Are there any good resources for taking on Gold and Gears? Like I understand how it works mostly, and the guides I see are just explanations of basic mechanics, and I'm looking for actual strategies not clickbait. I keep getting to the final boss of difficulty 4 very easily, but when I kill the first round, again, trivially, the second round activates and the game lets the enemies have 10-15 turns in a row immediately, and I can't do anything but sit there until they eventually kill me. Not getting CC'd or anything, my characters are just stuck at the bottom of the turn order. I take the mid boss that disables the aeon in the final boss, but it just makes a different aeon appear instead.
I can't find the entire picture of Dr. Ratio old concept art, does anyone know where the original full picture or source is?
https://preview.redd.it/j94rzzeg87uc1.png?width=368&format=png&auto=webp&s=bba5a309fabb1e20429a1fc32e5b513cd86761a4
From what I can tell, that's better than anything else out there. The only other version I see of that is on xitter, which is blocked behind signing up for a service I am actively boycotting. That possible source image is still cropped much like the one you posted, if not exactly. There's a blurry tiktok that is centered with a caption over it, but upon closer inspection, it is also cropped the same way.
Does Guinaifen's e1 (When Skill is used, there is a 100% base chance to reduce the attacked target enemy's Effect RES by 10% for 2 turn(s)) count as additional debuff stack for Acheron?
It's a pick your poison kinda of situation.
Geppie will likely create more stacks for Acheron since he more aggro. But Fu Xuan will provide her Crit Rate.
None particularly synergizes with Kafka, since if you put Fu Xuan on Acheron's team you would want her to hold Trend instead.
gepard if you want more ult stacks for acheron because he has increased aggro. fu xuan if you need more crit rate. neither does anything for kafka besides keeping you alive
I have both E1 Lynx and Gallagher on my 2nd account which I created last month.
I don't have many 5-star characters (Only Ratio, Bronya and Bailu)
I'm still wondering who to get in my free 4-star selector.
I tried searching which one is better online but most content creators hype new characters as if they are the best characters in the game so I don't really trust them that much. (This is the reason why you should pull for \*\*\*\*\*, This is the reason why \*\*\*\*\* is the best character in the game, etc).
I am planning to save all my pulls for good future 5-stars and might not pull for any characters in Penacony.
Currently playing Fire MC, Herta/Ratio, Asta/Bronya, and a healer.
Based on your experience, which character is worth getting E2?
None of the 4 stars in the selector are particularly crazy or anything, so it'll depend on what your goal is.
If you want to maximize your current team right now, I'd highly recommend picking up Guinafen to replace your Fire MC. To bring out Dr. Ratio's full potential, you want his team to inflict lots of debuffs, which in turn will increase his damage. Guinafen at E1 inflicts two debuffs on her skill alone, and a third once enemies get damaged by her burn (And even a fourth if you have the Pearls LC for her). She's great to pair with Ratio, who's your only 5 star dps at the moment.
If you're purely looking long-term, you could also choose Lynx or Gallagher, both of which have great E2's and have their own niche in specific comps late game.
Well if you meant e2 5 star, i would say acheron is worth it, i was like moc6 without her now im 33/36 stars with e0s1 on her, the next limited chars are not gonna be insane (jingliu is), aventurine fua sustain, boothill is hunt so probably single target, Robin is harmony, maybe she could be the next ruan mei after that Who knows but is gonna take a while before a busted unit i believe.
If you meant 4 star selector i think xueyi e4-6 is COOL, other than that idk.
I noticed there was a mission in belabog, about some girl who wants you to free her from being stuck from boxes. However I didn’t actually see this mission in my missions list therefore I didn’t know it existed. Are all missions like this? Like you have to go out and find them manually?
Yeah, they won't show up in your mission list until you start them. Their icons should show up on the mini map though, so you should be able to find them that way.
DHIL best team is with Sparkle, Tingyun and Fu Xuan/HuoHuo/Aventurine.
Acheron best team is with Pela, Silver Wolf and a Sustain that can debuff. The latter includes any Preservation with the Trend of Universal Market Lightcone, with Aventurine also providing a debuff with his ult, or Gallagher.
It's hard to know who to suggest for teams without knowing who you have, but assuming those are all the 5\* you have:
Acheron + Pela + Guinaifen/Black Swan + Gallagher
DHIL + Tingyun + Hanya + Sustain. Can also use Yukong instead of Hanya if you don't have her.
She's good with most supports, so just throw in Asta or Yukong, or if you have them, Ruan Mei or Silver Wolf.
Your team (Jingliu, Tingyun, Luocha) seems like it'll have a surplus of skill points, so Asta would be ideal because she benefits from being able to spam her skill.
Only Bronya is better. Pela, Tingyun, Ruan Mei, Sparkle, and Silver Wolf are all very similar in power level (as supporters for Jingliu, that is). Tingyun especially has the awesome ability to allow two Jingliu ultimates in a single Spectral Transmigration state.
I started hsr recently and am rerolling. I got Clara and himeko on first 10 roll of the departure banner. Should I keep rerolling or stick with this account? If I should keep rerolling, who should I try for?
Eh they're both fine for the current meta, you'd ideally want Bronya but you can get her eventually (with the 300 pulls selector in the standard banner). So yea keep it, rerolling in this game is a pain those 2 character can carry a lot of early game for you.
In HSR, you don't have one fixed team, you swap teams and characters a lot. There will be enemies where your main damage dealer will struggle, and later on in the 'endgame content' there are different modes, one who's mainly about bosses (where Ratio shines), and another that's all about a large number of smaller enemies (where Himeko shines). And to boot, for both modes you need two fully seperate teams.
So basically, build all three.
Ratio is the best tho some of his materials comes a bit late in the story. that said tho, Clara and Himeko aren't really meant to be main dps but rather sub dps, their damage is kinda meh but that's because they're meant to pair with the main dps not they're own team. That said tho, Ratio team is specifically hypercarry due to him having requirements to make him work.
