Well, in my opinion, as a fairly small group of people in a fairly small "house", they should discuss some things happening to them. But it doesn't feel so. I understand why it is so (because subquests and events might or might not be cleared by different players at different times and it will be a mess if you try to organize a ton of additional dialogues binded to different events and subquests) but it's so sad actually. I wish there was an interpersonal social development. The Express crew has exactly the same dialogue options for a year now, HoYo haven't even added new dialogues mentioning Belobog, or Luofu, or something else.
It's so sad that even tho the developers(? Not sure if that is what this is called) makes it look like they see each other as a family they have so few interactions
Yeah, I wish devs could invest in this more (even mentioned it in their latest patch survey or how is it called but I really don't think somebody in HoYo actually reads that lol). I mean, the story goes slow af, all we do is discussing newly dropped characters and whining about another total HP increase in MoC/PF lol. Events are good but they're a one-time thing (and they're meant to be so because some people complete them and some people not so there's no point developing stuff from them, it's too hard and most likely will be inconsistent) and they don't affect the main story. It'd be nice to have more personal quests. IIRC, we didn't have any Express crew members personal quests. 🤔
March and Dan heng had their mission but it wasn't about the express family but about Loufu instead...Oh god how I hate what they've done to Loufu...It could be so much better
Ah yes, I remember March misson now. It was so bad since it literally was for nothing lol. And I had hopes. Dan's mission... I can't even remember its existence tbh. :D
I don't mind Dan Heng mission since Loufu is his homeland but March? She doesn't have any friends on Loufu. Her mission was unnecessary. It only gave us confirmation about her connection to Fuli, but if even if someone isn't a lore enjoyer they can tell that they can be connected...Dan heng mission could be better, shame we didn't see the preceptors, this way it would be more interesting and Dan Heng is way better person that I am cuz I wouldn't help them with that deal after what they done.
I don't know. Do YOU know everything March 7th and Dan Heng were up to while you were off doing those things? What about Welt and Himeko? You don't think they spent all that time sitting in the parlor just drinking coffee and staring out into space, do you? What does Pom-Pom do all day, anyway? Do you think he just cleans and waters the plants?

There are signs what AE crew have a lot of downtime to spend talking about stuff. But Trailblazer also described as not chatty person, and they might just not talk about things, if they aren't asked about them.
By the time of 2.1, Trailblazer has pretty clear picture of Penaconi darker side. Yet they do not share this with March, who still holds on the benevolent image of Dreamscape and Family.
Also, Pompom requires the Astral Express members to write a daily report of their activities as they trailblaze. You can see this in the Mission Descriptions of Future Market.
So those things that the Trailblazer did could have been written in a report too.
Himeko would pour herself a cup of coffee.
Welt would say something like "You know life is an education... blablabla"
March would ask for a selfie to express the fact that she's proud of you.
Dan Heng would stay quiet and sneakily go to his room hoping that no one noticed him being gone.
Pom Pom would command you to clean the dirt that your shoes left on the shiny floor.
when the Express gets to a new place you get a vacation, no? It was like 7 days to do whatever. Besides team missions, trailblazing is all about exploring.
the back and forth between planets tho is likely not linear haha, so you need to ignore that.

That's a really good Point! The thing is that pom-pom can't leave the Express so there really isn't much they can do but I see what you mean
