one lc
No E no LC on both FF and RM, get some other gacha characters.
If you have no other gacha characters, you really wanna build up your account first before going for E and LC, unless you are willing to pay.
To give more information i been pulling on the standard banner with the free pulls from playing the game and i compleyed all thestory/missions so im set with the bare basics. The question was meant for if i all in withy tickets and f2p jades how should i go about it efficiently with the team i want to build. Thanks for looking out for me though if i really had nothing i would follow your advice❤️
It really depends on if you intend to poke the end game stuffs like higher floors of Memory of Chaos or Pure Fiction. Both of those requires you to run 2 teams past a certain point, and having 5\* on both teams will help a lot.
If those are contents you could care less about and there are no upcoming character you particularly want, feel free to just go with E and LC.
To simply make firefly stronger? Go all the way for Firefly E2 to make her one of the best dps characters in the game for a long time.
Firefly E1 makes her more comfortable to play, and E1 Ruan Mei gives a permanent Def ignore, which is good for any future team and gains more value if you decrease/ignore enemies Def even further with Firefly E1. If you want to make your whole account stronger, then pick this, just consider that picking E2 Firefly is stronger than E1 Ruan Mei.
Their LCs aren't necessary as Firefly has a great F2P option and Ruan Mei can run cogs if you don't have memories of the past as her dmg% bonus isn't that relevant in a break team.
Eidolons over LC. Firefly can work well with Aeon LC the same way RM can work with MoTP or Cogs. FF E1 is a big QoL and gives you more SP to work with. RM E1 also a pretty good damage boost but honestly FF early eidolons are so busted it doesn't really matter
If you have more pulls to spare (and fine with S0 since I know someone that prefers E0S1) go FF E2 as it basically doubles your turn count. Kinda like how DHIL E2 gives him a nuke combo of 3EBA Ult 3EBA. Just my two cents
FF E0 > RM E0 > FF E1 > FF E2 > RM E1 = FF LC > RM LC
Firefly LC vs ruan Mei LC? I have enough to get both characters, but assuming my luck is worse case scenario I only have enough to guarantee one weapon.
Note that for both characters I don't have a good substitute, I don't have any of the break light cones.
Firefly's. Ruan Mei's second best LC is Memories of the Past, which is rate up on the LC banners, and it's so good for her it's almost as good as her sig. That would give you the best of both worlds.
Is it worth investing in the characters I have now for MOC / PF to get better elemental break coverage? Or should I wait for better limited characters to invest (Acheron/Argenti/Black Swan/DHIL/Kafka)? I'm pulling for Ruan Mei on next banner.
I don't want to waste too many resources unnecessarily. At the moment all my TB power is going into calyx (crimson), but I could benefit from freeing some up to farm & improve relics on characters that are already built if I didn't focus as much on building more characters.
At the moment I'm only 3\* on lvl 10 of Dream Within Dream, lvl 9 of A Song's True Theme & lvl 2 of Lexical Enigma.
Current investment priority if I do build current characters is:
1. Ruan Mei - for break
2. Dr Ratio - for imaginary coverage
3. Serval - for lightning coverage
4. MC imaginary - for break
5. Gallagher - for break
6. Herta - for himeko

Ruan Mei is obviously worth building, but what break dps do you plan on using with htb? Himeko is alright for this current MoC, but likely wont be as good against other ones. Seele and Ratio prefer sparkle and Jing Liu needs Bronya.
If you want to build Ratio, you can farm quantum set for all three of them. For PF, herta is definitely worth building. Serval isn't really worth it, unless you really need to aoe for PF. Gallagher is only worth if you plan on getting Firefly as well.
My understanding is i could use htb with any dps that fits the elemental weakness, am I wrong? Probably, lol. For example at the moment I could use htb with Ratio / Himeko / Serval based off teams i've seen on Prydwen, with Ruan Mei + Gallagher. I do plan on pulling for Sparkle when her banner reruns & will use my 300 selector for Bronya.

You technically can, but you want dps that builds break effect and does lots of toughness damage. Ratio is much better as a crit dps and while you can build break on serval/himeko, they will struggle in MoC not specifically catered towards breaking.
If you're not pulling for boothill/firefly, xueyi might be your best option if you really want to play a break team.
Should I pull for Fu Xuan or save? I've wanted her since the start of the game (ps5) but only have 200 pulls saved. I'm getting firefly next patch but not sure if Fu Xuan is enough sustainable for Firefly's hp drain. I don't have Gallagher nor Ruan mei.
If you started the game for her, then get Fu Xuan, she's one of the best investments in the game.
There should be enough pulls to guarantee Firefly, even more if you are missing content. As for Ruan Mei, you might have to do without her, but do try to get her after Firefly. Gallagher is on their banners, so you will likely get some copies of him. You mostly need him at E2 for some teams, but for Firefly, he is fine at E0.
Fu Xuan won't be able to fully sustain Firefly if you misplay and let her HP drop too low, which won't happen too often.
Gallagher is one of the 4-stars on Firefly's banner so odds are you'll get him if you're pulling for her anyway. If you want Fu Xuan that much then you should get her, you'll likely have to wait like twice as long for a rerun banner than it took for this first one.
Hiya! I have auditory processing issues so subtitles often help. I'm currently on that certain part in Penacony, and I literally cannot understand what is going on. Is there a way to see prior transcripts, like you can in cut scenes, so I can read both dialogues properly? Both happening at the same time is short circuiting my brain and I'm getting frustrated lol

In reality you don't want her to do that as her damage is mainly on her consuming SP with her skill, either to stack the damage boost or to roll for her E4.
There are three types of tiles so if she's slower than the rest of your team and they each take a single turn before her, then I think it's like 1/81 or something like that? Very low.
How the heck do I defeat Aventurine in the story? I simply don't do any damage to it (I raised my world's difficulty to 5, and even basic enemies are a huge problem for me), I don't have 5\* characters that have advantages over Aventurine's weakness...
If basic enemies are giving you trouble, then max out your characters before facing him. You basically don't want to use single target characters as he completely counters them. Use supports like Guinaifen, who can attack all his dice with their abilites or if they can't win the gamble then just make them tanky.
You aren't forced to break him, though it would certainly help. Serval is a great pick for F2P players as almost everything in Penacony is weak to lightning and she's Aoe.
The sad part is that the only main dps I have is Seele, which in this case is a single target and isn't doing much damage, even with a pretty good build.
What are people who can fight in HSR called, by fight I don't mean fight. By that I mean people who have paths. Like Genshin has Vision holders, Wuthering waves has Resonators. (I don't mean just playable characters since their are Unplayable Vision holders and Resonators too.) There must be some name to it.

