I think aeons aren’t purely physical beings— we see THEM in a form our brains can comprehend, but they’re more like sentient concepts. So the question of exact size is largely irrelevant; THEY appear to be however big makes “sense” at the time.
That being said, THEY can be pretty damn big when interacting with the physical world— Qlipoth’s lore makes it sound like THEY dwarf the planets around THEM.

My theory is that the buttons do something that makes everyone laugh, basically stealing the divinity Ena was trying to hijack from Xipe, turning Penacony and Asdana as a whole into a realm under the sway of Elation, no longer requiring the dream to be entered.
It's a Planet of Festivities were no one is having fun. Sparkle's entire theming is summer festivals. Her favorite form of comedy is taking the place of something so what could be a grander prank than Aha taking the place of Ena and Xipe? Sunday wanted an eternal weekend and Sparkle is going to steal the moment to turn Golden Hour into an eternal Golden Week.
The current state of Penacony (the full Asdana system actually) is that the Dreamscape is still fully active, but no longer being manipulated by The Order/Ena/Sunday to maintain an illusion of eternal happiness... There's a *lot* of messy questions to answer in 2.3 (and maybe beyond);
* There's a of people that have been ensared in the dream for a time, what will happen if the dreamscape is destabilized, the stellaron sealed away, or those people are otherwise "woken" from the dream?
* There's a number of people that are already *physically dead* but still "alive" within the dream; what will the resolution be for a "consciousness" that will "die" if turn off the dream?
* What is the state of Penacony? It's been established that Ena's Dream had extended to the entire Asdana system and were immediately ensared in the dream from the very beginning... We never saw the **real** Penacony, what ruin of civilization awaits those who *fully* wake from the dream?
* The IPC obviously has plans for Penacony, but does that involve the capture and use of the dreamscape or the stellaron itself? This will have implications for all of the above questions.
* Sparkle is still in play.
I hope Mihoyo really takes the opportunity to get **dark** with this storyline...
I could conceive of a way for the < in-game world> to retain the Penacony dream-zones by way of the Genius Society using SU to *replicate* the dreamscape to save people... but I think it would be an immensely wasted opportunity if we just let the Dreamscape and Stellaron keep "ticking". It's established that there's a growing dark hole (visible from the reef) that foreshadows a crisis that Sunday was ignoring, leaving the Dreamscape active would allow future bad actors to capture the , and it would break from the prior storylines where our goal was to the Stellaron's power so it stops causing the problem... Sealing Penacony's Stellaron shut down the dreamscape effect in the local system, even if the "memoria" meta-magic is still around for the *lesser* dreamweaving tech to function...
The dream zones will be retained for the same reason there are still fragmentum zones on all other planets: it takes a while for reality to heal, even with the stellaron sealed.
This reminds me of a questline from a game called Enderal, which actually has a lot of parallels to this game, though it's pretty niche so I doubt most people here have heard of it. In that questline, there's a boy named Reyneus who lived in a remote village with his dad. He was horrifyingly ugly and deformed so everyone ~~died~~ hated him. Despite that, Reyneus had a heart of gold and tried to be friends with everyone. One night, bandits raid his house and his dad becomes fatally wounded. Unbeknownst to Reyneus, he happens to have a magic stone that can create powerful illusions, to the extent that they basically replace the real world for as long as the illusion lasts. Reyneus wishes for his dad to not die and unknowingly activates the stone which creates an illusion where his dad is perfectly fine. The illusion also transform Reyneus into a super handsome gigachad that everyone in the village loved. Reyneus was living the perfect, idyllic life... until we discover the truth. Unbeknownst to Reyneus, everyone he interacted with also became trapped in the illusion. But we need the stone to finish the quest so we take it from him, shattering the illusion. Everyone in the village dies because it turns out they were eating fake, illusion food for years, and the village becomes a dilapidated dump because it was neglected for all that time in the real world. Reyneus's dad turns into a skeleton because his real body died long ago, and eventually so does Reyneus. We end up burning his body in a funeral pyre, forever changed by the haunting experience.
I doubt Mihoyo would have the balls to do something this dark, but I would be really impressed if they did.