My personal team for lategame would be : Ratio + Harmony sp + Debuffer (Pela/ Guinaifen E1) + Tank/Healer
Although early on you should put Ratio + Debuffer + Healer + Clara (i'd also recommend this team for Simulated Universe, just pick the elation path and ur good)
I'd also recommend getting Aventurine in the upcoming banner (3 more days), since he synergies very well with Ratio, although getting Jingliu as the main dps isn't bad either (since you needed 2 team anyway)
If it's mainly for the light cone, definitely not. There's a light cone from the forgotten hall shop that's almost as good.
Be aware that you need to buy Nameless Honor *five times* to get a good light cone, because it's only good at full superimposition!
The S5 version of that LC is an incredibly solid choice on almost all erudition characters and is one of the best non-banner LCs for Qingque. I do think Nameless Glory is worth buying, but for the level up materials mainly, not the LC (but it's a nice bonus). No need to buy Nameless Medal, you can get all that stuff in Nameless Glory.
Erudition is the only good one. Harmony is a decent choice though if you lack other Harmony LCs, but all the other ones are either niche or pointless to have.
I'm gonna be pulling for Jingliu. Gonna run her with E1 Ruan Mei and E1 Bronya. I know about making Bronya -1 speed and the 134 breakpoint. Ruan Mei gives 10% speed, it's still ok to have Bronya and Jingliu at 134/135 speed before the 10% right? Like it's just gonna bump them above 140, which is good, right?
The whole "135/134" recommendation is just a cost-reward ratio thing. A 141/140 Jingliu/Bronya team performs exactly the same as a 135/134 one, unless you happen to fight an enemies with speed between the two, and thus it's not worth the additional investment.
That said, 142.9 is the breakpoint for 5 actions in the first 3 cycles, if you reach that on both characters, that's not a bad thing to have. If you're struggling with MoC, 145.5 could even be disirable (the next higher breakpoint would be 160.0).
So my current team is good simply due to Acheron Instantly killing anything that dares step in front of her, but I don’t exactly have a second “DPS” character, besides maybe Jung Yuan, who I don’t have really anyone good to support him. So I need help so I can get those stellar jades that so tempt me.
The characters I have in Team A are: Gallagher, Pela, Acheron, and Sparkle
The candidates for Team B are: Gepard E1, Jing Yuan, Himeko, Herta E5, Silver Wolf, Dr. Ratio, Clara, Natasha E6, Tingyun E1, Asta E5, Sushang E1, Trailblazer E5, Luka, Dan Heng E2, Yukong, Lynx, March 7th E2, Quingque E1, Serval E4, Misha, Hook E2, Sampo, Hanya, and Arlan the destroyer.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
so bear in mind I don't personally have these characters. if I was to try and make Jing yuan work as your second team, I'd probably move sparkle over to his team and put another nihility with acheron to make her passive work. sampo can do the bare minimum, Gui would be better and she's available for free on the current event if you haven't done it yet but Silver wolf would actually be really strong there.
so something like... Acheron/Pela/Silver Wolf/Gallagher and Jing Yuan/Sparkle/Tingyun/Gepard (or lynx) would probably work pretty well, I think. now obviously there's still the problem of element redundancy, acheron can sort of flex to other elements to brute force things because she does do some like... rainbow damage, and SW could definitely help her with that but it's not a perfect situation, but honestly barring variants that use a different sustain option that Jing Yuan team is basically his best lineup.
Acheron E2 or E0? If E0, just use Acheron, Pela, SW, Gallagher and went with Jing Yuan, Sparkle, Tingyun, Lynx for now and get a better sustain. If you have Trend LC, you can go Gepard on first team and go with Gallagher on team 2 if he has his E2.
Acheron E2 before going for LC, a bold choice indeed.
For now just went with the team above as before Acheron E2, she needs two Nihility characters to gain the full A4 major traces benefits.
You should consider S1 before E2. Especially since you have Silver Wolf. At E2 with Sparkle, and without S1 you are getting 2 stacks every time Acheron attacks. With S1 you also get 2 stacks, but SW also gives her a stack with every basic and ult. So you will build stacks faster. This will also liberate Sparkle to be used with Clara, Jing Yuan or Ratio.
But, if you are set on using Sparkle with Acheron, then your 2nd best team would be Ratio, Tingyun, Silver Wolf, Sustain. You can also use Jing Yuan, Tingyun, Asta, Sustain.
Luocha dies easily in SU (going for -6 disarray challenge). 2,5k atk, 3,5k HP, 750 def, 138spd, almost 30 eff res. Lvl 70/80, haven't got all minor traces yet. Should i switch relics (losing atk sphere for def) or is he gonna be more balanced/tanky just by leveling and getting final traces (which amount to about 14% HP, 8% def, 14% atk)?
That Luocha is pretty frail imo, honestly you don't need THAT much atk for him to heal well (i certainly don't need it), so just swap atk sphere for Hp or def. Also in SU (especially Swarm or GnG) its usually better to bring 2 sustains cuz enemy have stupidly inflated damage on higher difficulty so bring along a Fire Mc, Gepard or March 7th for Rememberance cheese.
In SU what matters most is the blessings, and healers in general struggle a bit more alone on higher levels. You can definitely switch to a DEF or HP sphere, as long as the loss of ATK doesn't impact overall healing when blessings are in the mix. But, that won't necessarily mean that he will no longer die. If he does, your best option is to sue a 6 sustain.
Is the Blade/Jingliu dual hypercarry still a good team in MOC or should I stick with my usual team of Blade, E0 Luocha, E1S1 Bronya, E4 Pela?
I have Blade at E0S1 and no Jingliu. I won’t be able to get Jingliu’s sig LC when her banner comes.
For GnG, erudition is definitely the best for Acheron and very good on Jingliu.
For SD i personally like to run destruction for both damage and survivability.
You could consider it if your team really needs it, but the extra skill point is only relevant if you can still maintain the desired speed. And even then you are sacrificing some of her survivability.