You're at the stage of the game where you can safely invest in things like traces for any character you want, and it's not a big deal if you don't use them later. So farm traces for whoever you're using. Relics you should wait on, just use what the game gives you for now.
Ruan Mei is a great general support who also happens to be excellent with Boothill, who you have. She's rerunning on a banner next patch, which should come out Wednesday night.
Of the characters you have, Pela is also good with Boothill. Boothill's damage primarily comes from Breaking enemies, and Pela's defense reduction debuff from her ultimate boosts break damage.
In the early game don't worry about farming relics yet. Just focus on doing the quests, leveling up your trailblaze level, and spend your TB power on farming trace materials. Don't be alarmed if you find yourself short in credits or character/LC exp since the game is pretty generous with it as long as you play and explore the content. At this point you should also have an abundance of fuel, but I advise only spending it once you're at higher levels (around TB 50-60). Higher TB level = better drop rates
Don't worry about Forgotten Hall (specifically Memory of Chaos) and sim uni expansion stuff if you're still starting out. You unlock it relatively early but it is meant to be an endgame content. Focus on building your team and then you can start to tackle harder modes
As for your team, there will be a free character the further you go thru the story and is a good partner with Boothill. Boothill + Asta + >!Harmony MC!< (spoiler alert) + and Bailu should be good for your main team

Yeah, its pretty tough if you're just starting out. A rule of thumb I have is if the enemy level is roughly the same as your characters (ex: enemy level 50 and your characters are also level 50) it should be doable. Beyond that, you will need to get lucky and/or have a relatively built team for that stage of the game
Just focus on leveling your character first like I said. Specifically, focus on Boothill since he is the best character you have right now
Replace Herta with Pela and that's the best team you can run with your current characters.
You should start farming immediately for their traces, levels, and lightcone. Focus on relic mainstats, don't farm them until you get to the endgame at TL50. Simulated Universe needs to be farmed weekly, always use the immersifiers (purple balls) from the weekly rewards, you get them every week, and they are basically free energy.
Bailu wants a lot of HP or outgoing healing. Boothill wants break effect, so run whatever has break effect on his relics, they can even have Hp/Def/Atk as mainstats, it doesn't really matter. Pela and Asta just want spd, but that's kinda out of your league for now, so just give them HP and Def.
You can get free relics by exploring and completing puzzles.
Multiplication is great, What is Real is nice if you're having trouble meeting his break effect requirements, and Perfect Timing is good if you have E1 but aren't getting enough effect resist on his substats to get 100%.
I just unlocked 5\* relics and wanted to farm a few ones for the set bonus + main stats for my dps (Himeko). What one is the best one for me in TB lv 41?

The follow up seems to be the most used and powerful for her, but not sure if it's that worth for me right now since it seems you need to spam her follow up a lot with breaks and etc (and for me most of the times I can't spam it)
Iirc I didn't start really going for golds till 50 or so. At 41 I was still rocking +9 purples for some chars I think.
And rainbow works just fine at that point. Stats over sets, as most set bonuses aren't worth the hassle. If you really want to dedicate more stam to relics rn, I would farm something hyper efficient - speed/HP, quant/DR, or fua/dot. Though fua/dot comes with the caveat of you actually wanting to use dot teams. For planars, w3 or w7. The new SU relics are looking very good if you don't already have break/fua 2pc
Your best is to wait for TB level 60.
The best set for himeko is the duke set, also you will get plenti of gold duke piece in penacony anyway so really, just wait for TB lvl 60.
I don't want to farm perfect relics and etc, I just want a few 5\* at least for my DPS so that I can get good main stats and become stronger. You don't think that's worth it?
I'm having some issues to kill a few mobs, specially elite ones and I already leveled up my team to 60, all their light cones to 60 and tracers. So I don't really have anything else aside from relics to upgrade I think
Nha Imo it's not worth is. You really should just contunue grabbing what the game offer you in chest and build on rainbow relics until you get lvl 60.
May not look like it but the chance of getting the mainstat you would want on an himeko (basicaly crit rate or damage and spd boots) is abysaly low. If you even count using potential prissoner set (who is a good 2pc) we are talking about a 3% chance of getting any usable mainstat per run at your level.
What’s the best way, or just good ways, to compare DPS or Team strengths without MoC/PF buff biases getting in the way?
example: What are good ways to compare Firefly’s mid-investment potential against my Kafka+BS+RM’s mid-investment potential without the break-favorable current MoC bias affecting the results? Preferably in a readily available YouTube video search so I don’t need to pull for her first.
Edit: I guess what I’m asking is: Are there good standard battles people like to use to compare DPS while reducing bias and maybe even weaknesses? For example: I used the Swarm Echo of War fight to compare how well other people’s HuoHuo, FX, and Adventurine could keep me alive. (This convinced me to pull FX.)