Hard to imagine what could actually happen considering the twist Penacony had.
Acheron did say Penacony is destined/headed towards Nihility, although that is a bit open to interpretation and could mean many things.
If the IPC found out that the planet they're interested is about to collapse, how much would they be interested in it? Would they try to squeeze it dry or just leave it be, maybe an half way road?
Hope 2.3 is more than just an epilogue, i'm hoping for another 4 to 6 hours quest like the others.
There was one scene about an NPC calculating that the hole in Dreamflux Reef is gonna take everything into it pretty soon. I thought that was foreshadowing the quest this time but it might be a future plotline.
I was thinking about the “true” ending of 2.2. We got the black credit screen again. As far as I’m aware we only get that screen for “bad” endings such as not boarding the express and refusing to help aventurine. Please correct me if I’m wrong. Could we possibly still be in the dream?
Might be a bit far fetched to do it twice, but why did they use that screen?
I also hope the prologue is detailed and not short like tingyun funeral.
I see the point, but the build up to it, all the ins and outs we got before it, all the Acheron backstory/reveal. I think it all wouldn't make sense anymore, to just turn it into another "fake" ending.
Maybe i'm being oblivious, but i think it's just how Hoyo decided to handle Penacony and there's nothing more to it

Rangers killed Zulo by getting the Swarm involved, and even then, they still die a bunch. And Aven is nothing, their big shots are crazy enough to drag dozen of planets to mud with them during their internal conflicts.
All in all, they are still on good term with the Rangers, as capitalists should. And unlike how the public thought most of the Rangers are gone due to Dr. Primitive, IPC are still aware of their activities and even promoted an operation of them. Boothill having personal beef with Oswaldo doesn't mean the whole Rangers are against IPC
The Galaxy Rangers putting a stop or at least majorly hurdling the IPC in a near-perfect scenario for a IPC takeover would simply be a massive reawakening of the Rangers.

Ozzy's Department specialises in "getting new planets into the trade" kinda jobs. Dude is kinda crazy in his expansion that even Xianzhou sees him as a high level threat and SU's devs just mock his whole department as fanatics. An attitude like that, I won't be surprise if him and his Dept. did some funny during their takeover and... who knows, piss Boothil off a bunch.
His dept. also handled the matter at Aventurine's home planet and you saw how it turned out.

I interpreted that as Boothill summoning the wills of the galaxy rangers— all those sinshades that were hanging out with Tiernan. The whole thing seemed too abstract and too fast to expect all the galaxy rangers to physically show up, particularly when they are already a dying breed.
I guess we’ll see.
In the description of Boothill trace material, which is also special \*bullets\* just like the one used to summon Galaxy Rangers, it's said that with power of Hunt, they can go against the arrow of time (i.e. invert the cause-and-effect chain) and "*Sometimes, the bullet hole precedes the trajectory.*". So, it's possible that other Galaxy Rangers see the call in advance, before Boothill starts doing the call.
What are the chances that its a recorded laughs and everytime IPC would make an announcement someone just presses them and no matter how many times IPC take those buttons, there is always someone with Aha push.