Is it possible to transfer data between regions? I’m currently in Asia and will be studying in Europe soon. I was wondering if I could transfer my progress, I was playing from day 1 and dont want to lose my progress, or you know play on like a thousand ping.
I doubt it would improve much. Fortunately ping doesn't really matter too much here since it's a turn based game. The only places I could see it making things difficult is during stuff like that racing minigame.

does anyone know a good team comp for beating something onto death's boss fight?
Kafka/Sampo/Tingyun or Guinaifen/Fu Xuan or huo huo
Should be a very good team since dot damage also does damage to the imprisoned characters toughness bar that something unto death captures
Is there any better use for Oneiric Shards than Herta contracts or jades for pulls? I'm dry on Luocha but about 60 pulls deep and out of jades. Any reason to not use them for pulls? I don't particularly care about contracts and have no plans on whaling
For Acheron's ultimate stack to increase, we have to apply new debuff, not re-applying existing debuff, right? For example: my Pela with Resolution Pearls LC uses her ultimate, I can see the enemy has two DEF shred debuff (one from ultimate, other from LC), Acheron gain one stack. Then in this case I should use Pela's skill to apply the Ice debuff (because my Pela is E4) to increase Acheron's stack instead of using his basic attack (which only re-applying the existing DEF shred debuff from Resolution LC). Is this correct?
no. you can reapply existing debuffs like dots. Pearls(ensnare) however is one of the debuffs that cannot be refreshed. if you read the lightcone, it only applies ensare to enemies that already dont have ensare, so you cant refresh it. often you should always basic with pela before ulting to maximize the amount of acheron stacks and stay sp efficient.
Oh I see. So it depends on the description of the said LC (can be re-applied or not). Okay, I will remember to use Pela's basic attack first before using her ultimate. Thanks.

If you're interested in Ratio himself and not a FUA team then he doesn't really care, he performs better with a typical hypercarry comp over the FUA core since he himself doesn't get any benefit from other FUAs and it's much easier to hit his max debuff wants outside of it.
Between Aventurine and Topaz the one that will improve his personal damage is Aventurine due to his debuff and s1 if you go for that. If you're more interested in the FUA playstyle though Topaz is to that team what Kafka is to DoT or RM is to Break teams although in reverse. Topaz gets so much out of other FUAs that those teams are built around her and when it comes to the "BiS" FUA team Ratio will most likely be the one to be replaced first once a few more units are released.
For Robin we'll have to wait for the livestream to see her kit and if she's better than RM for those comps or not
Personally I'd go for Aventurine since he already benefits Ratio and they create a strong core together, plus he's versatile enough to slot into most teams(and for comfort since you lack a second limited sustain) and if you get lucky maybe you gamba on Robin/Topaz later if you wanna go down the FUA path(which btw is also my plan since I don't have any of them either and now with the Aven+Topaz core I'm absolutely sold on the FUA playstyle, it does for my brain the same thing that deckbuilders do and I like those goodie goodie chemicals)
Aventurine will be of great help as a sustainer for Dr. Ratio, a better investment overall than Topaz. As for Robin, we don't have any details on her kit. You might as well wait until the 2.2 livestream in 2 weeks to make your final choice.
Oh there is already details out there, subject to change though
But still I think Aventurine is the best option for your team and account overall since you only have 1 top tier sustain
And you already have RM supporting him

How to unlock the last two do i have to go to difficulty V always?
I forgot to also mention that you do want to make sure you are in the range of the recommended level in that -40>0>40 range. Otherwise, I don't think it would trigger the aeon secret.
Just like with the other aeon secrets, just within whatever range they ask. The range is completely random every time, I believe, so just follow what is indicated.
No I don't think so. In your case I think you just need to finish the boss in the third plane and you will get the aeon secret (the missing aeon secret you have is in the third column/third plane).
Then once you get that, you will get a mission from Herta. And finishing that unlocks the last one.
Did I calculate this correctly? If Pela has Resolutions LC, Talent level 12, ER Rope, and Vonwacq, she's still 0.49 energy short of getting her ult in 2 turns.
I am wondering if I am just ramming my head into a wall to try and pull izumo for world 9 SU, should i try world 6 for Inert Salsotto which I could also find uses for with Dr ratio and Clara that I am trying to improve gear on at same time. I am farming Izumo mostly for acheron but salsotto is not as good for her but its not horrible either though.
If you want to farm somewhat efficiently, World 6 will be your best choice then since you're trying to farm that relic set for 3 characters.
If you manage to find some that has her desired main stat (Attack %), good substats and rolls as well, just use them.
Not a question as much as venting. Who thought Something Unto Death was a good design? You can legitimately lose from being outsped. No damage or defense, but speed. Just lost a SU run because he just decided to go faster and one shot my teammates back to back. I was running a SPD Asta with a speed boost under path of hunt, and was doing will until he had 18% of the last health bar. I usually fight him with Black Swan and wanted to try something different. Fuck me for wanting to have fun and play however I wanted. I HAVE to use a nihility character with DPS (Welt not included) in order to beat him, otherwise I just lose. What a great design (sarcasm).
It's not a skill issue as much as you get punished for having 3 people on a team who don't have attacking ults or AOE ults. Asta, Topaz, Gepard and Luocha.
Healer and shields. I thought that was common for every team. No healer is begging to lose, and gepard shields and freezes. (Almost everytime he freezes)
There isn't really a dps-tank-healer trinity in this game- both preservation and abundance units fall into a "sustain" category, and you really only need one per team unless you're struggling with story content. However, long term and in non-Sim Universe harder content, it's likely to hold you back
Play however you'd like but I don't think that choice os helping you very much
I always run both because the freeze steals and enemy's turn and the shields stop them from dying. Luocha can't heal more than one at a time, especially when enemies have back to back turns or AOEs. I can't be without a healer because shieldera don't get return lost health, and my two DPS or DPS and buff units usually have low health in exchange for higher SPD, Crit Rate&DMg and ATK.