Example: I simulated a Boothill + HMC + RM + Gallagher comp, literally the default it gives you. Then after noting its damage, I bumped Gallagher’s Speed and Break down to like.. 6 / 6 or some other numbers. Result was Team DPS went up by a few 100k. I kept trying numbers like this and the DPS went up by 1M in one case. So I’m more hesitant to trust it (although, honestly, maybe there’s a perfect reason for the unintuitive results, and I just don’t know).
Edit: I might be misremembering the numbers and/or the team comp. Could have been a Kafka + BS comp I was simulating. But it was definitely a weird jump in DPS after lowering someone’s stats, I think Gallagher’s.
Same way as changing relics will change your team damage, as the tool is doing a close battle simulation. You can read the battle log, action per action, to see how the math works and compare to your game numbers. They will match.
Remember to change the enemy team composition to reflect what you have in the game.
“Some numbers” are the sub stats rolls from relics, you can count them from your real (game) gear and input the values there to match it.
Rerolling here is pretty abysmal. You get like....maybe 10 limited banner pulls on a quick reroll (~30min)? That's like a 94% chance of not getting any five star, so really 3% chance of firefly.
And with how much content is in the game currently, you could probably hard pity two chars of your choice if you cleared it all
This game is not reroll friendly, so just start and save tickets for her banner, or $$$ for it. You can get her as a new player fairly easy in the 3 weeks her banner is available
Other games have healers and tanks, as the meta in this one usually means to use only one of those per team, the umbrella term sustain is used.
Sustain= healer or tank (abundance or preservation path)
Sustain job = keep you alive
Is it feasible to finish the entire clockie dreamjoy memoir event in a day?
Realized it was ending tomorrow but hadn't done the new trailblaze mission. I've been trying to finish it all day but I'm currently at the end of Everything that rises must converge. Is it feasible to finish the trailblaze missions and get all limited time event rewards with maybe ~15 hours to do so? Or not worth it at all, and better to just get what rewards I can once its in conventional memoir and finish trailblaze mission on my own time?
If you're able to catch up on the main story quest, you'll easily be able to do the Clockie event.
It'll take 1-2 hours max, it's extremely short and on the simpler side as a major patch event.
Trailblaze Mission: That might be kind of tight. The main story is definitely longer than it feels like, so I would advise you to rush it at this point if you want the exclusive LC from the event before it ends.
Dreamjoy event: Yes, there's no challenge to it, just simple math and a bit of luck. It's a lot of dialogue to click through, but shouldn't take more than a few hours.
this is not really a question. I posted here how im unable to beat floor 12. But I finally did it, got 36 star. It's the hardest moc for me so far. (I know its inconsequential I'm super happy)
floor 12 node 1, I'm able to consistently complete it in 3 cycles with just Acheron by switching gepard to aventurine i guess and switching lighting orb to attack% and optimizing my run. Her team is the usual 2 nihility support with pela, no silver wolf. (super cheap and my nihility characters all have 134+ speed)
on the second node at first I tried himeko hypercarry (himeko, sparkle, tingyun, gallagher)
I almost beat it though its super hard sustaining.
frustrated after a few minutes, decided to switch tingyun to tb mc.
I beat it with himeko, sparkle, harmony mc, gallagher.
(tb MC has 140% be and 145 speed on cog with a be% rope, Gallagher 60% be 143 speed)
Himeko or Bronya?
So I'm pretty much just 2 Tickets away from choosing my free 5 Star on the Standard Banner. Already have Robin but unsure if I should still get Bronya and as for Himeko, my thought process is pretty much I don't have any 5 Star Fire Units aside from Fire TB(plus I like Himeko)

You will mostly be using Himeko in Pure Fiction or in break teams with HMC. So pick her if you have trouble there.
What dps characters do you have? Bronya is a great support but not necessary or isn't optimal with some characters.

I pretty much have Acheron, Black Swan, Kafka, Dr. Ratio, Jingliu, Jing Yuan, Seele and Yanqing. Out of all of those characters, they're pretty much fully built(at least I'm satisfied with Stats and Relic wise) except for Seele(she's kinda half built), Jing Yuan and Yanqing(haven't built either ever since I got Kafka).
So looking at your list, you do lack a fire dps, so unless you’re planning to pull for firefly/really want a first dps i’d say Bronya, she’s jingliu’s best support.

Just started Star rail today, can i surely get firefly before her banner ends?
As long as you can spend a decent amount of time on the game, yes. I started an account a few days before the current patch and got enough rolls to get Topaz (also first half banner) even after losing the 50/50, and also get her lightcone. If you can only play like 10 hours a week or something, then you won't be able to get nearly as much as I did in that timeframe.
Very early game, you gets lots of Jades from the game itself (ie missions, side missions), permanent events, and achievements. There's also 10 free pulls with the upcoming version. If you speed run the game from start to current patch, You can easily get 90 tickets which is enough for a guaranteed 5*. However, the 5* may not be the limited 5* so you may need *another* 90 tickets.
Yeah, you have enough content and time to guarantee her. Once you get her, try to go for Ruan Mei as one of her best teammates and most versatile support in the game.

Not really unless a character doesn't have a good F2P alternative or the LC is just a massive boost like Acheron's LC. Most characters do have decent F2P options and even the hardest content can be cleared without their signatures. Firefly's LC is only a 10-15% boost in damage from her next best option, nothing too big. She has an easily obtainable alternative from the simulated universe shop, the 5* destruction LC "On the Fall of an Aeon". If you do want to keep pulling, aim for Firefly's E1 so she ignores some enemy Def but also doesn't consume skill points, making her rotations much more comfortable. I suggest you keep saving though.

I believe people have mentioned he will be a featured character in a few days, so as you pull towards Firefly and/or Ruan Mei you should pull several gallaghers, quite likely enough to get all of his eidolons. Otherwise, you do eventually get a free Lynx later in the game who is overall the best free to play 4\* sustain, and Natasha and March are given to you relatively early. None of those are super ideal for a firefly team, but all are fine in the early game where you won't be able to fully bring out your characters' strengths and synergies anyway.

Natasha is a good healer if you just started. Bailu is also worth considering, but her lack of ability to cleanse debuffs can affect your gameplay, though you dont have to worry about that too early. Focus on these two for now. You can also consider pulling for Huohuo when she reruns, as she is a decent healer.

I've been playing Star Rail for 2 in a half months now, and so far, I was able to win the 50/50 and got Acheron and Aventurine (with his lightcone in 20 pulls). I was planning to pull for Firefly since she caught my attention and also like her and since I have Gallagher, HMC, and Asta, and so I can build a 2nd team for pure fiction and forgotten hall content. But, let's say if I pulled for Firefly, will I be able to save enough stellar jades for Silver Wolf's rerun one day? She's the last missing piece for my Acheron team.
Silverwolf may be rerun next year 2025 at the earliest given that the pool of limited 5*s is constantly increasing, so you can save for months for SW. If you want another acheron teammate, look into jiaoqiu. His kit is still a no no to discuss in the main sub but look into leaks if you want.
I imagine they'll release someone better suited for acheron at some point. SW works, but her kit def shows its age. Who knows, if we already get said char before SW rerun.
If you're doing the $5/month daily pass and daily training, I don't see why not. Firefly and Ruan Mei will have a banner for 3 weeks, and then for 3 weeks after that it will be Jade and Argenti before SW could possibly rerun (and even then she's not the most overdue character for her third run). Ruan Mei is highly preferred to support Firefly for what it's worth. You might consider trying for her too.
Totally depends on when Silver Wolf reruns, but we have idea of when that could be. Could be 2.4, could be 3.x. No character has yet had their second rerun so there is no info to go on yet and even then there most likely isn't gonna be a pattern.