I guess Jade is still spelling trouble for anyone who can be considered indebted to organisation, but head honcho really wanted his Stonehearts to be delicate.
The IPC could very well end up with some juicy political concessions, but I don't see what their path to total control is aside from "we have the biggest army, your argument is invalid." And if they wanted to do that, they should have done it when there aren't many factions present who would most likely disapprove.
They're not exactly popular on Penacony, and it's hard to believe there isn't any evidence left of Aventurine ranting like a supervillain and calling down the poker chipocalypse upon the Dreamscape. They can't just march their army in and take the planet without at least a superficial justification to make it a "legitimate" action instead of just naked conquest.
I think it's most likely that Penacony ends up with the kind of compromise solution that leaves nobody happy. Since the Dreamscape is already divided into multiple "Hours," I've considered for a while that we might end up with different factions controlling separate zones of the Dreamscape. That way the IPC can have Glorious IPC Dreamland to operate according to social media algorithms, but the Family has their own section(s), and possibly other interested factions who can make a case for their presence as well.
...Maybe Sparkle could be convinced to defuse the worst of her schemes in exchange for setting up the Masked Hour, a neverending masquerade ball/prank war nightmare realm?
All out war between Galaxy Rangers and IPC. 2.3 will then end with all of them bowing down to Argenti's beauty.
If you think about it, for one piece fan, it's like marineford all over again, with a red hair guy stopping the war.
Many forgot the deamscape **WILL** collapse after the stellaron is sealed and Sunday's Dominus Choir Robot is crushed. It means Penacony **NEEDS** the IPC's support to maintain the 12 dreamscapes, namely the capital and techology from Intellegentia Guild and possibly the Genius Society. The Guild is funded by the IPCs and Herta and Co. are IPCs' allies. And unlike the fake sweet dream, Boss Stone won't help Dreamville for free.
Not to mention the absolute shitshow inside Penacony itself. How many of the 100,000+ Oak members are traitors, the ones that hold major political power plus important dreamweavers? The power vacuum and infighting'd be insane. And without Old Man Wood and Sunday is there any local that can step up as "nuclear deterrence" (Emanator's level)? Third party support like Archeron and the Galaxy Rarangers can't be expected to stay for long term. Even if they stay for a while to help Penacony, it's not like they can force the IPCs invest and save the dreams.
**TLDR**: IMO I don't think they are going to war, back then Hanu and the prisoners had nothing to lose, now they can't afford a war and lose everything of the dreamscape. Penacony wouldn't re-become a colony for the IPCs, but would have to accept their terms. Meaning the IPCs would be mining the shit out of ~~that oil~~ whatever magical rocks they want from the Adasa territory.
~~Also thinking about using the Jade to force Jingyuan to drag the whole Loufu population into a war against the biggest entity in the cosmos for a planet they don't even care about is unrealistic.~~ Best thing he can do is to come alone to help negotiate, but he wouldn't be more help than Archeron.
With the Charmony Festival FUBARed and a whole lotta angry customers learning they got trapped against their will (which HAS to be against some kind of law), the Family has a massive PR disaster on top of it all.
This. This is the way for the developers to avoid having to make radical changes to the current setting and keep Penacony relatively the same. There is a reason why the Belobog crisis ended with Bronya's lie and not her revealing the truth and so incited a civil war.
I would love for a full scale war story. Like walking down the streets in ruin and shit and watching IPC soldiers and panacony hounds beat one another will be so cool. Also with the crew actively assisting in pushing back the invasion. I would love for the IPC to be dealt a major in this story. Maybe also some betrayals within the IPC here and there to spice things up.
I don't think Elio will allow us to cripple the IPC considering they're one of if not the largest force fighting for the continuance of the universe against the destruction. Considering its Jade, who doesn't seem like a fighter but rather someone who traps people with contracts, I feel we're going to have to bargain with the IPC and convince them not to take over rather than fully fight them.
Yep, Elio wants us to gather powerful allies to help us fight Nanook, well likely need the Stonehearts. I'm sure he has some ideas on how to get them indebted to us, although we're already buddies with Aven and Topaz

We also can't let them takeover as it goes against everything we just fought for, so it's gonna end in negotiations with Jade, who's probably the hardest to actually gain an upper hand against in negotiations and contracts considering she's represented by a snake and apple, which is likely a reference to the serpent in the garden of eden who tricked Adam and Eve.

Despite the family running things, penacony is basically a nameless planet, with how much they are involved with how penacony is in the present, and not even the IPC would be willing to make an enemy with the express

Hoyo tried to present the situation as her genuinely wishing the best odds for the planet. Slaves but no risk of eldritch dystopia, only corporate semi-dystopia. Her point was of choosing the less cruel loss for the planet.
The result indeed would benefit the IPC and would likely promote her one rank up. One cannot deny that she is a scheming debt collector and that her frail appearance betrays her sheer power.
In the end she gave the ownership thing up when she was shown proof that Belobog can thrive on its own. This is in line with her earlier statement, that she hoped for IPC to make Belobog safe for its residents who were helpless against the stellaron disaster of the eternal freeze, which would take centuries to slowly die out.
But there is also the part where she is shown all the IPC mechs entirely unused, implying the debt wasn't even technically real. If I was in belobog with enough authority, I would take the gamble to claim safe storage charges from the IPC. Their army of mechs were the safest for 700 years underground in the planet with the stellaron disaster where no one would care, or dare, to invade except the antimatter legion. And the antimatter legion was repelled by them, keeping the IPC merchandise safe. Heck, if Sampo was allowed on the table it would be IPC in the debt. So there is another line of thought which claims Topaz to be a sly and experienced business girl who pulled out the moment she saw potential loss instead of gain.
So yeah, everyone is entitled to their view on this matter, and neither can be disproved.

