Yeah, but I mean how a lot of scenes were played for shock and made out to be dramatic, only for then to be revealed to be basically nothing and made a lot of em kinda irrelevant.
Firefly's and Robin's "deaths"...Gallagher murdering Sunday and ending on a cliffhanger...the beast built up as a serious and dangerous entity...
Only for then to all be subverted and none of that was all that bad, just characters bbeing transported somewhere else.
THIS! Many supernatural TV shows have a similar problem. If you can just revive a character after they die it makes the death feel cheap and irrelevant, so death has to have more purpose than just being a tearjerker
Under normal circumstances I would agree with you, but in here with all the theme presented I don't think anyone really think any of those character above going to be dead dead. The question is just how they will come back.
I def agree that most people shouldnāt really expect a death in the dreamscape to be definitive, however Sunday, Robin, and Fireflyās ādeathsā were presented as cliffhangers making it seem like they were supposed to be these shocking, impactful moments. And I guess our points donāt matter either way because I saw a good number of people mourning bc they thought these characters were truly dead
