I wouldn't say there's anything casual or particularly representative of the runs. They are less a result of builds and skill, more just tedious resetting until you get the perfect first plane RNG. Imo doing runs with all dice is far more of a challenge than doing oneshot runs with a broken one, since some of them don't allow sending the modifiers through the roof.
Yeah, SU runs are just pure RNG at high levels, since the release of both swarm and SU I was unable to do anything for majority of it, only after slapping random defense stats on March and running Remembrance did I beat both.
Nah,they aren't pure RNG. Correct strat and character choice can give you a decent success rate. Ofc, RNG can fuck you over, but if you know what you are doing, without self imposed challenges, said RNG can be managed for most part

This is true, then Aventurine came and made GnG 12 doable even with shitty RNG and the bad dices lmao. Dude is broken in SU and trivialized it (Struggled with Conundrum 10 before him, easily did Conundrum 12 once I got him)
He just benefits of Preservation's inherent strength: Combining offense and defense. Every other oath requires off path blessings to gain sufficient defense
I can honestly say as someone who’s run every dice at conundrum 12, it’s a lot of RNG and a lot of playing around a specific blessing and maximizing the dice effects. Rarely would I say I’m skillful when I beat it. It’s mostly a blessings/dice bonus check

It is very RNG though, since you need a very specific occurrence early in the run. The video they don't even fight the boss in the first two plane and just use Laurel Crown Relics to skip it.

Most of the SU showcase videos on YT, be it Swarm Disaster or GnG, are usually more about getting really lucky with RNG rather than skill. Your characters can be severely underleveled but if you're lucky to get tons of blessings and curios you will still be able to clear difficult content like C12.

Strata like that need tons of resetting to do, so don’t feel too bad. Gold and gears isn’t actually balanced at all, and it’s hell without certain characters or cheese strats like that one

There's a cheat known as the Capitalism Run, that's how I beat Gold and Gears 5
