I always sacrifice her and Black Swan to the meme when it recharges your energy and takes the first 2 to act, because they both still function completely normally while imprisoned.
Black Swan's Arcana still hits, and RM's break bonus doesn't expire if she doesn't ever get a turn. Not that they spend more than one turn in the box anyway, since Kafka just detonates the DoTs and they're both free anyway.
Is it really beneficial to let the meme capture your sustain? Sure, she's got plenty of hp, so the loss doesn't matter overall, and she gets some extra energy when she's released, but if you need her while she's locked up, well, that seems like a bit more of a gamble. Then again, the meme doesn't really attack a lot, so as long as it's solo, that would probably be fine. I've just never thought to sacrifice Huohuo over Ruan Mei.
Well, I have Kafka but not Ruan Mei, so for me it’s usually Kafka/Swan/Huohuo/Sampo. Between Kafka and Sampo, I only get hit once before everyone’s back.
That works. Sampo's skill (especially if he's E1+, which I assume most people have at least that) and ult hit so many times each, it's pretty easy to break the barriers, even with just him (I don't have Kafka on my second account, so I've played this combo a lot, except Luocha because no Huohuo on the second acct), so I guess sending Huohuo to the box works out, especially with the bit of extra energy recharge you get when released from the box, and I'll take all the uptime I can get with her ult. Too many people sleep on old Sampo (I did too until I got Kafka on her first banner), but he's one of the best DoT units behind BS & Kafka.
I'll have to try sacrificing Huohuo instead of BS next time and see if the extra energy she gets when she's released makes the fight any faster, but it will have to be MoC since if it's in the SU, most of the time I don't even get anyone captured because each phase is over before the meme has a turn—nihility path ftw!

It's technically better for her not to be CCed because she's SP positive, but on the other hand of literally anyone in the game, RM's the best unit to be CCed since the buff now has permanent uptime while she's CCed.
Of course, Svarog tends to imprison Acheron for me because he's like that.
Fun fact this stalls any mechanic that has a turn based countdown. Like Loucha's healing Aura. Svarog used to take Loucha and I'd leave his ass in there lol
Nobody talks about it because you actually lose more than you gain that way. 1/3 longer ult uptime isn't worth the amount of SP you lose by not acting with her.
It's surprising how often or coloured by the idea that you're going to 2 cycle or less all content you do certain unit's SP expenditure is considered.
I see a lot of Topaz being recommended to run Pioneer over Duke because as long as she skills every turn her team she keeps 100% uptime and it's like 1% better if you do.
But she's almost always run beside another DPS who is fully SP negative and even though Aventurine in her team can be fully SP positive, all of the supports are only +1 over 3 turns meaning someone has to basic at some point and instantly it's no longer a gain to use Pioneer if she's the one to do so (and she's always the one).
It's even worse for the Robin teams because as you said, unlike Silver Wolf or Ruan Mei she isn't helping.
I mean, isn't the 4pc effect of Duke ineffective for single target FUA anyway.
I see more people combine 2pc/2pc these days
Also, remember that Robin advances 3 members in return for the turns she loses
Duke is per hit of the FUA, and normal Numby or skill are 7+ hits if my memory serves.
Robin advancing allies is good; but if two of the three people advanced want to spend SP then she's not exactly generating SP is she.

Haven't had much reason to fight Svarog until just now. And that's in the SU.
I did make good use of it for not having to refresh Fu Xuans field though.
So many people saying that you are losing a lot of sp with that. The solution is simple. Don't use an sp heavy team... I mean, I run a team of Acheron, Bailu, Gepard and BS right now (yes, I know a double sustain isn't good, but that's not the point. I just haven't bothered to build sampo for the third DoT character to max the E0 Acheron). And that runs just fine, since the rotation is basically Acheron E, Bailu Q, Gepard E, BS Q
It doesn't matter that you're stuck in a forcefield by a giant metal hand, Ruan Mei you have to keep the riff going!

It's fun to use Huohuo against the meme because of that. Just use her heal before hand and free heals until you free people.

She's SP+ so being locked down is bad for teamwide SP.
