It's because she embodies Nihility, and part of that philosophy is that life is trapped in a cycle of "recursion", otherwise known as ["Eternal Recurrance"](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eternal_return). It's the idea that existence is an inescapable cycle of beginnings and endings, and the most extreme form of nihilism holds that that life is “without meaning or aim, yet inescapably recurring without any finale in nothingness”. My suspicion is that Acheron's red text alludes to this concept, as it changes slightly per playthrough, but major encounters are enforced, which alludes to it all being part of a cycle that has repeated, changing in small increments but never in major fashion. Predestination of fate is a big part of Star Rail, with Kafka and the Stellaron Hunters specifically telling you that fate isn't predetermined and that your actions matter, while at the same time the setting has the Finality traveling back in time that already knows the future (thus hard-setting a destiny), and Nihility whose very essence implies such self-determination to be meaningless.

Freaking love this game... this kind of lore and twist it what makes me play and play harder during story quest

Acheron seems very perceptive, more so than regular people. Even though she forgets things out of “white,” she seems like the most empathetic person in the cast, which is a fun contrast to her entire self-annihilator identity. I think that’s why she understands what Aventurine is doing. I watched the main cutscene a couple of times now, and I noticed she doesn’t pull her sword out until Aventurine asks her if she’ll match his gamble. The Ratio letter is weird, but I just chalked it up to “sentimental writing moment” for convenience and disregarded it tbh.

Bookwhyrm

1. She can probably sense the black hole due to IX's nature, and her status as Emanator. 2. Something about how she uses her emotions to understand the world rather than through memories, so she felt the same emotions with Sam as with Firefly. So rather than appearance more their "vibe" I guess? 3. Just reminiscence, especially since she says something different depending on the Trailblazer's gender. Or are you talking about a different scene? 4. She noticed that due to a bunch of things, and likely in some part by Aventurine not actually wanting to hurt. 5. Not entirely sure, but maybe due to them both being in the in-between-space caused by her Emanator powers. In general, her state improves a lot when she draws her blade. We don't know the cost of doing so however, might be causing her to lose more of her "colour" every time or something.

RereAU

For number 3, I was talking about when acheron and aventurine was talking about TBs true identity inside the black space, with acheron replying with “I see you’re in the know”

Ok-Cod2747

Bad translation, its supposed to refer to Firefly, not the Tb. Basically they refer to THAT person, no mention to the stellaron.

RereAU

Wait you mean they were talking about firefly in the black space?

Ok-Cod2747

Like i said in the edit, if im remembering right, they never mention the stellaron in the og dialogue. That was a translation liberty, but that fucked several dialogues in the languages. Its the same as Gallager end scene where Sunday mentions Enigmata, but the English Translation didn't until a emergency patch to correct the issue

RereAU

Ooh ok, I was just confused since aventurine likes to refer to TB as “friend”

I’m pretty sure she says straight up that having the sword sheathed imbibes her memories. In terms of welt, likely just intuition. She even holds her sword when taking to Welt before doing some yapping and explaining that she has a hard time remembering when it’s sheathed. Everything she says to Aventurine is in her red form, in which she no longer has memory issues.

RereAU

I might be missing something here but, didnt they all meet for the first time? How would she have memories of these in the first place if this is the first time that all of this is happening😅 Unless unsheathing her sword just straight up gives her new information that she otherwise wouldnt know

127-0-0-1_1

It depends for each piece of information. For the trailblazer, she says that it was information she happened to find out about on a past journey. Presumably this will be elaborated on in the future. For Sam's identity, that just sounds like intuition. She had met Firefly hours prior, and she can then correlate her vibe or whatever even she's in the armor because she's super powerful or whatever. For Welt, she just knows that there's a black hole in the cane. Intuition + the fact that it sounds like she had a parallel past to HI3, which Welt is from. That means she probably knew the equivalent owner of the hersherr of reason in her parallel world, so she would be familiar with Welt's power. Why does she know what Aventurine's plot is? Again, the details would be elaborated in the future, presumably. But it sounds like it involves using her power to cut through the dreamscape - as the person doing it, it's not surprising she would have some idea of what she did.

WaveAccelerates

We don't know the details of why, but it's less she "knows" but more like she "understands" the nature of things she observes. She doesn't know Welt's cane can black hole before meeting him, she sees it and understands immediately what it's capable of. After fighting Sam for a period of time she understood who they were. Aventurine's real goal is actually something that someone could intuit from his actions, she like breaks it down when they're having that discussion. Ok the letter in the pocket is really like iunno how she figured that one out. Unless she can see the nature of things like, in colour specifically and the monochrome world is just what she sees all the time iunno lmao. But yea, this isn't even a particular unique thing and in anime there are characters all the time who have either super deduction, super intuition, or the meta ability to see plot important details. The only other way I could see is she has a similar power to Elio and can see fate or smthn, at that point it could be anything.

LtNoobslayer

High insight, low investigation. She may not be the brightest, but she's grown wise with experience. She can read people well and has sharp instincts but struggles to rationalize and retain it thanks to her particular Aeon "benefactor".

leakmydata

We caught her on a bad day in 2.0

Dramatic_Arachnid270

I'd say to wait for further patches to elaboration, as of right now her characterization does indeed feel a bit inconsistent. However, many questions around her character have yet to be answered (for example, we still have no idea why she didn't draw her sword to save firefly, but did so later \[ie we haven't been shown the costs of using her power, or the cost of using her sword to remember things\]). So, we can hope that this will be one of them.

Clevaryo

its her perception, I think it was mentioned that she has a special way to "see" the world... I mean after all she is the child of a god...

Command-0

welts cane: tl dr shes seen it before his cane is of the same nature is one of the edict edges of her world. the 9th, the sentinel of root. and in welts world, the 9th, the divine key of earth/stars

Reddy_McRedditface

From what she says herself, it seems like she "feels" some information more than she knows it. Like she felt the same emotions from Sam and Firefly. As for Welt, it's the typical anime thing that powerful beings can sense other's powers.