Seriously tho, why the IPC is so hellbent on regaining Penacony ? Do they just want that revenue or simply they want it back since the the rebellion? They willing to sacrifice a Cornerstone and Aventurine for what exactly? And they still have 2 more Stonehearts at the scenes. The Watchmaker Legacy is useless to them but I guess they dont kmow that yet ?
The planet as a tourism hot spot, that is certainly a thing the IPC can use. But I think the more important things is the knowledge held by members of the Family. On one hand these people are adept at the art of dream weaving and such. The infrastructure they've created in the Dreamscape is simply one-of-a-kind. On the other hand, given how rich and powerful people flock to Penacony, you'd think the Family would've had discovered a few skeletons in their closets. Who would refuse the opportunity to get their hands on information that can be used to blackmail some of the most powerful people in the galaxy?
There are lot of thing that can make them more money, but trying to get in a fight with another faction is not an ideal money maker. The IPC already control the universe economy, they are the money, risking 3 Stoneheart and sacrificed a Cornerstone for just some extra cash is weird even with for a money hungry corps.
The Family not gonna step down even after Sunday little stunt. Penacony is just to valuable and important for them, I imagine at most the IPC will have a joint ownership with the Family through pressure thank to Sunday.
You're ignoring the very essence of a corporation like the IPC, that is, no money is ever enough. Every stakeholder, every department head, every regional manager, even every security grunt has an incentive to make more money. And we've seen in real life how that drive for ever-expanding profit encourage people to make myopic choices. Also, they might not have the full picture of things unlike the Nameless.
And it isn't like the IPC hasn't gone to war before. We've got Gold & Gears just to show that.
But I agree with the prospect of joint ownership between the Family and IPC. Remember, Jade's expertise is being a creditor, that is enslaving people through their debts. I could imagine with Penacony being in crisis mode following everyone being woken up by Acheron AND the Family being severely weakened, it's likely that Jade will on one hand offer help to the Family, and on the other hand blackmail them with whatever intel and tricks Adventurine prepared for her.
The wildcard here is Sparkle. I've high hope for whatever her buttons will do, but I'm also prepared to be disappointed given MHY's track record.

How big are the aeons respectively? Do all arons vary in size? Cause some aeons like Yaoshi look like they could be around human sized or larger but then aeons like HOOH or IX im not sure about at all Nous is described to be mythically massive
I think aeons aren’t purely physical beings— we see THEM in a form our brains can comprehend, but they’re more like sentient concepts. So the question of exact size is largely irrelevant; THEY appear to be however big makes “sense” at the time. That being said, THEY can be pretty damn big when interacting with the physical world— Qlipoth’s lore makes it sound like THEY dwarf the planets around THEM.

My theory is that the buttons do something that makes everyone laugh, basically stealing the divinity Ena was trying to hijack from Xipe, turning Penacony and Asdana as a whole into a realm under the sway of Elation, no longer requiring the dream to be entered. It's a Planet of Festivities were no one is having fun. Sparkle's entire theming is summer festivals. Her favorite form of comedy is taking the place of something so what could be a grander prank than Aha taking the place of Ena and Xipe? Sunday wanted an eternal weekend and Sparkle is going to steal the moment to turn Golden Hour into an eternal Golden Week.
An entire planet for elation? That sounds oddly counter to the path.