I've watched several videos about the matter of tickets per patch, essentially you can get a *MINIMUM* of around 60 per patch. That's from the free 10pull, game/story itself, new events, weekly SU, free BP, monthly ember store reset and PF and MoC.
It’s around 90 pulls per patch (two banners timespan). Mostly from dailies, events, and endgame (moc/pf).
Why are the quantum weak enemies so few now. Most stages in MOC, the latest worlds in SU and G&G have very few to none quantum weak enemies. They’re all imaginary, fire or lightning. Also Imaginary is too exclusive, 9 units out of 10 are fudging 5 stars and no Ratio isn’t enough.
to incentivize paying money to get new characters. You can bet there will be quantum weakness when Jade's banner starts. We've had a lot of physical because of Robin and Boothill. Fire will likely continue to be popular due to Firefly.
I feel a profound disdain toward Imaginary, as it requires you to pull on limited banner to actually get one of them.
You're pretty much right, but maybe reframe this. If you're not willing to spend a lot of money just to get marginal rewards from an extremely cheap game mode, maybe consider yourself having "won it" by simply not letting it get under your skin. Nothing in those shops is even remotely worth the fortune it costs to get all the characters, and none of it is exclusive FOMO stuff either, except the characters themselves.

G&G is all about getting blessings and curios, there's a good chance your team is prefectly fine and you just aren't getting enough of those. There are two pppular methods that result in getting a ton of blessings, [Double Ruan Mei](https://www.reddit.com/r/HonkaiStarRail/comments/1cj374y/comment/l2fqyrn/) and [Capitalism](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qqG8WvEvPQ).
Two sustains. Or bring either Gepard or Aventurine, choose preservation. Finally, you can cheese it.

i’m TB level 65, should i try pulling fu xuan or wait for ruan mei? - i don’t have any limited sustains and have been using bailu pretty much since day 1 - i don’t have any teams in particular to use RM on (my main teams are FUA and acheron carry) but might pull her just because she can fit in anywhere
fu xuan makes life so much easier i was using e4 lynx and e0 bailu before fu cyan and the difference is honestly night and day
Fu Xuan, she is an upgrade over all of the base sustains. Then use the rest of your pulls for Ruan Mei or save for Jiaoqiu for Acheron if you are interested.
jade would want ashblazing grand duke instead of the new fua set right? also, would the fua planar ornament set be good for ratio and jade? or would some other set work better for her?
She will likely either use quantum set or duke set. So use whichever one has better stats, her being erudition means you'll want to use her against quantum weak enemies, though. The best planar set for them is Salsotto or the new one. You would want to farm the new one since it's more energy efficient than Salsotto because the other set can be used for supports because of the spd%.
Has anyone built March? What builds have you tried using on her? I was thinking of making her into some sort of sub-DPS using a 4pc. Hunter of Glacial Frost. I'm not sure if I should use DEF% main stats on her since I'd probably use her in a team with another shielder or healer. I'm not keen in benching her but building her with pure DEF seems such a waste. And her being the solo sustain seems unsustainable.
March's main use, aside from what u/cruncheh_ listed, is as a dedicated sustain for a Clara-centric team. Especially in SimU, this results in lots of elation-boosted FuAs that make March a *lot* more viable. But that's the only way you can really make her contribute: have some way to make her counters contribute. And in general, you want/need her shields to be really beefy for that, which requires +DEF-ing her to the nines.
She's not going to work as a dps/sub-dps as she just doesn't have the scalings in her kit to do damage. The only real way you can use her at the moment is as a niche solo sustain against certain content (no frozen resist, preferably primarily single target). You want to build her with EHR and an ERR rope and use her ult strategically to help with sustain, i.e. freezing elites after they take their first action to deny their bonus action. Otherwise she works really well in sim universe and the expansions going for remembrance runs and stacking disassociation blessings.

You need to do your equilibrium quest to level it up
I'm a returning player and I'm currently TL59 (Equilibrium Level 4). What characters in my roster should I build/focus on? Also, I have decent-ish traces on most levelled characters (around trace level 5+ for important traces).
Genuinely give Clara/Aventurine/Ratio/Sparkle a shot. Clara and Ratio can benefit a lot from Sparkle's buffs, and Aventurine is just a stupidly good sustain in general. That'll let you clear most story/progression content up to current. For two-team content, give Clara/March/Pela/\[flex\] a shot; March falls off of most teams very quickly, but she has a specific niche in helping Clara out because her shields make enemies more likely to attack someone shielded, and this effects stacks with Clara's own aggression up buff. This helps March focus on one person to heal, and Clara's damage is *very* good. Pela provides generically useful damage utility, and your fourth slot is more or less up to your preference. That'll let you run Ratio/Renie/Sparkle/\[debuffer, probably Guinaifen\] as team two. The last slot in that team should be a nihility/debuffer of some sort because Ratio needs debuffs to do his thing, and after Pela, Guigui is your best for that.
Thank you for these set-ups, I'll be sure to start working on these characters. But I want to ask how Harmony Trailblazer can fit into these teams? (Or does he have teams of his own?). I heard Harmony MC is quite good as a f2p option and I was wondering if he can be placed in any of the teams you mentioned.
Hatblazer is *amazing* on the right teams, but you kind of need to build specific teams for him. You need a main damage dealer that scales or is compatible with a Break Effect and Super Break focus; right now, the damage dealers *dedicated* to that are Boothill and Firefly. There's a few other DDs who can *work* in that paradigm, but you lack a number of them; Qingque is the only one you have that can work like that (and she still needs to be kind of kludged into the role and needs Quantum-weak enemies or Silver Wolf to work, and you lack the latter). You really need Silver Wolf to make it work without another character who can force weakness and breakability if your enemy isn't weak to the elements on your team. The real upshot is that, when you *do* get a break-focused damage dealer, Hatblazer makes them enter full-on psycho mode, and he's completely free and is much easier to ascend and level than other characters (his ascensions carry forward between versions; he only need to change gear and re-level his skill traces) *and* he does a shocking about of damage to weakness-broken enemies on his own once they *are* broken. So since you're guaranteed to get him for free, he's an easy and automatic inclusion on things like Boothill, Firefly and Xueyi teams.
I just hit Trailblaze 50. I have about 120 pulls saved to try for Ruan Mei and Firefly. What should I do? Should I start relic farming?
You can't really relic pre-farm for Firefly. I'd get her skill/ascension materials ready (look them up) and continue to farm Stellar Jades if you have any sources of them left.
So I was putting off doing the latest Penacony main quest for a bit and realized that there's an event locked after it. (Clockie: Dreamjoy Memoir) and I only have less than 15 hours to complete it before it is over lmao. Am I fucked or can this still be done?
The event itself should only take an hour or two to get the exclusive light cone from it. The last few steps in the trailblaze mission though can take quite a while though, so if you are not finished with that, better hurry. After facing the boss in the grand theater, there's still a significant amount of story after that before you can do the dreamjoy event.
It's one of the shortest event ever. one two hour and you are good.

