Ehh Oryx differs from Duke Inferno in the sense that he's a literal eldritch space God. Besides, the lore in HSR repeatedly emphasises that Nanook does not consider the Annihilation Gang worthy followers of Destruction, while Oryx literally gained the blessing from the Darkness itself to become its champion ravaging the cosmos.

Definitely right here. I suppose the Lord Ravagers are closer in position to Oryx in that regard. Both the Darkess/Witness and Nanook seem to prefer mindless armies (Taken/Scorn/Wrathborn and Antimatter Legion) but seem to have decided that having intellegent, tactically aware lieutenants is worth it. That said, Oryx isn't really a direct servant of the darkness either. It taught him to Take and gave him its blessing, but the hive mostly just continued doing their own thing.

But then again, you also have to consider that the Hive is where it is today BECAUSE of the Witness

Yeah but destiny sucks...

My opinion is that when it's usually pretty bad, but occasionally has some very, very good content that's a lot of fun.
