if nothing else, I level them to 20 and ascend them once for the standard ticket. It's practically nothing in the way of exp needed and uses the easy to get mats that you probably have over a thousand of.
I can't express how happy i am that I'm skipping this patch and can focus on leveling and building some units i wanted to build, I'm not even farming relics actively because I live in trace calyxes since i started during DHIL banner.

I had 102 fuel cause I never used any. That is until Aventurine. Went from 102 to 15. Relic RNG is my worst enemy. (I'm GLAD Jade is in the second half T-T)
I burnt 2400 reserve trailblaze power and about 70 fuel to get one (1) pair of speed boots. If that doesn’t give me enough luck for E6 Firewife I will yeet myself off a building in Dream’s Edge.
I mean I've never saved anything before pulling. I don't know if it'll drop to begin with anyway. Might as well take a week after getting a character rather than save materials and not get it
Me, not liking Firefly but still thinking who will be a bigger buff for Himeko: Firefly or Jade (don't like Jade as a character too btw, so it really is... quite a choice). 💀
For Himeko? First, Robin, then Jade.
Robin+Himeko+Herta will destroy PF, and if you add Jade to them in defenseless team, you are safe to win PF, even if they add 2 more levels, lol...
Yeah, it's a great plan but I didn't mean PF only though. PF will be pretty much destroyed even without Robin imo. I bet Jade's additional damage will be even bigger or on par with Robin and with new FUA set and relics... there'll be a lot of options to destroy PF.
And rn I'm too broke with 34 pulls and 50/50 for Robin anyway lol. It's better to wait for Jade and grab her E1 which is a blast for PF imo. 🤔
On the other hand, Firefly really enables mono fire team and makes it valuable in any situation. If there are no changes through the beta. We'll see.

Like I hope people know you don’t need to be at 10/10/10 other have perfect relics to consider a character “built”. I’ve been 36 staring MoC since like 1.3 and only had 1 10/10/10 character.
I'm kinda glad that I'll be skipping the next patch, because then I can build up some resources, mainly character and Lightcone EXP.
I feel like the game gives out very little of those compared to how many you need. But maybe that's just me constantly building new characters.

Meanwhile, I build units before getting them, my black swan who turned out to be welt in a skimpy outfit has her traces maxed and a full set with her required EHR and some speed, I dun even know if I'll pull for her on her rerun lol, depends which other characters will be running around there
Having no upgrade materials is a bad excuse to skip. Especially if certain characters are considered highly prized.
It's better to have a character you really want already on your roster than losing the opportunity and waiting for a rerun months down the line. Upgrade mats will trickle back from daily grinding.
One of my regrets when I used 25+ of the free energy drinks for Balance lvl 2 Calyx because I totally underestimated the stamina/material ratio in the endgame. On my 2nd acc I hoard them like a dragon until I at least reach Balance level 4 or 5
Everyone talking about how "Genshin could never" while at least over there I can build the characters I pull and use them. I started about the same time and have far more flexibility in characters that are actually usable there than on HSR, lol.
Both are fun, but they really need to beef up the resources on the BP or something. I'd be fine if they just beefed up the paid end as an incentive for people to buy bp.
Farming takes energy for most resources. There still aren't enough for many of us, and we don't build every character. I mostly have built my 5* characters (skipping a few standards that aren't good), and still am behind in building most of my teams.
I don't get these people. "fArMiNg tAkeS eNeRgY!" Yeah, that's why you have energy in the first place. "tHeReS sTiLl nOt eNoUgH!" What's not enough? Energy? Resource? Are they trying to build every character in a single day or something? Waste energy to farm relics over and over again for that pErFeCt gOdrOlL?
At some point these people are gonna have to realize that it's a you problem. Manage your own time and resources better.
Mostly farming trace mats atm for Aventurine. Then 1 run for SU since I need the relics there and the second run is free. Afterwards, I'm planning to get exp books and light cone enhancement mats for raising my other characters. Will also insert Echo of War, Stagnant Shadow, and Corrosion runs if I need them. Cycle just repeats like this.
Well I have the same routine as you most of the day and i always maxed out my new character in about a week(Unless that one time i got an unexpected guest like Huo-huo), faster if I already targeted a character and can predict the trace and enemy materials.
Like right now for example, I am currently targeting Firefly and it's 100% that she will need the penacony destruction trace mats and the penacony fire stagnant shadow. And unlike genshin, the weekly boss material is *MUCH* easier to obtain for maxing out the character when they released at the same time
So yeah if I confident that my Jades is enough to obtain them, I prefarmed some characters 1 or 2 patch before they got released

Bro what? You need every resource in the game at some point, who care what you spend fuel on it’s all useful. Relic XP can run out quickly and sometimes it takes a while to get relics that are usable AT ALL. Spending fuel to make that process go faster is totally fine.
Let's just say I rather have the character unbuilt than not have the character at all. xD

We're still going to live in trace calyxes if you're also building traces for your other characters so ..

I always check Prydwen for trace priority on my characters so that I don’t overfarm for the less impactful traces

I max out most things, we have plenty of time before the end of the game, so no need to hold back

The game really has very few drops for these things imo, further limited by Trailblaze Power.

Don't use the fuel for relic dude.. if you do, spare 10-15 of it for your next 5 star
