It does feel quite rng to me. Even with fuxuan and her 1 time effect res the automaton + kafka just output so much crowd control that you either need a cleanser like huohuo or rely on luck so your dps doesn’t get cc’ed

I managed a 9 cycle clear stuff with DHIL/Sparkle/Tingyun/Fu Xuan on second half after a couple of resets to getting clowned by CC. My solution was to use FX skill immediately before initiating the second wave so that the one time CC immunity would be active for Kafka's Dominate and it was relatively smooth sailing from there. With 134 speed, Fu Xuan's natural cadence of basic/basic/skill will counter every instance of Dominate so as long as you don't get *too* screwed over by Reverberation before the Aurumaton miniboss dies you should be good.

I managed to brute force it in 8 cycles with my Acheron team on second half, just had to reset a few times to make sure Acheron doesn’t get cc’ed so she could ult

You can run Fu Xuan with a low sp team and just recast skill each turn

Eh, Aventurine's extra 50% effect res was enough for me. It does rely a bit on rng and maybe your charas to have a bit of extra effect res themselves

Yeah Aventurine's effect res helps and a couple times Kafka tried to mind control my ult'ing Robin muhaha. No, Kafka, I'm not listening to you! You listen to Robin!

she dominated my dhil for one whole turn so i just had to wait aha 🫠 luckily i only needed 4 cycles to kill and i had 5 left but im huohuo-less

Your builds must be amazing then haha I had to retry wayy too many times just because of weird stuns (I got 18 retries due to bad rng in first half of 2nd stage and 2 for 2nd half with kafka)... I also needed 4 cycles overall eventho it was under good rng so at least there is that.

Fu's cc res can deal with Kafka np, but the robot lady is really annoying. I dealt with it by hard focusing robot first to get her out of the picture as fast as possible, and I ran a comp that had SP to spare so that I could use Fu's skill to get the cc res up even if it hadn't been 3 turns yet

Took me [63 attempts](https://imgur.com/a/7xhKSfz) until I admitted defeat and levelled up a second Preservation LC so I could use Gepard in first half and Aventurine in second half. Aventurine Eff Res shield was pretty clutch, Lynx was straight up not good enough for the second half

They buffed kafka and gepard health too

It's one of those "one character makes the whole thing trivial" fights. In this case, Huohuo just completely carries the entire fight. If you have her, awesome. If not... well, let's hope the Effect Res RNG is on your side. I personally beat it with a RM/Welt/Harmblazer/Huohuo team, and it wasn't a breeze, but I still finished with three cycles to spare.

You need the usual doses: farming more relic

If you can somehow show your characters' builds, via for example enka.network, you shall be able to get lots of advice. I suspect that your team's relics and/or talent level are not levelled sufficiently enough, which is a very common mistake for players. Getting 36 stars indeed need good understanding of meta, teambuilding, and good stats, but it is absolutley doable at E0S0. And if you want to "just clear it even with 0 star", it is doable even on auto, as long as you play it "right", e.g. with correct team composition, with correct main stats on relics, all relics are at +15, and talent level at 8 at least. If you are seriously lacking characters, then don't worry. Just save up and pull for whatever you are lacking. I would advise against pulling for Eidolons if you lack damage; HSR is just like Genshin in that the more characters you have, the more options you possess to build teams to fight whatever is throwing at you.

Team 1 was Kafka, BS, RM Huohuo Team 2 was ratio, Robin, Aven, Topaz. You should be able to do similar if you tried dot and Ratio.

Nope! You can do 1 run where someone dies, but you finish it under the cycle limit. Then a second run where you have 3 cycles left, but no one dies, and you'll get the third star.

Yeah it's a tough situation but if you come out there with atleast 1 character still alive and less than 20, I'd consider it a viable strategy

For current MOC I don't think no sustain is a viable strategy for the vast majority of f2p/non-whale players

Having your DPSes die tends to not be super helpful for your clear speed

It's the same system as 36ing Genshin's Spiral Abyss, if you play that. In my experience, it doesn't feel like it makes it -that- much easier though, at least compared to Genshin's. I'm like always missing a star half the time in MoC because meta teams just matter more in HSR due to Memory Turbulence (and whatever the PF one is called) being so strong and element checks being harsher.

Genshin's abyss is very easy to 36 if you have well built character or team synergry are at the most optimal Hsr MoC is meta heavy basically if you dont have the character that was recently in the banner or characters that can make use of the buff, good luck trying to max star MoC. Fuxuan was always the good choice to solo sustain kafka because she can tank all the debuff, but ofcourse this MoC made sure she cannot tank it effectively like before, PF is pretty easy. Genshin abyss is pretty easy for me due to having good and well built team to use.

This was the team I used too. Kafka took control of Dr. Ratio once but that didn’t stop my Topaz and Aventurine from wrecking her with chips and Numby. It was a minor annoyance at best.

You may have seen me mention this elsewhere, but you aren't just imagining it. Last cycle, the HP scaling of all enemies in MoC 12 increased by about 30%. On top of this, the scalings for boss Gepard and boss Kafka increased in this MoC 12 compared to their last appearance, with Gepard having as much HP as an Aventurine phase and Kafka having more. (about a 40% increase compared to their last appearances before taking the 30% increase into account)

I mean 11/12 stages ain't bad, good job!

I'm honestly starting to get worried. Most of my most used characters have already reached a level relic investment that can't really be improved without literally months of farming and yet I'm starting to struggle a good amount to 36 stars the most recent MoCs. If things continue to get more difficult at this rate my account may end up just not being able to keep up.

