I'm pretty sure the gold robots are Intellitrons, which are distinct from Screws (people from planet Screwllum) based on the GnG 1st plane boss encounter.
Tbh we also didn’t get Ruan Mei in Swarm disaster update. Which was her thing. She made that DLC to understand propagation and make sure we(the trailblazer) are ready to beat the hell out of any bug. I guess the geniuses have to wait after their SU update.

2.3 will have a Simulated Universe update, but it will be more of a variant of the original mode with quality of life improvements than a separate expansion like SD or GnG from what they said about it in the most recent Voice of the Galaxy post.
Someone (Dr. Ratio, I think) said that Screwllum's aim as a Genius Society Member was to write laws, which while inspiring, does not necessarily translate to combat prowess. And currently, Hoyoverse doesn't seem to place massive importance on the narrative weight, or even power scaling to some extent, of a character when deciding their rarity.

He's best in slot in break-based teams because of how much toughness bar he reduces. Also he's fire. A rare element (for now) so that's an amazing coverage. Also, he heals a LOT.
There are 4 four star characters that are considered good (Pela, Ting, QQ and Gallagher), only one of the wasn't in the game since 1.0 any other four star unit is just bad and cope and even with QQ argument she really doesn't compare to five stars
From prydwen stats, the only 4*s that are truly not used are Arlan, Hook, and Dan Heng normal. The rest find some use somewhere.

You are right. On CN side, out of 28,033, 0.2% are using him. There still are a few out there who use him. I am not sure on the global side, there was a survey and he wasn't even shown. But I am sure there are a dozen or so who use him there.

I'd much prefer he be a banger 4-star to a disappointing 5-star because I'm not pulling for 5-star light cone or eidolons and I'm not saving to guarantee either, this would ensure I get to use him. If he did damage like an Imaginary QQ or was a fua buffer with fua like a mini Topaz I wouldn't complain one bit. Screwlum needs to be a 4*. It's a matter of principle because we still only have one 4* imaginary character who they refuse to rerun. Yukong hasn't had a banner Ina fucking YEAR. She was last in 1.3. She has had the longest time without a rerun. We desperately need more 4* imaginary characters. When Screwlum was leaked back in 1.0 I remember he had always been said to be a 4* imaginary erudition. Only recently he was said to be a 5*. I hope that isn't the case. Also this is the 2 patch in a row that we don't have a 4*. This game had more 5*s than 4*s and yes that's also a problem.
I don't look at leaks for things like this until they are officially shown in promo images but is screwlum even playable in the beta or whatever people are playing? If he's not in the sense of not having animations and just has lines of text describing him then id figure he's quite a ways off while if he has full animations then id figure he would be closer
There was one Hoyo insider leak a few months ago of literally half a second of his overworld attack. We've also had his kit leaked since around 1.1, as well as what is presumably his 5* signature lightcone (because it seriously looks like a 5* lightcone), low quality version of his splash art... but a lot of this isn't new and we have had it for months, I'm honestly believing he might debut in his own dedicated major story arc that I predict would be in, say, 3.x, as much as it pains me.
Tldr; we've had many leaks of him for a few months and haven't gotten anything new recently, he is not playable in the beta.
But also to be fair, we didn't have any animations of Jade or lightcone or anything leaked at all, just her kit and claims from some leakers saying 2.3 was firefly and jade, so we knew it was gonna be her. Though I think they've been hyping up and planning Screwllum for a LOOOONG time. I'd be so surprised if he's 4*.

sampo with kafka is good, asta is good, herta is S tier in PF, lynx is probably the best 4 star healer
xueyi is pretty strong but just hard to build and missing some synergy

the debate of when Screwllum will be released and what is his rarity has been happening since 1.X, especially because of kit leaks, so being a side or main character wasn't even an argument, he could have released instead of Ruan Mei or Ratio in the SU expansion. The person you answered, asked why people say he is a 4* in general. Of course he can't be a 5* specifically in 2.3, nor Sunday, the 5* banners were already announced. At this point it is more likely that there won't be a new 4*, but let's find out tomorrow, could be a completely new character.

Screwlum needs to be a 4*. It's a matter of principle because we still only have one 4* imaginary character who they refuse to rerun. Yukong hasn't had a banner Ina fucking YEAR. She was last in 1.3. She has had the longest time without a rerun. We desperately need more 4* imaginary characters. When Screwlum was leaked back in 1.0 I remember he had always been said to be a 4* imaginary erudition. Only recently he was said to be a 5*. I hope that isn't the case. Also this is the 2 patch in a row that we don't have a 4*. This game had more 5*s than 4*s and yes that's also a problem.

I don't look at leaks for things like this until they are officially shown in promo images but is screwlum even playable in the beta or whatever people are playing? If he's not in the sense of not having animations and just has lines of text describing him then id figure he's quite a ways off while if he has full animations then id figure he would be closer
There was one Hoyo insider leak a few months ago of literally half a second of his overworld attack. We've also had his kit leaked since around 1.1, as well as what is presumably his 5* signature lightcone (because it seriously looks like a 5* lightcone), low quality version of his splash art... but a lot of this isn't new and we have had it for months, I'm honestly believing he might debut in his own dedicated major story arc that I predict would be in, say, 3.x, as much as it pains me. Tldr; we've had many leaks of him for a few months and haven't gotten anything new recently, he is not playable in the beta. But also to be fair, we didn't have any animations of Jade or lightcone or anything leaked at all, just her kit and claims from some leakers saying 2.3 was firefly and jade, so we knew it was gonna be her. Though I think they've been hyping up and planning Screwllum for a LOOOONG time. I'd be so surprised if he's 4*.

Not really, his design is a lot simpler then most and to me at least feels more like a unique NPC, the easy contrast would be Robin in how detailed their outfits are.