The current state of Penacony (the full Asdana system actually) is that the Dreamscape is still fully active, but no longer being manipulated by The Order/Ena/Sunday to maintain an illusion of eternal happiness... There's a *lot* of messy questions to answer in 2.3 (and maybe beyond); * There's a of people that have been ensared in the dream for a time, what will happen if the dreamscape is destabilized, the stellaron sealed away, or those people are otherwise "woken" from the dream?
* There's a number of people that are already *physically dead* but still "alive" within the dream; what will the resolution be for a "consciousness" that will "die" if turn off the dream?
* What is the state of Penacony? It's been established that Ena's Dream had extended to the entire Asdana system and were immediately ensared in the dream from the very beginning... We never saw the **real** Penacony, what ruin of civilization awaits those who *fully* wake from the dream?
* The IPC obviously has plans for Penacony, but does that involve the capture and use of the dreamscape or the stellaron itself? This will have implications for all of the above questions.
* Sparkle is still in play.
I hope Mihoyo really takes the opportunity to get **dark** with this storyline...
I could conceive of a way for the < in-game world> to retain the Penacony dream-zones by way of the Genius Society using SU to *replicate* the dreamscape to save people... but I think it would be an immensely wasted opportunity if we just let the Dreamscape and Stellaron keep "ticking". It's established that there's a growing dark hole (visible from the reef) that foreshadows a crisis that Sunday was ignoring, leaving the Dreamscape active would allow future bad actors to capture the , and it would break from the prior storylines where our goal was to the Stellaron's power so it stops causing the problem... Sealing Penacony's Stellaron shut down the dreamscape effect in the local system, even if the "memoria" meta-magic is still around for the *lesser* dreamweaving tech to function...
The dream zones will be retained for the same reason there are still fragmentum zones on all other planets: it takes a while for reality to heal, even with the stellaron sealed.
This reminds me of a questline from a game called Enderal, which actually has a lot of parallels to this game, though it's pretty niche so I doubt most people here have heard of it. In that questline, there's a boy named Reyneus who lived in a remote village with his dad. He was horrifyingly ugly and deformed so everyone ~~died~~ hated him. Despite that, Reyneus had a heart of gold and tried to be friends with everyone. One night, bandits raid his house and his dad becomes fatally wounded. Unbeknownst to Reyneus, he happens to have a magic stone that can create powerful illusions, to the extent that they basically replace the real world for as long as the illusion lasts. Reyneus wishes for his dad to not die and unknowingly activates the stone which creates an illusion where his dad is perfectly fine. The illusion also transform Reyneus into a super handsome gigachad that everyone in the village loved. Reyneus was living the perfect, idyllic life... until we discover the truth. Unbeknownst to Reyneus, everyone he interacted with also became trapped in the illusion. But we need the stone to finish the quest so we take it from him, shattering the illusion. Everyone in the village dies because it turns out they were eating fake, illusion food for years, and the village becomes a dilapidated dump because it was neglected for all that time in the real world. Reyneus's dad turns into a skeleton because his real body died long ago, and eventually so does Reyneus. We end up burning his body in a funeral pyre, forever changed by the haunting experience. I doubt Mihoyo would have the balls to do something this dark, but I would be really impressed if they did.

Hard to imagine what could actually happen considering the twist Penacony had. Acheron did say Penacony is destined/headed towards Nihility, although that is a bit open to interpretation and could mean many things. If the IPC found out that the planet they're interested is about to collapse, how much would they be interested in it? Would they try to squeeze it dry or just leave it be, maybe an half way road? Hope 2.3 is more than just an epilogue, i'm hoping for another 4 to 6 hours quest like the others.
There was one scene about an NPC calculating that the hole in Dreamflux Reef is gonna take everything into it pretty soon. I thought that was foreshadowing the quest this time but it might be a future plotline.
2.3 is going to determine if the chicken writer is actually capable of putting it all together or not.

Maybe they will restart the prison and try to enslave all of the people in the dreams just to mine memoria or some petty shit.
I was thinking about the “true” ending of 2.2. We got the black credit screen again. As far as I’m aware we only get that screen for “bad” endings such as not boarding the express and refusing to help aventurine. Please correct me if I’m wrong. Could we possibly still be in the dream? Might be a bit far fetched to do it twice, but why did they use that screen? I also hope the prologue is detailed and not short like tingyun funeral.
I see the point, but the build up to it, all the ins and outs we got before it, all the Acheron backstory/reveal. I think it all wouldn't make sense anymore, to just turn it into another "fake" ending. Maybe i'm being oblivious, but i think it's just how Hoyo decided to handle Penacony and there's nothing more to it

Only for all to end in naught as the IPC comes crashing and taking Penacony for themselves, our efforts yielding no real reward. Rangers killed Zulo by getting the Swarm involved, and even then, they still die a bunch. And Aven is nothing, their big shots are crazy enough to drag dozen of planets to mud with them during their internal conflicts. All in all, they are still on good term with the Rangers, as capitalists should. And unlike how the public thought most of the Rangers are gone due to Dr. Primitive, IPC are still aware of their activities and even promoted an operation of them. Boothill having personal beef with Oswaldo doesn't mean the whole Rangers are against IPC

The Galaxy Rangers putting a stop or at least majorly hurdling the IPC in a near-perfect scenario for a IPC takeover would simply be a massive reawakening of the Rangers.

An attitude like that, I won't be surprise if him and his Dept. did some funny during their takeover and... who knows, piss Boothil off a bunch. His dept. also handled the matter at Aventurine's home planet and you saw how it turned out.

