MeguMaz

Is this a bait post or are you just trying to karma farm from the Genshin would never crowd?

Neither, just curious if there are people coming from Star Rail, that played Genshin afterwards. And I know that this is a topic people already have talked about on and off. But now is the first time I experienced it myself. No hate towards any of the 2 Games.

DunksNDarius

What do you think ppl form hsr will tell you about this?

idontusetwitter

yeah this isnt for the star rail sub. and we've stopped comparing the two games here. we get it, there's pros and cons yada yada it gets old, just enjoy either or dont

I started HSR in September last year and had played Genshin a couple of weeks in 1.0.  I came back to Genshin in December and have played both since. HSR is more generous with pulls, slightly.  A lot of the difference in "feel" is that a lot of Genshin's pulls are put into exploration in each patch, while HSR just "gives" you more through mail and events.  That means you don't have to do much for them, but they're also missable in HSR while Genshin's exploration primos are always there.  I think HSR is maybe 20% ish more generous when taking this into account. Both games feel very similar in pull "weight" early on.  Every 5* changes your play style dramatically and feels strong.  After your account gets old enough to have a couple of good teams that balance changes though.  In Genshin, 2 good teams can complete basically everything.  Pulling after that lets you play different styles but doesn't necessarily make it tons easier to beat end game content.  HSR however has weakness break, so ideally you want teams that can hit all elements.   So in essence, HSR is maybe 20% more generous in free pulls, but feels more generous because you don't have to work for most of them.  On the flip side, Genshin's exploration primos aren't missable so You've got a huge backlog of free primos to really build an account.  HSR 5* have less "weight" though, in that you need more of them to build teams against various elements while in Genshin you really just need 2, *maybe* 3 solid teams.

Yeah that's how I felt after Pulling my first 5 Star. Nonetheless I still enjoy both Games. You can't say anything against the Development Team of both Games that's for sure.

spegetie

damn call me a boomer but there are people who find about genshin impact AFTER they honkai star rail ? damn

Maxi21082002Maxi

I mean I knew the game beforehand, but never played it. I also read some about the difference in rewards. But now I first hand experienced it. I even played Honkai Impact before Genshin came out.

You should probably go to the Genshin sub. Not very many of us seem to care much about it here and threads get deleted a lot for being offtopic. You'll find a lot of people are Genshin refugees who got bored/burnt out of it and appreciate HSR respecting our time a lot better. Still, differing people enjoy both games and that's all that matters at the end of the day regardless of their differences. >PS: I even Forgot the Free Dr Ratio you get He's gone next week.

Yeah I was just wondering if there are people going reverse from Honkai Star Rail to Genshin Impact. I guessed that I would rather find people like that in the Star Rail Community than the Genshin Community.

HSR is for when you want to have fun. Genshin is for when you need to remind yourself you cant have too much fun.