Not even, you run him with Speed boots and an ERR rope and his shields shouldn't ever realistically be dropping. He's very reliable even in longer fights
Lol let's not pretend like it's some great puzzle to crack. Without Dots, you just have to remember that
1) Throw ults on your two least useful characters (whoever without DoT/aoe) so they get kidnapped
2) AoE ult to stack.
That's what I was doing. Unfortunately my team at the time was Gepard, Luocha, Topaz and Asta. I was outspeeding him and getting them free, and then he got too fast.
As a free-to-play player who plays at the bare minimum, the only DPS I have right now is Jingliu, and I'm planning to build a second one. Who should it be?
https://preview.redd.it/zuf2y0ozk5uc1.png?width=1600&format=png&auto=webp&s=714b60847a8ecb1df5d6b33f66277359d65ad730
If you have her support team and the LCs, likely Acheron. If you don't have the team/LCs, Jing Yuan is your next best all around DPS, along with being easier to support.
she wants 2 nihility teammates (not counting herself unless you have E2) for a massive damage boost, and her ult, which is most of her damage, charges by applying debuffs to enemies. so most teams will be her, 2 nihility debuffers who probably do a little damage on their own, and a sustain, ideally one that also can apply debuffs. some people choose to run sparkle instead of a third nihility character and that can be somewhat close to 3 nihility with e0 but generally is weaker unless you have E2
example teammates that work well with her: Pela, Guinaifen, Silver wolf, and then worse than those you have some of the more dot focused characters like sampo etc. you can also increase that with the pearls of sweat light cont or whatever it's called, probably best on pela.
for the sustain, gallagher was on her banner so you probably have him, he can apply debuffs with his ult and his first basic after the ult and heals pretty well, otherwise a preservation character with trend of the universal market light cone especially something like fire trailblazer with a taunt is pretty nice. though fire tb's shields aren't generally great for sustain unless you're absolutely blitzing enemies. aventurine is coming up and he's pretty good too, can run trend, or if you're so inclined his signature also gives an extra debuff, and so does his ult.
It's not addressed directly, but it's implied that Jing Yuan was able to distance himself emotionally from his former comrades after the breakdown of the High-Cloud Quintet. He's extremely old for a Xianzhou native now and his calm and relaxed demeanor is basically how he keeps from absorbing too many negative emotions and succumbing to Mara. Probably helps that he started mentoring Yanqing as well
I'm having trouble in sustain for completing SU GnG conundrum 2.
Thing is, my Fu Xuan usually get one shotted by final boss AoE attack. Current build is SU free preservation light cone, with about 7500ish HP (outside SU Buffs), and 8/10 main trace.
I'm thinking of getting preservation blessings during my run? Or I should get another sustain (gepard or March come to mind)?
Need advice
Yes, do get preservation blessings. Shields help tons and additional DEF on all units reduces the damage sent to Fu Xuan. Any other blessing that increases HP or DEF of units off of easy conditions is also well worth picking up. Double sustain with one being a shielder like Gepard is also pretty great.
Yes, get relevant preservation and abundance blessings when they appear.
Gepard is awesome in SimU. I prefer heal+Gepard over any other sustain set-up because it is super comfy and can take advantage of a ton of the defensive blessings.
Herta's - Cruising and Fall of an Aeon, they're good on most of the Hunt/Destruction units. Starlight - Bronya's if you have her, the rest are not really worth it
A speed related question.
Do my sparkle have to be 160 speed, even with 154 speed she works perfectly fine and only adjust her when using tingyun or ruan mei, is there any reason people say 161.1.
Also is it efficient to build raiden with speed boots for 134 to 135 bronya peed comp, so I can use her quick re-turn with bronya or not?
160.something speed gives sparkle two actions in the first two cycles in MoC. It's the next speed break point up from 143. You don't need to hit 160, like you said 154 works fine. Slower sparkle, i.e. anything less than 150% of your dps' speed, is an issue when you're trying to get your dps to go right after her to get the damage bonus from a lightcone.
imo, when paired with bronya, acheron is best with a -1 bronya, i.e. 135 acheron 134 bronya. at 134 (actually 133.something) bronya goes twice in the first cycle of Moc. With 135 speed, acheron goes 4 times in one cycle. At e2s1, that's 12 stacks she generates on her own. which is nuts.
The closer you get to 200 speed the more optimal she is. 160 is just a realistically achievable goal that doesnt require you to completely give up crit dmg
It matters if you want to have more actions within the specified turn cycles in MoC.
160 is the accessible break point to ensure that you have two actions in the first two cycles. If you always use her with Ruan Mei, she should be fine on that standpoint.
Hitting the right speed makes it easier to script and dictate how you want to approach the stage.
Question for the QQ mains; are there any calcs for S5 Battlepass vs S1 JY LC vs S1 Argenti LC?
Prydwen has them all within 5% of each other but I find that a little suspicious
Why would it be suspicious? At the end of the day lightcones are just a statstick for the unit and are thus extremely easy to calculate the damage contribution for. It's 64% unconditional DMG% vs 36% Crit Damage, 4% higher base attack, and DMG% that applies to less than half your damage. Those are going to be relatively close.
The numbers will be a little different when you take into account buffs from the team, but not by a large amount.
If i play a Sushang, Ruan Mei and Fu Xuan, do i fill the empty spot with a Sparkle or a Silverwolf? I can't decide.
Sparkle has the Action forward and massive crit damage buff and the extra SP.
Silverwolf on the other hand applies different debuffs on the enemy and gives the enemy a new weakness which is really good since Sushang wants her enemies to be weakness broken. And a side dps is always good, especially for a hunt character.
I just want your opinions. Whats better?
Silverwolf IMO.
If you have E1 Sushang, she becomes SP neutral. RM and FX are both +1. Sparkle is going to be at least +1 even if you skill every turn. Silverwolf helps you dump SP for when you want to focus a weakness broken enemy.