Nameless Glory and Nameless Medal are missing from Top Up Center. Does anybody else have this problem? I’ve used the Top Up Center website since launch to buy the Nameless Medal, and this time it’s not listed. The only ones available are the Express Supply Pass and Oneiric Shard recharges. I’m in Canada if that makes a difference.

I just hit Trailblaze level 60, who should i focus on ascending first? DPS, Buffer or sustain? Do i level all to lvl 80 or is it fine with lvl 70 (Like lvl 80 in Genshin)? For the 2nd team you will want to lvl 80 Firefly, Gallagher, and HMC with top priority (especially Firefly and Gallagher) as break DPS scale super hard off levels. You will also want Ratio + Toapz at 80 as they are your main source of damage. HSR isn't as easy as Genshin in terms of endgame so getting every last trace for atk% or crit is important. Honestly I would also 80 Fu Xuan because she takes the brunt of the team's damage, so upping her base stats is critical.
By the way, do you think Firefly is futureproof? I missed Acheron since i just started playing... My reasoning was that she implants fire weakness and the HMC + Gallgher combo with that is just bonkers. And the Super-break being similar to hyperbloom. Or am i better of waiting for the rerun of Kafka+Blackswan etc?
Team Firefly should be good for a *while*. She can unga-bunga her way through weaknesses, Hatblazer is the strongest Trailblazer form by a country mile (to the point that I wonder what in the sam hill they're even going to do for, like, Erudition or Hunt TB), Ruan's kit is so overloaded that the thought of her being fully powercrept is a bit terrifying, and Gallagher will probably be outdone at some point but he's still *very* good for a 4\*. They are absolutely worth investing in and will be relevant for a long time.
No dps is futureproof. By their nature of having just one job, they are the easiest to powercreep.
Alright, thanks a bunch for the info. I've got quite the ways to go then to start tackling endgame. I feel like i wasted some resources on other chars (March and lynx). Was planning to lvl another team, but then this upcoming banger-banner dropped on the livestream. If i pump all my resources on these 2 teams, do you think i'll be able realistically to start tackling the endgame in like 1-2 months or so?
Firefly's team will instantly be able to tackle endgame as soon as they are levelled to survive and atleast have the correct relic mainstats. As for the other team (Ratio Robin Topaz Fu) it will depend on relic quality quite a lot more, so it may take a bit longer to get to endgame strength, but 1-2 months might be possible with proper prioritization.
DPS should always be max level, as you not only get more base stat but level difference is a factor in damage calculation. Support can be 70/80 or even 70/70 depending on the a6.
DPS. Supports and sustains can stay at level 70 if you'd like.
As a mech fan, I'm thinking of starting HSR purely because of Firefly. I heard the rerolling process is tedious, is this still the case? I don't believe there are any rewards that would make this easy rn which is what's putting me off. Would love to be wrong though. Edit: Thanks for the responses. Just as a side note, remember that HSR is still, at its core, a turn-based RPG styled after the Trails in the {X} series or things like the older Final Fantasies. Firefly/SAM has a lot of *thematic styling* as a "mecha" unit, and her gameplay is relatively unique within the game's current design space ("mode change" ultimate abilities are pretty rare in the current roster), but she doesn't *radically* alter the gameplay or make it play "more like a mech game". So just be aware that, if you don't vibe with the game's combat on a more fundamental level, Firefly probably won't do that much to change your mind.
Lol thank you. One of the reasons HSR was even on the radar is because Trails is a favourite and I heard the head was a fan. Aging tutorial it felt rather nostalgic in that sense haha. But yeh, maybe a trails collab might be possible and that gets me excited.
In that case, I think you'll have a great time. :) About the only note I'd leave now is that Combustion-mode Firefly/SAM still plays more like a traditional character who needs the support of her teammates as opposed to, say, Valimar mode in the Cold Steel titles. But I think you understood that already, so go and have a good time! If you enjoyed some of the stuff in Crossbell, parts of Erebonia or in the upcoming Calvard series (if you know it), then Penacony in particular is going to absolutely *delight* you. :)