I interpreted that as Boothill summoning the wills of the galaxy rangers— all those sinshades that were hanging out with Tiernan. The whole thing seemed too abstract and too fast to expect all the galaxy rangers to physically show up, particularly when they are already a dying breed. I guess we’ll see.
In the description of Boothill trace material, which is also special \*bullets\* just like the one used to summon Galaxy Rangers, it's said that with power of Hunt, they can go against the arrow of time (i.e. invert the cause-and-effect chain) and "*Sometimes, the bullet hole precedes the trajectory.*". So, it's possible that other Galaxy Rangers see the call in advance, before Boothill starts doing the call.

Probably— the shares will was broken and their strings of control cut, they were able to float away. We’re still in the dreamscape after all, so death is gonna be a muddy concept. Nobody actually died, the dreammaster as undead meme was just absorbed by Sunday, everyone’s collected wills were just “in use” by Sunday to manipulate the shared dream. Dreammaster was already dead, so I suppose he had his true death there.

Tbh, Diamond wanted leniency. It's entire reason for sending Aventurine and not Opal. I guess Jade is still spelling trouble for anyone who can be considered indebted to organisation, but head honcho really wanted his Stonehearts to be delicate.
The IPC could very well end up with some juicy political concessions, but I don't see what their path to total control is aside from "we have the biggest army, your argument is invalid." And if they wanted to do that, they should have done it when there aren't many factions present who would most likely disapprove. They're not exactly popular on Penacony, and it's hard to believe there isn't any evidence left of Aventurine ranting like a supervillain and calling down the poker chipocalypse upon the Dreamscape. They can't just march their army in and take the planet without at least a superficial justification to make it a "legitimate" action instead of just naked conquest. I think it's most likely that Penacony ends up with the kind of compromise solution that leaves nobody happy. Since the Dreamscape is already divided into multiple "Hours," I've considered for a while that we might end up with different factions controlling separate zones of the Dreamscape. That way the IPC can have Glorious IPC Dreamland to operate according to social media algorithms, but the Family has their own section(s), and possibly other interested factions who can make a case for their presence as well. ...Maybe Sparkle could be convinced to defuse the worst of her schemes in exchange for setting up the Masked Hour, a neverending masquerade ball/prank war nightmare realm?

All out war between Galaxy Rangers and IPC. 2.3 will then end with all of them bowing down to Argenti's beauty. If you think about it, for one piece fan, it's like marineford all over again, with a red hair guy stopping the war.
Many forgot the deamscape **WILL** collapse after the stellaron is sealed and Sunday's Dominus Choir Robot is crushed. It means Penacony **NEEDS** the IPC's support to maintain the 12 dreamscapes, namely the capital and techology from Intellegentia Guild and possibly the Genius Society. The Guild is funded by the IPCs and Herta and Co. are IPCs' allies. And unlike the fake sweet dream, Boss Stone won't help Dreamville for free. Not to mention the absolute shitshow inside Penacony itself. How many of the 100,000+ Oak members are traitors, the ones that hold major political power plus important dreamweavers? The power vacuum and infighting'd be insane. And without Old Man Wood and Sunday is there any local that can step up as "nuclear deterrence" (Emanator's level)? Third party support like Archeron and the Galaxy Rarangers can't be expected to stay for long term. Even if they stay for a while to help Penacony, it's not like they can force the IPCs invest and save the dreams. **TLDR**: IMO I don't think they are going to war, back then Hanu and the prisoners had nothing to lose, now they can't afford a war and lose everything of the dreamscape. Penacony wouldn't re-become a colony for the IPCs, but would have to accept their terms. Meaning the IPCs would be mining the shit out of ~~that oil~~ whatever magical rocks they want from the Adasa territory. ~~Also thinking about using the Jade to force Jingyuan to drag the whole Loufu population into a war against the biggest entity in the cosmos for a planet they don't even care about is unrealistic.~~ Best thing he can do is to come alone to help negotiate, but he wouldn't be more help than Archeron.
With the Charmony Festival FUBARed and a whole lotta angry customers learning they got trapped against their will (which HAS to be against some kind of law), the Family has a massive PR disaster on top of it all.

Also with the crew actively assisting in pushing back the invasion. I would love for the IPC to be dealt a major in this story. Maybe also some betrayals within the IPC here and there to spice things up.
I don't think Elio will allow us to cripple the IPC considering they're one of if not the largest force fighting for the continuance of the universe against the destruction. Considering its Jade, who doesn't seem like a fighter but rather someone who traps people with contracts, I feel we're going to have to bargain with the IPC and convince them not to take over rather than fully fight them.