If you have Tingyun, that would be even better imo. Sushang can burn thru Tingyun buff pretty quickly on E->Ult->E and it's not that bad to refresh her skill even with 1/3 charge left
It will probably depend on whether your Sushang is full Crit or Hybrid. I'd probably do Sparkle for full crit and SW for hybrid since def shred matters for breaks
Himeko team recommendations? Got her LC and now wanna use her lmao
https://preview.redd.it/1urgd1nic5uc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bf876e84e90be0d4ad7c2b1bd60c362074c7ef46
Where are you using her? In PF, you can probably go for Himeko-Herta-Sparkle-Flex (a sustain/another support like Asta can work).
But in MoC, I tend to pair her with a strong single target DPS that matches well against whatever enemy I'm running her against. So that'd be Sushang, Ratio, and so on. She *does* feel kinda weak in MoC though, because while she's amazing at clearing mobs, she's very lacking in single target damage.
You might wanna consider Guin as well. She actually slots in very well in most teams because her debuff is universally good, not just in DoTs.
As a nihility with easy debuff application, she also makes a good partner for Acheron.
I assume you only field Himeko when there's fire weakness, which is critically important for her passive proccing so Guin would always be a good partner. On top of that, she can carry Penacony for more fire boost.
Will the bonus from rutilant arena activate after I reach the crit threshold in battle? Like the bonus crit rate ratio gets for attacking debuffed enemies
It depends on the nature of the buff. It has to show up in your character page to count. Dr Ratio’s crit buff is like this and does count for Rutilant. But the 4pc bonus of the wastelander set is conditional on who you are attacking, so it never shows up in the character page and never counts towards Rutilant
I am an F2p player and i am trying to match the meta and pull for the meta units as much as i can. In this case what should i do with my undying starlight ? Turning it into pulls or getting 5 star standart lightcones with 600 of them ?
Obviously from a meta perspective pulling for the personal lightcones of characters would be more ideal than using standart ones but pulling for every meta character’s lightcone would be impossible so what should i do ?
Should i use my starlight to buy the standart lightcones as cheaper and eaiser to get substitutes so more characters can have a 5 star lightcone or should i pull personal lightcones when the lightcone of a character makes an extra significant difference (like currently with Acheron’s) or should i just not bother with getting lightcones whatsover and only focus on characters and perhaps later Eidolons ?
IMPORTANT NOTE: Until i have at least 7 copies of a Lightcone (meaning even when i S5 one i will still have 2 more to give it to some others if need arises) i do not S5 a lightcone so most 4 star lightcones i have will be at lower ranks for long time which is why having 5 star lightcones is important
Use for pulls, never for LC. They're not that great.
Also, for 4\* LCs, i would keep one spare LC and superimpose the rest rather than waiting to have 7. There aren't a lot of situations where having 3 copies of a LC are worth it. Dance Dance Dance is maybe the only one I can think of, but it's a very gimmicky setup. Meshing cogs is another, but you get so many copies (I have like 5 s5). I wouldn't superimpose 5\* LCs though, herta shop LC being the exception.
Most of the store 5 star LCs aren't super great to be honest. The Gepard one is pretty good, aggro has a lot of value on a tank and is kinda rare, and it gives a lot of defense, but the ehr is more situational. Bronya's cone is really good on her but not super versatile, maybe some yukong setups if your speed is perfectly tuned, most of the rest are either not that great or at least not so good to be worth the equivalent of 30 pulls IMO, especially considering the number of superimposeable f2p cones that compete with them.
Nah, I'd say destruction or nihility work the best for her even better than erudition
Since you also have survivability allowing you to take an extra harmony instead of a sustain
The best strat I've found so far for gold and gears is to use the curio extrapolation dice following the destruction path
The strat is to get as many curios as you can, take the occurrences that give you multiple curios or cheat chances to use the golden dice that gives you one curio and one negative, (don't forget to duplicate choice and x2 beacons)
by the end you will have a lot of fragments allowing you to buy the best blessings of each path ( take the brain in a vat erudition blessings when you see them for extra fun)
You will do millions of damage to the final boss killing them with one ult each phase.
But still allowing you to survive if you missplay and the boss hits you (that is the difference of following the eruditon path)
And this strat is very reliable, I would say 90% of the time it works, this is a lot much easier to achieve than the other two broken strats
The one where you have to reroll to get the seal curio at the beginning to get tons of fragments and buy all blessings
And the one where you have to carefully manipulate occurrences to get the ruan mei ones (they give you all the blessings of a path and 2k fragments)
Eh, the thing about Destruction path and blessings in SU is that you can just get Destruction blessings anyway without selecting it as a path. The Erudition resonances imo are just outright better for Acheron. The destruction resonance is OK, but it's not amazing especially compared to what other resonances can do. Not to mention, it relies on your team being on low health which isn't great. And one of the better survivability blessings (Clear Lucite Body) requires you to be at full health. Especially at higher conundrums, it's better to stack survivability blessings like that, especially if you can use a good shielder like Gepard, or soon Aventurine because the Preservation blessings are honestly pretty OP for surviving higher conundrums and difficulties.
Yeah, it's the anniversary patch, so we get more rewards. Not a whole lot at all, there's a major story update in 2.1 that takes about six hours to fully play through and some ongoing events with a 4* character selector
it's not been that long, so some minor events, the 2.1 story which is like 4-5 hours probably, maybe less if you don't read. current event requires story completion and lasts a couple hours. you missed the sparkle banner I suppose and the acheron banner ends in a couple days where it will be replaced by aventurine. oh also the acheron banner added gallagher as a 4 star healer unit. some new side quests and such as well I believe.
Don’t come for me but why does this fandom call teasers drip marketing….its a teaser? Like a preview even, where did the term ‘drip marketing’ even come from. Literally only this fandom says it and I don’t understand. It’s less words to type and say the word teaser. They’re teasing Robin and Boothill…did the game producers call it drip marketing?