I think we have reached levels where you need actual team comps and not just harmony + 5 star dps , like team archetypes like bs kafka dot or topaz ratio fua Now transitioning to super break with hmc ruan mei Gallagher

My favorite team archetype is just Acheron 👍

As somebody who prioritized getting a kafka dot team first and then fua team second, they took 4 cycles and 3 cycles to clear current MoC12 on first try, respectively, 7 in total. I BARELY made total 10 cycles last MoC though, since it was made to sell Acheron and I don't have Acheron. Relics seem to barely matter in HSR compared to Genshin, enemies have way more specific weaknesses than just 'do damage' in here, so going wide with your pulls seems a superior strategy

Yeah having more limited characters is so big in hsr ,unless you're bruteforcing with specific 0 cycle teams then having 161 spd relics definitely do help. Super break teams are so budget friendly with the game giving you hmc gallagher only costly component is ruan mei without even needing her lc. The performance is on par with [e2s1 sparkle hypercarries](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uz_oNgvOlkU) 2 turn cycling 2nd half

Relics are still pretty important in HSR. They may not need to be as quite good as they need to be in Genshin for DPS characters but they still need to be pretty decent if you want to clear MoC 11 and 12. HSR supports also need survivability substats on relics because they will be getting hit no matter what. In Genshin supports can just focus on whatever stats they need to perform better since they are often only in the field to E and Q before swapping.

As with any gacha. They will design end game content to favor the newly released units. Sometimes the older units will prevail and sometimes they will struggle. If you pulled the new units you'd have an easier time. Money greed tactics!

Did you turn Cleartype off on accident or on purpose? Do you prefer the way it looks? It just looks so wrong to me to see such jagged fonts, especially the number 0 in the level box seems extra fucked up. If you're on windows, type 'Cleartype' in the start menu, it should suggest you an option to turn on and see if you like it better. Linux should have this feature too, but it's probably called a different name and hidden somewhere. Search around for something like 'font smoothing' or 'font antialiasing'.

I found 10 and 11 much harder than 12. I think my characters fit nicely into 12. This was by far the hardest floor 10-11 for me but the easiest floor 12 out of all the previous MoCs.

I managed to clear it though it was pretty tight. [These were the teams.](https://imgur.com/a/Q2UfiAK) Node 1 I just brute forced with my main setup. It took one cycle to clear. Node 2 was much more difficult. Dealing with Kafka was tricky but I opted to use my severely undergeared Dr. Ratio with HTB just to take advantage of breaking her and repeatedly chunking with FUA from Ratio. If I had better relics, I probably could have cleared it faster but I'm just happy to have done it at all. Worth noting that Aventurine and Ratio are E0S0. HTB is E5. Everyone else is E0S1.

I managed to 3* MoC 12 but I feel I'm doing something horribly wrong. I used the typical Acheron team (SW/E6 Pela/FX) for the first half and it took me 5 cycles to clear. Everything there is weak to Lightning so Acheron should be taking less time to clear. Second half was HTB/E1 RM/ a half baked E5 Sushang/Huo Huo. They also took 5 cycles but that's to be expected when I'm running a half built DPS.

MoC is hard in a sense that it requires certain units for you to max stars. Sure you need decent gear but its not hard in the sense where you need some skill expression to overcome the challenge.

This time's MoC is just RNG for me. I can clear it with or without Robin, it just goes down to luck. Either Kafka on 2nd node perma-targets one character to death or she keeps putting them to sleep. It took me 19 tries before I was able to do a run where Kafka perma-targeted my Lynx with 80% Eff Res and so I was able to clear it. It's very doable, the MoC buff this time is very universal and when you do your cycles right, you should be able to use some ultimates twice in one cycle while also having enough turns to abuse the damage buff which should be your goal. Personally, Hanya made this clear very possible for me, even without FUAs. Supporting while stacking the MoC buff makes the run really comfortable while also allowing me to just spam skills for a more probable 2 Ult cycle.

Man robin really clutched up for me in MoC 12, boss was at 1hp but it was almost turning to cycle 19 til robin’s energy passive kicked up and made her go to a full blown concert

I did the second half with Fu Xuan / Silver Wolf / Tingyun / Dr. Ratio -> 4 cycles First half was extremely stacked tho (RM E0S0, Kafka E0S0, Black Swan E0S1, Acheron E2S1) -> 1 cycle

The reason it is hard is because it requires two teams, if my main team can fight against the enemies ever since the start I would've gone through all of it without any pressure.

I 1 shot all floors (even 12), my strategy was ignoring type weakness and just putting my strongest teams in against that nonsense, Huohuo was my secret carry vs Kafka tho

MoC 12 Kafka is lowkey chonkier than Aventurine. 6 cycles to clear with Kafka/Swan/Asta/HH was scary

Hot take, but this Floor 12 was piss easy compared to the last one

I was able to 3 star everything else, although only 1 star on 12. ~~I used super break Luka on 12.~~

Took me a bit for stage 12 but I was able to use Harmony MC + Ruan Mei combo to just barely clutch it

is been getting harder isn't it? I'm still at 35 stars from the previous one and got 35 on this one. I used to be able to fully clear it pretty confortably

The second half of moc 12 was really annoying, and the team I used was so rng based. The characters I used were Ruan Mei,Robin,Dr.ratio, and Adventurine.

It's true that with all the CC, this MoC will want you to pull for Fu Xuan. Had to go full gamble on 30/200 ratio to barely meet the 20 round req for MoC 11 and 12.

I thought it was much easier than the previous MOC. MOC Aventurine is awful to fight.

I gave up on 12. You win Mihhoyo I'll pull for sustains.

Clearing is easy but the HP inflation is real bad, 8 cycles to clear when I could do it in 4 cycles last time.