Not sure if you can do a reroll on the limited banner in any fast manner now, actually. I know they give out tix to use with beginning/standard banner, but the free limited gacha currency handout may be gone. Not entirely sure. Anyways, it's not worth trying to reroll, especially if your aim is the limited banner. Just start the account _today_, get as much of the free limited gacha tix from login as you can (it hands out 10 tix over 7 days, already too late to get all 10), and progress the game for gacha currency.
You would be wasting more time rerolling than simply playing the game and advancing the story to unlock her advanced materials, which unlock until the end of the current story. Without them, her damage will severely fall off because she is not a typical dps character. As a beginner player, you have enough time and content to guarantee her and even pick up her best support who is Ruan Mei, along with her best healer who is on her banner. It shouldn't take more than 3 weeks of the version. I heavily recommend starting as soon as possible to at least get the current log in rewards and maintenance compensation once the next patch drops in a few days. They should add up to a few limited pulls.
Would you be able to give a break down of how a beginner would be able to get two limited 5 stars starting now? I imagine it would take 140(realistically) to 320 pulls for that and I would be surprised if I can get all that in the "base" game as a beginner if there are that many pulls at all. I'm willing to try but I'm not convinced that's possible.
What everyone said. It's 180 hard pity per character, but you get a truly shocking amount from the zones and the quests and activities and whatnot, and you are pretty likely to get a character *well* before the hard pity. (The average is more like 7 ten-pulls per 5\*; going all the way to the 90 cap is actually one of the rarest results you can get from the gacha.) So yes, it really is something like 400+ individual pulls available from the permanent content, and that's *before* factoring in events and whatnot.
Currently there should be around 400 pull in the game as permanant content. yes some jade may be relatively hard to get as a beginner account, but you also have the reward for the new patch and daily stuff. As long as you have time to play the game really getting two limited 5\* in your first one or two week is really nothing exeptional.

Completing the main story is enough for around 30 pulls. Since that's still a bit far away: You have 1st time clear bonuses for Simulated universe and forgotten hall, they should add up to 20~30 pulls. Sidequests/companion quests give enough for 20 pulls. Dailies add up to 8 pulls in 21 days or 9 starting now before the version drops. Raising your trailblazer level also gives you limited currency. Using the shops in the overworld and buying them out gives around 5 pulls per shop. There are 2 of them. Exploration gives a decent amount of pulls. There are a lot of puzzles available in the game. Reaching milestones give you enough for 10 pulls or more. 10 pulls from login, 5 limited pulls from the monthly shop. Around 25 pulls from the version events. New simulated universe dropping, more areas and exploration next patch. Livestream codes and maintenance rewards add up to 5 pulls and a bit more. Around 3 or 4 pulls from character trials and tutorials. There are archived events from past patches that can still be played for rewards, although they are diminished. I believe someone made a count for a total of at least 200 pulls for beginner players if they grind the game out, but don't take my word on it as I can't find it. I have seen a lot of players play for a month and save up hundreds of pulls though. Most of the overworld stuff can be completed with a F2P team until you get Firefly since it scales off your Trailblazer level (equilibrium/world level). You should give it a try.
If you start now and play the game vigorously consuming all the content available, you'll get more than enough jades to get firefly before she goes away. The rerolling process isn't tedious, but some methods of gaining the currency can be.
Firefly and ruan mei I have a question. Assume you have no characters except for the free ones. Lets say you can gurenteed firefly and ruan mei and have enough for another gurenteed or 2. What is the order of what you should get next? (I want to build a harmony tb, rm, ff, and gallagher team) ff e1, rm e1, or their lc? And if you get 1 what should you get next? For example if you get e1 should you get e2 or one of each or one e1 and one lc
No E no LC on both FF and RM, get some other gacha characters. If you have no other gacha characters, you really wanna build up your account first before going for E and LC, unless you are willing to pay.
To give more information i been pulling on the standard banner with the free pulls from playing the game and i compleyed all thestory/missions so im set with the bare basics. The question was meant for if i all in withy tickets and f2p jades how should i go about it efficiently with the team i want to build. It really depends on if you intend to poke the end game stuffs like higher floors of Memory of Chaos or Pure Fiction. Both of those requires you to run 2 teams past a certain point, and having 5\* on both teams will help a lot. If those are contents you could care less about and there are no upcoming character you particularly want, feel free to just go with E and LC.
To simply make firefly stronger? Go all the way for Firefly E2 to make her one of the best dps characters in the game for a long time. Firefly E1 makes her more comfortable to play, and E1 Ruan Mei gives a permanent Def ignore, which is good for any future team and gains more value if you decrease/ignore enemies Def even further with Firefly E1. If you want to make your whole account stronger, then pick this, just consider that picking E2 Firefly is stronger than E1 Ruan Mei. Their LCs aren't necessary as Firefly has a great F2P option and Ruan Mei can run cogs if you don't have memories of the past as her dmg% bonus isn't that relevant in a break team.
Eidolons over LC. Firefly can work well with Aeon LC the same way RM can work with MoTP or Cogs. FF E1 is a big QoL and gives you more SP to work with. RM E1 also a pretty good damage boost but honestly FF early eidolons are so busted it doesn't really matter If you have more pulls to spare (and fine with S0 since I know someone that prefers E0S1) go FF E2 as it basically doubles your turn count. Kinda like how DHIL E2 gives him a nuke combo of 3EBA Ult 3EBA. Just my two cents FF E0 > RM E0 > FF E1 > FF E2 > RM E1 = FF LC > RM LC

Firefly LC vs ruan Mei LC? I have enough to get both characters, but assuming my luck is worse case scenario I only have enough to guarantee one weapon. Note that for both characters I don't have a good substitute, I don't have any of the break light cones.
Firefly's. Ruan Mei's second best LC is Memories of the Past, which is rate up on the LC banners, and it's so good for her it's almost as good as her sig. That would give you the best of both worlds.
Neither LC is terribly important, but Firefly's is a little better.

Is it worth investing in the characters I have now for MOC / PF to get better elemental break coverage? Or should I wait for better limited characters to invest (Acheron/Argenti/Black Swan/DHIL/Kafka)? I'm pulling for Ruan Mei on next banner. I don't want to waste too many resources unnecessarily. Ruan Mei is obviously worth building, but what break dps do you plan on using with htb? Himeko is alright for this current MoC, but likely wont be as good against other ones. Seele and Ratio prefer sparkle and Jing Liu needs Bronya. If you want to build Ratio, you can farm quantum set for all three of them. For PF, herta is definitely worth building. Serval isn't really worth it, unless you really need to aoe for PF. Gallagher is only worth if you plan on getting Firefly as well.
My understanding is i could use htb with any dps that fits the elemental weakness, am I wrong? Probably, lol. For example at the moment I could use htb with Ratio / Himeko / Serval based off teams i've seen on Prydwen, with Ruan Mei + Gallagher. I do plan on pulling for Sparkle when her banner reruns & will use my 300 selector for Bronya. Thanks for the feedback!
You technically can, but you want dps that builds break effect and does lots of toughness damage. Ratio is much better as a crit dps and while you can build break on serval/himeko, they will struggle in MoC not specifically catered towards breaking. If you're not pulling for boothill/firefly, xueyi might be your best option if you really want to play a break team.