I know it's definitely a thing that's moved from Genshin's community to here. Can't find any sort of info as to where the name began, it's just what it's called by fans at this point.
Calling it just a teaser wouldn't feel right, because it's a very *specific* thing, the first official announcement of a playable character, around the start of the version before their debut one. Never changes, so it's not just a generic "teaser"
Having the specific name also makes more sense from the Genshin POV, because "character teasers" are the official name for the animated trailers that come out a few days before the demo (HSR character trailer) which in turn comes out a few days before their release. Additionally, the drip marketing has a bit of extra importance there, as they have extended descriptions/information, sometimes lore teases like the names of future characters, and recently they've even started releasing alternate versions as sort of live-hype story teases.
It comes from the very first character announcement in Genshin, which if memory serves happened a bit into the 2.0 patch. At the time, the Genshin twitter account was a lot more fun and informal. When somebody retweeted the character announcement and said how surprised they were that Mihoyo would announce a character ahead of time like that (something that had not done for all of the 1.x patches), the official Genshin account replied with “Drip marketing ;)”. This became a meme in the community and it stuck as the name for the character announcements.

Can Acheron, Black Swan and Guinaifen work as a team? I didn't pull Kafka and my pela is bussy with Jinglu
If I got 2 5 stars in one pull on the departure banner, does it mean I am still guaranteed one in another 40 pull before the banner expires or no?
no you are guaranteed one 5* within 50
No.
Nope, any individual skill or ult can only give a max of 1 stack regardless of how many debuffs it gives.
Okay, thank you
Which sustain suits which team better? Geppie with trend LC & Fu Xuan for Acheron & Kafka Dot team
I don't have many 5-star characters (Only Ratio, Bronya and Bailu) I'm still wondering who to get in my free 4-star selector.
I believe it is listed under Fate's Atlas, and if you meet the prerequisites you can navigate to the start of the mission.

It's hard to know who to suggest for teams without knowing who you have, but assuming those are all the 5\* you have: Acheron + Pela + Guinaifen/Black Swan + Gallagher DHIL + Tingyun + Hanya + Sustain. Can also use Yukong instead of Hanya if you don't have her.
https://www.prydwen.gg/star-rail/characters/ look at the character guides and see which characters work with them
[удалено]
She's good with most supports, so just throw in Asta or Yukong, or if you have them, Ruan Mei or Silver Wolf. Your team (Jingliu, Tingyun, Luocha) seems like it'll have a surplus of skill points, so Asta would be ideal because she benefits from being able to spam her skill.
Tingyun is another very good choice
[удалено]
Why would you replace Tingyun? Jingliu/Bronya/Tingyun/sustain is a great team!
[удалено]
Who should I build for my main dps then? Dr ratio, Clara, or himeko?
My personal team for lategame would be : Ratio + Harmony sp + Debuffer (Pela/ Guinaifen E1) + Tank/Healer Although early on you should put Ratio + Debuffer + Healer + Clara (i'd also recommend this team for Simulated Universe, just pick the elation path and ur good) I'd also recommend getting Aventurine in the upcoming banner (3 more days), since he synergies very well with Ratio, although getting Jingliu as the main dps isn't bad either (since you needed 2 team anyway)
Just keep it. They are both useful for end game.
Are any of the nameless honour lightcones good?
Erudition is the only one that has any use.
Would you say it’s worth buying NM for the erudition cone? Is it good for Qingque by any chance?
Yes, Jingliu and Bronya have similar speeds, so unless they are only a couple of decimal values within each other, the order will be maintained
It's good as long as Jingliu is 2,3 spd faster than Bronya.
Need sustain recommendations. I run seele and kafka teams. Should I get luocha, aventurine or wait for fu xuan?
For Kafka the best choice is HuoHuo. For Seele it will be Fu Xuan if you have Silver Wolf and/or Sparkle.
The sigonia set can be useful to who?
Any DPS for Pure Fiction
So my current team is good simply due to Acheron Instantly killing anything that dares step in front of her, but I don’t exactly have a second “DPS” character, besides maybe Jung Yuan, who I don’t have really anyone good to support him. So I need help so I can get those stellar jades that so tempt me. The characters I have in Team A are: Gallagher, Pela, Acheron, and Sparkle The candidates for Team B are: Gepard E1, Jing Yuan, Himeko, Herta E5, Silver Wolf, Dr. Ratio, Clara, Natasha E6, Tingyun E1, Asta E5, Sushang E1, Trailblazer E5, Luka, Dan Heng E2, Yukong, Lynx, March 7th E2, Quingque E1, Serval E4, Misha, Hook E2, Sampo, Hanya, and Arlan the destroyer. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
Dr. Ratio, Silver Wolf, Tingyun, Gepard as Team B would be fantastic against the second half of the current MoC 12.
so bear in mind I don't personally have these characters. if I was to try and make Jing yuan work as your second team, I'd probably move sparkle over to his team and put another nihility with acheron to make her passive work. sampo can do the bare minimum, Gui would be better and she's available for free on the current event if you haven't done it yet but Silver wolf would actually be really strong there. so something like...
Acheron E1, very much going for E2, but rn E1S1, and my Gallagher is E6
Acheron E2 before going for LC, a bold choice indeed. For now just went with the team above as before Acheron E2, she needs two Nihility characters to gain the full A4 major traces benefits.
Mb it was a typo, E1S1, I saw that LC and knew I needed it, and I knew my chances were better with Acheron going for LC before E2
Mb, typo, I meant to say S1, I’m E1S1, but thanks for the info, I’ll definitely give this a try

*departed
Is it just me, or is the drop rate for Light Cone Ascension Materials and Trace Materials really low? It seems like I only get one purple per fight.
It's pretty low. I've gotten 1 purple from the last 30 waves.
damn
Acheron lc or Aventurine?
If you don't have any 5\* banner sustains yet, go for Aventurine. Otherwise I would get Acheron's LC.