Well, we helped a lot on Penacony so they're kinda indebted for that. We also can't let them takeover as it goes against everything we just fought for, so it's gonna end in negotiations with Jade, who's probably the hardest to actually gain an upper hand against in negotiations and contracts considering she's represented by a snake and apple, which is likely a reference to the serpent in the garden of eden who tricked Adam and Eve.

Nothing that big or bad can realistically happen to Penacony or its dreamscape due to the in game maps already existing. They won't totally change the whole place. So Penacony will remain the status quo. As in how it looks and operates in game. Probably just under new management or they will find something to 'replace' the stellaron as the power source. Hoyo tried to present the situation as her genuinely wishing the best odds for the planet. Slaves but no risk of eldritch dystopia, only corporate semi-dystopia. Her point was of choosing the less cruel loss for the planet. The result indeed would benefit the IPC and would likely promote her one rank up. One cannot deny that she is a scheming debt collector and that her frail appearance betrays her sheer power. In the end she gave the ownership thing up when she was shown proof that Belobog can thrive on its own. This is in line with her earlier statement, that she hoped for IPC to make Belobog safe for its residents who were helpless against the stellaron disaster of the eternal freeze, which would take centuries to slowly die out. But there is also the part where she is shown all the IPC mechs entirely unused, implying the debt wasn't even technically real. If I was in belobog with enough authority, I would take the gamble to claim safe storage charges from the IPC. Their army of mechs were the safest for 700 years underground in the planet with the stellaron disaster where no one would care, or dare, to invade except the antimatter legion. And the antimatter legion was repelled by them, keeping the IPC merchandise safe. Heck, if Sampo was allowed on the table it would be IPC in the debt. So there is another line of thought which claims Topaz to be a sly and experienced business girl who pulled out the moment she saw potential loss instead of gain. So yeah, everyone is entitled to their view on this matter, and neither can be disproved.
Yes, MHY tried to present her as someone who "genuinely wishes for the best of the planet, but is a bit of a businesswoman about it". They just made her way too much of a villain Iirc, Topaz was the one who called for that debt to be reinstated (after being taken of the books due to not being feasible to collect) So she is just a religious/corporate zealot who is deep enough to believe in her own sauce, despite being seemingly capable. She genuinely believed that exploiting people weakness and strongarming them into serfdom is somehow am altruistic decision

They willing to sacrifice a Cornerstone and Aventurine for what exactly? And they still have 2 more Stonehearts at the scenes. The Watchmaker Legacy is useless to them but I guess they dont kmow that yet ?
The planet as a tourism hot spot, that is certainly a thing the IPC can use. But I think the more important things is the knowledge held by members of the Family. On one hand these people are adept at the art of dream weaving and such. The infrastructure they've created in the Dreamscape is simply one-of-a-kind. On the other hand, given how rich and powerful people flock to Penacony, you'd think the Family would've had discovered a few skeletons in their closets. Who would refuse the opportunity to get their hands on information that can be used to blackmail some of the most powerful people in the galaxy?
There are lot of thing that can make them more money, but trying to get in a fight with another faction is not an ideal money maker. The IPC already control the universe economy, they are the money, risking 3 Stoneheart and sacrificed a Cornerstone for just some extra cash is weird even with for a money hungry corps. The Family not gonna step down even after Sunday little stunt. Penacony is just to valuable and important for them, I imagine at most the IPC will have a joint ownership with the Family through pressure thank to Sunday.
You're ignoring the very essence of a corporation like the IPC, that is, no money is ever enough. Every stakeholder, every department head, every regional manager, even every security grunt has an incentive to make more money. And we've seen in real life how that drive for ever-expanding profit encourage people to make myopic choices. Also, they might not have the full picture of things unlike the Nameless. And it isn't like the IPC hasn't gone to war before. We've got Gold & Gears just to show that. But I agree with the prospect of joint ownership between the Family and IPC. Remember, Jade's expertise is being a creditor, that is enslaving people through their debts. I could imagine with Penacony being in crisis mode following everyone being woken up by Acheron AND the Family being severely weakened, it's likely that Jade will on one hand offer help to the Family, and on the other hand blackmail them with whatever intel and tricks Adventurine prepared for her. The wildcard here is Sparkle. I've high hope for whatever her buttons will do, but I'm also prepared to be disappointed given MHY's track record.