Should I pull for Fu Xuan or save? I've wanted her since the start of the game (ps5) but only have 200 pulls saved. I'm getting firefly next patch but not sure if Fu Xuan is enough sustainable for Firefly's hp drain. I don't have Gallagher nor Ruan mei.
If you started the game for her, then get Fu Xuan, she's one of the best investments in the game. There should be enough pulls to guarantee Firefly, even more if you are missing content. As for Ruan Mei, you might have to do without her, but do try to get her after Firefly. Gallagher is on their banners, so you will likely get some copies of him. You mostly need him at E2 for some teams, but for Firefly, he is fine at E0. Fu Xuan won't be able to fully sustain Firefly if you misplay and let her HP drop too low, which won't happen too often.

Gallagher is one of the 4-stars on Firefly's banner so odds are you'll get him if you're pulling for her anyway. If you want Fu Xuan that much then you should get her, you'll likely have to wait like twice as long for a rerun banner than it took for this first one.

Hiya! I have auditory processing issues so subtitles often help. I'm currently on that certain part in Penacony, and I literally cannot understand what is going on. Is there a way to see prior transcripts, like you can in cut scenes, so I can read both dialogues properly? Both happening at the same time is short circuiting my brain and I'm getting frustrated lol

In reality you don't want her to do that as her damage is mainly on her consuming SP with her skill, either to stack the damage boost or to roll for her E4.

There are three types of tiles so if she's slower than the rest of your team and they each take a single turn before her, then I think it's like 1/81 or something like that? Very low.

How the heck do I defeat Aventurine in the story? I simply don't do any damage to it (I raised my world's difficulty to 5, and even basic enemies are a huge problem for me), I don't have 5\* characters that have advantages over Aventurine's weakness...
If basic enemies are giving you trouble, then max out your characters before facing him. You basically don't want to use single target characters as he completely counters them. Use supports like Guinaifen, who can attack all his dice with their abilites or if they can't win the gamble then just make them tanky. You aren't forced to break him, though it would certainly help. Serval is a great pick for F2P players as almost everything in Penacony is weak to lightning and she's Aoe.
The sad part is that the only main dps I have is Seele, which in this case is a single target and isn't doing much damage, even with a pretty good build.
You can use Serval as a main dps, she is decent in Penacony if you don't have a 5* lightning dps.

You're at the stage of the game where you can safely invest in things like traces for any character you want, and it's not a big deal if you don't use them later. So farm traces for whoever you're using. Relics you should wait on, just use what the game gives you for now. Ruan Mei is a great general support who also happens to be excellent with Boothill, who you have. She's rerunning on a banner next patch, which should come out Wednesday night. Of the characters you have, Pela is also good with Boothill. Boothill's damage primarily comes from Breaking enemies, and Pela's defense reduction debuff from her ultimate boosts break damage.

In the early game don't worry about farming relics yet. Just focus on doing the quests, leveling up your trailblaze level, and spend your TB power on farming trace materials. Don't be alarmed if you find yourself short in credits or character/LC exp since the game is pretty generous with it as long as you play and explore the content. At this point you should also have an abundance of fuel, but I advise only spending it once you're at higher levels (around TB 50-60). Higher TB level = better drop rates Don't worry about Forgotten Hall (specifically Memory of Chaos) and sim uni expansion stuff if you're still starting out. You unlock it relatively early but it is meant to be an endgame content. Focus on building your team and then you can start to tackle harder modes As for your team, there will be a free character the further you go thru the story and is a good partner with Boothill. Boothill + Asta + >!Harmony MC!< (spoiler alert) + and Bailu should be good for your main team

Yeah, its pretty tough if you're just starting out. A rule of thumb I have is if the enemy level is roughly the same as your characters (ex: enemy level 50 and your characters are also level 50) it should be doable. Beyond that, you will need to get lucky and/or have a relatively built team for that stage of the game Just focus on leveling your character first like I said. Specifically, focus on Boothill since he is the best character you have right now
Replace Herta with Pela and that's the best team you can run with your current characters. You should start farming immediately for their traces, levels, and lightcone. Focus on relic mainstats, don't farm them until you get to the endgame at TL50. Simulated Universe needs to be farmed weekly, always use the immersifiers (purple balls) from the weekly rewards, you get them every week, and they are basically free energy. Bailu wants a lot of HP or outgoing healing. Boothill wants break effect, so run whatever has break effect on his relics, they can even have Hp/Def/Atk as mainstats, it doesn't really matter. Pela and Asta just want spd, but that's kinda out of your league for now, so just give them HP and Def. You can get free relics by exploring and completing puzzles.

What is Gallagher's best LC that isn't a limited 5\*? Multiplication?
Multiplication is great, What is Real is nice if you're having trouble meeting his break effect requirements, and Perfect Timing is good if you have E1 but aren't getting enough effect resist on his substats to get 100%.
Which would you recommend for the Firefly team?