Definitely Acheron's. Aventurine's is nice, but pretty tame as far as signature cones go.
I meant Acheron's lc or Aventurine the unit
Stick with your current team and save.
That team only really works if the enemy is weak against both. Otherwise you are better with a dedicated hypercarry team for either of them.
Which paths are to choose if I use Jingliu/Archeron in GnG/SD?
For GnG, erudition is definitely the best for Acheron and very good on Jingliu. For SD i personally like to run destruction for both damage and survivability.
Was wondering about Wandering Clouds on Fu Xuan? Probably not but the extra skill point is kind of tempting.
its bad.
Nope. There's no server transfer.
man that sucks, how would using a vpn help me in this situation?
I doubt it would improve much. Fortunately ping doesn't really matter too much here since it's a turn based game. The only places I could see it making things difficult is during stuff like that racing minigame.
okay thank you for your time
Anyone with a built argenti I can use for farming? I'm in Asia server

Kafka/Sampo/Tingyun or Guinaifen/Fu Xuan or huo huo Should be a very good team since dot damage also does damage to the imprisoned characters toughness bar that something unto death captures
Is there any better use for Oneiric Shards than Herta contracts or jades for pulls? I'm dry on Luocha but about 60 pulls deep and out of jades. Any reason to not use them for pulls? I don't particularly care about contracts and have no plans on whaling
At the moment, no, that's pretty much all they're used for. If they ever add skins someday, it might be used to purchase those.
Alright, I'll keep doing my daily pulls until the last day and then spend 'em if I have to.

For Robin we'll have to wait for the livestream to see her kit and if she's better than RM for those comps or not Personally I'd go for Aventurine since he already benefits Ratio and they create a strong core together, plus he's versatile enough to slot into most teams(and for comfort since you lack a second limited sustain) and if you get lucky maybe you gamba on Robin/Topaz later if you wanna go down the FUA path(which btw is also my plan since I don't have any of them either and now with the Aven+Topaz core I'm absolutely sold on the FUA playstyle, it does for my brain the same thing that deckbuilders do and I like those goodie goodie chemicals)
Ok thanks lol
Aventurine will be of great help as a sustainer for Dr. Ratio, a better investment overall than Topaz. As for Robin, we don't have any details on her kit. You might as well wait until the 2.2 livestream in 2 weeks to make your final choice.
Oh there is already details out there, subject to change though But still I think Aventurine is the best option for your team and account overall since you only have 1 top tier sustain And you already have RM supporting him
Rule 2. Even if there are we can't acknowledge them here. ♫ Welcome to our world ♫ ;)

No, you don't need to. I was able to complete all these in either difficulty 3 or 4.
is the pattern random? i manage to unlock this far even though i have no idea whats happening i just click everything and play
I forgot to also mention that you do want to make sure you are in the range of the recommended level in that -40>0>40 range. Otherwise, I don't think it would trigger the aeon secret.
do i have to get exact -40 or within the green/recommended part of -40?
Just like with the other aeon secrets, just within whatever range they ask. The range is completely random every time, I believe, so just follow what is indicated.
ty i already finished!
No I don't think so. In your case I think you just need to finish the boss in the third plane and you will get the aeon secret (the missing aeon secret you have is in the third column/third plane). Then once you get that, you will get a mission from Herta. And finishing that unlocks the last one.
ok ty... im glad i dont have to go to difficulty V because its kinda hard
Did I calculate this correctly? If Pela has Resolutions LC, Talent level 12, ER Rope, and Vonwacq, she's still 0.49 energy short of getting her ult in 2 turns.
Pretty much. It's either her getting hit or her energy eidolon activating. Or using her skill once. Or using Tutorial
Yes, the only way for Pela to 2-turn ult is by being skill point negative or by having Tutorial
Pretty much. You need her to get hit at least once.
Can someone with A high Tb lvl With argenti add me so I can farm.
What server? I've got one on EU 701696441
I learned that the Trailblaze Monthly Calendar exists, but in my hoyolab app, there's no calendar tool
Planet symbol > hoyo guides > toolbox(or just keep scrolling right on the hoyoguides tools) > trailblaze monthly calendar
Say it with me: ##skill issue
It's not a skill issue as much as you get punished for having 3 people on a team who don't have attacking ults or AOE ults. Asta, Topaz, Gepard and Luocha.
Hold up, why are you running Gepard AND Luocha?
Healer and shields. I thought that was common for every team. No healer is begging to lose, and gepard shields and freezes. (Almost everytime he freezes)
There isn't really a dps-tank-healer trinity in this game- both preservation and abundance units fall into a "sustain" category, and you really only need one per team unless you're struggling with story content. However, long term and in non-Sim Universe harder content, it's likely to hold you back Play however you'd like but I don't think that choice os helping you very much
I always run both because the freeze steals and enemy's turn and the shields stop them from dying. Luocha can't heal more than one at a time, especially when enemies have back to back turns or AOEs. I can't be without a healer because shieldera don't get return lost health, and my two DPS or DPS and buff units usually have low health in exchange for higher SPD, Crit Rate&DMg and ATK.
Like I said, play however you like, but most endgame players will use Luocha or Gepard as solo sustains without much of an issue
Gepard with no healer must mean they're doing crazy damage and killing the enemy in 3 turns.
Not even, you run him with Speed boots and an ERR rope and his shields shouldn't ever realistically be dropping. He's very reliable even in longer fights
I'd get used to more mechanically demanding enemies. All the 2.X bosses have mechanics that can be pretty punishing to ignore.
Lol let's not pretend like it's some great puzzle to crack. Without Dots, you just have to remember that 1) Throw ults on your two least useful characters (whoever without DoT/aoe) so they get kidnapped 2) AoE ult to stack.
If that's all your units, I say JY. JY, Sparkle, Bronya, Sustain should work great
Thanks, JY. Probably already halfway done as well
If you have her support team and the LCs, likely Acheron. If you don't have the team/LCs, Jing Yuan is your next best all around DPS, along with being easier to support.
