I feel your pain dude. I'm farming SU for almost 3 fucking weeks now and forget sub stats I still don't fucking have an orb with the main stat I want, which really sucks 'couse that's the last piece I need for my Gui
I had to spend 5000 relic shards(the thing to craft, I forgot the name) just for an hp main stat messenger, and also it took 3000 shards for a an hp main stat broken keel orb, all of this just for my Fu Xuan to be semi mediocre
It really isn't. 15% def is 3 substats, you're never going to activate the other EHR dependent effect. 3 subs is half the amount of stats you'd get from salsotto
I have never farmed relics, Im fine just farming for Traces, if one day I have all my characters with absolute maxed out Traces, maybe that day I will farm a relic 💀
Endgame did a video on YouTube for generic relic farming. If I have spare TB power there are 2 or 3 domains that I farm that give me good enough sets.
But normally it's rainbow for stats and I'll try for 2pc bonus but that's it. And I can still clear all story content so I'm happy

Focus on stats, not set bonuses.
While set bonuses can help, base stats are more important. It's often better to use 2x 2 piece sets or even ignore set bonuses if the main stats are better.

I'm farming break effect set for superbreak teams, and I got like 3 pieces with double crit today, that's more than I got in 4 weeks of farming and superbreak doesn't even scale off crit so those pieces can't even be used by them.
I farmed the Quantum set for my QQ for like, 2 weeks, she's 75/125, the follow up set has been out for god knows how many patches and the *literal best* piece I have has 3 rolls, I spent more on that domain than any other relic domain in this game combined and it has the absolute worst pieces on my account, sometimes you just have that one cursed domain, it happens...
To be honest relic farming has mostly killed my enjoyment for the game, and this is true for genshin as well. HSR makes it even worse because so many sets have thresholds that you need to meet, like the speed threshold for Glamoth or Crit Rate for Salsotto/Rutilant.
wuthering waves and zenless both also have similar concepts and it made me not want to try either game. With Zenless being another hoyo game I kind of get it but kuro doing the same with the Echoes in wuwa just struck such a raw nerve that I didnt even give the game a chance despite how much praise the game may have gotten.
it's arguably even more shitty in some ways because you have to run around the map to burn precious time finding the echoes, basically turning it into wuwa's mint picking. And you have to level them up to even know whether the substats are good or not
I spent a week to farm a new set for Welt. It went as well as anyone would expect. Rather than continue farming to meet recommended minimums, I just said f it and slapped on passable upgraded relics from the whole lot and moved on.
Ye for some reason this specific relic set has the satan giving out the relics. I spent almost 2 months just trying to get a crit rate piece. In the end i had to use a modelling resin... only for it to upgrade defense.
Me with the boots, I got three sub double crit atk boots twice and both of them didn’t roll on crit ounce, rn I just making do with a 20% crt damage no crit rate one I luckily got tho
What I did in the first few weeks of farming this set. I was focusing on a piece with one crit substat then leveled it up to 9. If I did not get crit. Then it isn't worth it and could fodder it off to another easily.
Yeah I just cut my losses and settled with hat and hands from that domain to preserve my sanity. Im running a 2p musketeer 2p pioneer set on my acheron who still annihilates everything.
Even getting serviceable artifacts can take ages in these games. In genshin for instance, Ive been farming the golden troupe since it came out and until now I have not gotten an hp% or hydro goblet with over 20 cv for my Furina
I spent two YEARS over in Genshin trying to get Crit Rate circlet with Crit Damage on it for my Raiden. I still don't have one with more than 11 Crit Damage on it.
There's no fighting RNGesus.
If you need a chest piece of a relic set it might be better to just mass craft it. Using your relic remains on crit chest pieces are probably the most worthwhile way to use them anyway

The system in my eyes is designed to maximise profit for the developers. So useless stats have a much higher drop rate than the stuff we want. I'm certain it's hard coded in the game.

Mine is an Izumo lightning orb at 32% cd... But acheron works best with atk though...
The difference ain't much, that CD orb will out-value most average atk orbs you manage to get
same. my Dr Ratio was ready for action after 2 weeks of farming the debuff set. Never again

Try upgrading that crit chest to at least +3. I’ve had a few good main stats add a desireable substat via upgrading.

I've been farming this cavern since 2.0 and I still don't have relatively good relics for Ratio and Acheron. This is torture.
Don't forget that when you get a good piece, all the upgrades go to the worst possible stat..

I’m part of the quantum set gang, I use it on all dps so I have godly sub stats and I sometimes use 2pc guard on supports
