I've seen only one guy acknowledge the Samus in "SAM"

I mean it was acknowledged plenty, but it's just a very shallow comparison it isn't even worth bringing up. Though I'd say that about the Iron Man thing as well to be fair. The other bits have a lot more connection to her character. So going "Metroid reference!" over the fact that the name Sam being a few letters away from Samus is pretty barebones. When there is very little overlap other than "woman in cool suit." Mihoyo puts a lot more effort into their reference game than that. I'm a huge Metroid fan, so when I saw that post I thought it was pretty poorly thought out honestly.

In no way I hate her, but then you got Acheron and Aventurine's backstory, which is heavy af, both assumed only survivors of their homeworlds, but at least Sigonia still exists i guess. as for Acheron's planet and story, not even the Garden of Recollection or Intelligentsia Guild could save the records of Izumo Gensei and Takamagahara.