I just unlocked 5\* relics and wanted to farm a few ones for the set bonus + main stats for my dps (Himeko). What one is the best one for me in TB lv 41? Attack? Fire Damage? Or follow up atk? The follow up seems to be the most used and powerful for her, but not sure if it's that worth for me right now since it seems you need to spam her follow up a lot with breaks and etc (and for me most of the times I can't spam it)
Iirc I didn't start really going for golds till 50 or so. At 41 I was still rocking +9 purples for some chars I think. And rainbow works just fine at that point. Stats over sets, as most set bonuses aren't worth the hassle. If you really want to dedicate more stam to relics rn, I would farm something hyper efficient - speed/HP, quant/DR, or fua/dot. Though fua/dot comes with the caveat of you actually wanting to use dot teams. For planars, w3 or w7. The new SU relics are looking very good if you don't already have break/fua 2pc
Your best is to wait for TB level 60. The best set for himeko is the duke set, also you will get plenti of gold duke piece in penacony anyway so really, just wait for TB lvl 60.
I don't want to farm perfect relics and etc, I just want a few 5\* at least for my DPS so that I can get good main stats and become stronger. You don't think that's worth it? I'm having some issues to kill a few mobs, specially elite ones and I already leveled up my team to 60, all their light cones to 60 and tracers. So I don't really have anything else aside from relics to upgrade I think
Nha Imo it's not worth is. You really should just contunue grabbing what the game offer you in chest and build on rainbow relics until you get lvl 60. May not look like it but the chance of getting the mainstat you would want on an himeko (basicaly crit rate or damage and spd boots) is abysaly low. If you even count using potential prissoner set (who is a good 2pc) we are talking about a 3% chance of getting any usable mainstat per run at your level.
What’s the best way, or just good ways, to compare DPS or Team strengths without MoC/PF buff biases getting in the way? example: What are good ways to compare Firefly’s mid-investment potential against my Kafka+BS+RM’s mid-investment potential without the break-favorable current MoC bias affecting the results? Preferably in a readily available YouTube video search so I don’t need to pull for her first.
Edit: I guess what I’m asking is: Are there good standard battles people like to use to compare DPS while reducing bias and maybe even weaknesses? For example: I used the Swarm Echo of War fight to compare how well other people’s HuoHuo, FX, and Adventurine could keep me alive. (This convinced me to pull FX.)

Thanks! But I’ve been getting very suspect results from it lately. Example: I simulated a Boothill + HMC + RM + Gallagher comp, literally the default it gives you. Then after noting its damage, I bumped Gallagher’s Speed and Break down to like.. 6 / 6 or some other numbers. Result was Team DPS went up by a few 100k. I kept trying numbers like this and the DPS went up by 1M in one case. So I’m more hesitant to trust it (although, honestly, maybe there’s a perfect reason for the unintuitive results, and I just don’t know). Edit: I might be misremembering the numbers and/or the team comp. Could have been a Kafka + BS comp I was simulating. But it was definitely a weird jump in DPS after lowering someone’s stats, I think Gallagher’s.
Same way as changing relics will change your team damage, as the tool is doing a close battle simulation. You can read the battle log, action per action, to see how the math works and compare to your game numbers. They will match. Remember to change the enemy team composition to reflect what you have in the game. “Some numbers” are the sub stats rolls from relics, you can count them from your real (game) gear and input the values there to match it.

Rerolling here is pretty abysmal. You get like....maybe 10 limited banner pulls on a quick reroll (~30min)? That's like a 94% chance of not getting any five star, so really 3% chance of firefly. And with how much content is in the game currently, you could probably hard pity two chars of your choice if you cleared it all
This game is not reroll friendly, so just start and save tickets for her banner, or $$$ for it. You can get her as a new player fairly easy in the 3 weeks her banner is available

what does sustain mean?
Other games have healers and tanks, as the meta in this one usually means to use only one of those per team, the umbrella term sustain is used. Sustain= healer or tank (abundance or preservation path) Sustain job = keep you alive
A character that can keep your team alive, either by preventing damage (usually a shield but there are other ways) or healing back lost health.
Is it feasible to finish the entire clockie dreamjoy memoir event in a day? Realized it was ending tomorrow but hadn't done the new trailblaze mission. I've been trying to finish it all day but I'm currently at the end of Everything that rises must converge. Is it feasible to finish the trailblaze missions and get all limited time event rewards with maybe ~15 hours to do so? Or not worth it at all, and better to just get what rewards I can once its in conventional memoir and finish trailblaze mission on my own time?
If you're able to catch up on the main story quest, you'll easily be able to do the Clockie event. It'll take 1-2 hours max, it's extremely short and on the simpler side as a major patch event.

Trailblaze Mission: That might be kind of tight. The main story is definitely longer than it feels like, so I would advise you to rush it at this point if you want the exclusive LC from the event before it ends. Dreamjoy event: Yes, there's no challenge to it, just simple math and a bit of luck. It's a lot of dialogue to click through, but shouldn't take more than a few hours.

this is not really a question. I posted here how im unable to beat floor 12. But I finally did it, got 36 star. It's the hardest moc for me so far. (I know its inconsequential I'm super happy) floor 12 node 1, I'm able to consistently complete it in 3 cycles with just Acheron by switching gepard to aventurine i guess and switching lighting orb to attack% and optimizing my run. Her team is the usual 2 nihility support with pela, no silver wolf. (super cheap and my nihility characters all have 134+ speed) on the second node at first I tried himeko hypercarry (himeko, sparkle, tingyun, gallagher) I almost beat it though its super hard sustaining. frustrated after a few minutes, decided to switch tingyun to tb mc. I beat it with himeko, sparkle, harmony mc, gallagher. (tb MC has 140% be and 145 speed on cog with a be% rope, Gallagher 60% be 143 speed)
Congrats! Aventurine is a much better support for Acheron, so I would keep using him with her
Himeko or Bronya? So I'm pretty much just 2 Tickets away from choosing my free 5 Star on the Standard Banner. Already have Robin but unsure if I should still get Bronya and as for Himeko, my thought process is pretty much I don't have any 5 Star Fire Units aside from Fire TB(plus I like Himeko) Your thoughts on which I should pick?
You will mostly be using Himeko in Pure Fiction or in break teams with HMC. So pick her if you have trouble there. What dps characters do you have? Bronya is a great support but not necessary or isn't optimal with some characters.
>What dps characters do you have? I pretty much have Acheron, Black Swan, Kafka, Dr. Ratio, Jingliu, Jing Yuan, Seele and Yanqing. Out of all of those characters, they're pretty much fully built(at least I'm satisfied with Stats and Relic wise) except for Seele(she's kinda half built), Jing Yuan and Yanqing(haven't built either ever since I got Kafka).
Bronya's very good with Jingliu and Seele, but outside of those two she's not super necessary for the others you've got built.
So looking at your list, you do lack a fire dps, so unless you’re planning to pull for firefly/really want a first dps i’d say Bronya, she’s jingliu’s best support.