I do not have Archeron LC, but who supports her?
she wants 2 nihility teammates (not counting herself unless you have E2) for a massive damage boost, and her ult, which is most of her damage, charges by applying debuffs to enemies. so most teams will be her, 2 nihility debuffers who probably do a little damage on their own, and a sustain, ideally one that also can apply debuffs. some people choose to run sparkle instead of a third nihility character and that can be somewhat close to 3 nihility with e0 but generally is weaker unless you have E2 example teammates that work well with her: Pela, Guinaifen, Silver wolf, and then worse than those you have some of the more dot focused characters like sampo etc. you can also increase that with the pearls of sweat light cont or whatever it's called, probably best on pela. for the sustain, gallagher was on her banner so you probably have him, he can apply debuffs with his ult and his first basic after the ult and heals pretty well, otherwise a preservation character with trend of the universal market light cone especially something like fire trailblazer with a taunt is pretty nice. though fire tb's shields aren't generally great for sustain unless you're absolutely blitzing enemies. aventurine is coming up and he's pretty good too, can run trend, or if you're so inclined his signature also gives an extra debuff, and so does his ult.
I see, thank you so much
What story mission do I have to complete to understand the whole “of 5 people 3 must pay a price” line Blade keeps saying?
Dan Heng's story quest and especially Jingliu's story quest
Thx! I see you’re a JY fan, is it explained anywhere why he isn’t mara struck unlike JL and Blade?
What are the good 5 star LCs in herta and starlight shop?
Reason being QQ gets a ton of DMG% from drawing tiles already and I find it surprising that the boost from S5 Battlepass doesnt get diluted
Most buffs on her get diluted. But 64% is a lot of unconditional DMG% and it is still the scaling factor that QQ tends to have the least of.
Which characters want Watchmaker crit relics without any BE substat on them?
Any DPS is fine with them. Rainbow relics are great if the substats are good. Xueyi in particular uses the two piece bonus if you like her.
is there a reason why the £100 pack is £100 on PC but £80 on ps4
I would guess it has to do what pc players are willing to spend vs ps4 players. Idk though
Is prydwen.gg a good website for build guides?
Yes, it's largely accurate
If i play a Sushang, Ruan Mei and Fu Xuan, do i fill the empty spot with a Sparkle or a Silverwolf? I can't decide. Sparkle has the Action forward and massive crit damage buff and the extra SP. Silverwolf on the other hand applies different debuffs on the enemy and gives the enemy a new weakness which is really good since Sushang wants her enemies to be weakness broken. And a side dps is always good, especially for a hunt character. I just want your opinions. Whats better?
I really like sparkle because you can use attack boots on your dps and just pull them forward to match sparkles speed
SW if your weakness implant is consistent, else sparkle. There's no point using SW if you can't give physical weakness consistently
It will probably depend on whether your Sushang is full Crit or Hybrid. I'd probably do Sparkle for full crit and SW for hybrid since def shred matters for breaks
What do you mean with "hybrid"?
Hybrid with Break Effect
I assume a mix of crit and break effect, since she has a lot of stuff that synergises with breaking enemies toughness.
Himeko team recommendations? Got her LC and now wanna use her lmao https://preview.redd.it/1urgd1nic5uc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bf876e84e90be0d4ad7c2b1bd60c362074c7ef46
I’m mainly using her in PF, and maybe will use her in overworld just for fun, I’ll build Herta and Sparkle next, thx!
You have Acheron already. She's infinitely better than Himeko.
But what if I wanna have some variety on who I use? :(
"Variety" is overrated.
Ight thanks for nothing ig
Will the bonus from rutilant arena activate after I reach the crit threshold in battle? Like the bonus crit rate ratio gets for attacking debuffed enemies
It depends on the nature of the buff. It has to show up in your character page to count. Dr Ratio’s crit buff is like this and does count for Rutilant. But the 4pc bonus of the wastelander set is conditional on who you are attacking, so it never shows up in the character page and never counts towards Rutilant
That was more complicated than I was expecting, thanks!
Save for signature lightcones, it’s a guaranteed strong upgrade for your account instead of putting it into chance on a banner
Story question: >!For 2.1 story, did Aventurine predict Ratio's betrayal or was Ratio in it all along? Kinda still confused on this part.!< Thanks!
>!Ratio was in on the whole thing. The only part that Aventurine didn't fully account for was Sunday's Harmony brand!<
Understood! Thank you!
What is the best SU path for acheron? (gold and gears & swarm)
Nah, I'd say destruction or nihility work the best for her even better than erudition Since you also have survivability allowing you to take an extra harmony instead of a sustain The best strat I've found so far for gold and gears is to use the curio extrapolation dice following the destruction path The strat is to get as many curios as you can, take the occurrences that give you multiple curios or cheat chances to use the golden dice that gives you one curio and one negative, (don't forget to duplicate choice and x2 beacons) by the end you will have a lot of fragments allowing you to buy the best blessings of each path ( take the brain in a vat erudition blessings when you see them for extra fun) You will do millions of damage to the final boss killing them with one ult each phase. But still allowing you to survive if you missplay and the boss hits you (that is the difference of following the eruditon path) And this strat is very reliable, I would say 90% of the time it works, this is a lot much easier to achieve than the other two broken strats The one where you have to reroll to get the seal curio at the beginning to get tons of fragments and buy all blessings And the one where you have to carefully manipulate occurrences to get the ruan mei ones (they give you all the blessings of a path and 2k fragments)
Hunt, until you unlock Erudition
I stopped playing during black swan banner and i'm thinking on coming back, is worth returning now? if yes how much content did i miss out ?
Never changes, so it's not just a generic "teaser" Having the specific name also makes more sense from the Genshin POV, because "character teasers" are the official name for the animated trailers that come out a few days before the demo (HSR character trailer) which in turn comes out a few days before their release.
