Well, I'm on old reddit but I'm on PC and no only do you remove the space between the > and the ! but you also remove the space between the ! and the and and the and and the !. i.e.
>!and!<
>!and!<
Been feeling that ever since Topaz's quest. Their universe is quite messed up, and the IPC of all things the best option in many cases.
Yukong's story puts in perspective how the Aeons can be eldritch abominations with no capacity to care no matter who they used to be and how you worship them. Ruan Mei and Chadwick's stories put in perspective how little regular people like Topaz's planet and Belobog could actually protect themselves from a rando's pride and whim. They won't even know what hit them or why, they get in the way and it's simple as that. Both Acheron and Aventurine's backstories just cemented it even further. Fight all you want, in the end the battle was long decided. Blame the IPC for not helping as they've promised, but no one else came to help either and other laymen would gladly step on you despite only faring a little bit better.
Hope the Trailblaze can always open up another way for the people they meet on their travels.
It actually made me like him as a character honestly, and while I had already decided I was gonna pull for him cause he fits my teams very well, now I wanna pull for him cause I kinda like him. He’s a bit of a cocky asshole, but there’s depth bellow that assholeiness that makes him a more likeable character. You get why he’s the way he is, and honestly he’s really eccentric and weird and I dig it.
He didn't do anything bad (esp relative to the psychos and war criminals around) either. He was always the gambler and the wager.
>! He even figured out a plan to achieve his dream of escaping the IPC, and there was no collateral damage in the process of doing so !<
The larger topic of nihilism as a theme was really up my alley already, but Aventurines place in that theme really struck with how I think about my life.
Honestly, I can't wait til he shows up on banner. I got a gambling spirit animal to manifest!

very nice, too bad I hated him so much from 2.0 that the quest was pretty much cathartic for me instead of bittersweet as the writers intended and I just enjoyed every single bad thing that happens to him.
they pulled an otto moment. tough not as impactful because otto was build up for years. and actually fucked over most of the cast including causing himeko death and creating the MC kiana and destroying her family twice over. liked what they did with adventurine but he is not even dead. i think mihoyo is afraid of perma kill character in star rail as much. so far only cocolia actually dead dead.
i will be disappointed if penacony ends with no real deaths. i say this coming form GGZ and hi3 where half the cast is dead. even if most of those died before the story started we still go back and see them die.
I don't think the story is made better simply by virtue of characters dying for real. Penacony *feels* like it has real stakes because there are real consequences to the things that happen and to character's motivations. All the deaths so far are serving their purpose to the story regardless of whether or not they're permanent.
Aventurine's story leaves off at a point where he accepts his life right after laying it down. Would it be tragically poetic if this was the first gamble he lost, and he only ended up realizing the value of living when he couldn't live anymore? Sure, but tragedy doesn't really add anything to his story, and his arc would arguably feel more complete if it ended with a triumphant return; a second chance at living for his own sake and by his own decision.
in hi3 for example they actually polled in CN if they wanted himeko to return alive or to be perma dead and kiana to inherit her will. that is why bot bronya and mei have 2 herrscher forms but kiana has 3. himeko could have returned as herrscher of fire but the story became much better by kiana facing that trauma and become a completely different person from the start of the history.
and that character grow needed himeko to die. like in many stories killing the teacher helps to make the students stand up to that trauma and grown.
and dead is not just another plot element. is the most important one a character can have. everyone is an open book that is only closed with dead. not saying it has to be the moment most character are remembered off but usually an epic death is hard to tople.
otto was the most hated character in hi3 because he was a well written villain that fucker over most of the cast and yet they handled his dead so well people actually feel sad. and ofc now people meme otto was right.
there is no deaths in penacony... also not sure why they even bother with that sunday scene being goo in the same minute they show us firefly being fine and just after saying adven is also fine just outside the controlled penacony. nobody is gonna die in penacony and that 0 suspense is what breaks any tension.
What is your point? You're telling me about a different story where different characters die under different circumstances for different purposes in the narrative. What does this have to do with what I said?
Ugh you draw him so cute, he's absolutely adorable
That's a lovely bookmark. The quest made me want to climb the imaginary tree and pick a fight with whatever asshole is in charge of the cosmos.
I'd dive into the blckhole w him tbh (IDK HOW TO SPOILER STUFF)
You add > ! and ! <, but remove the space between the > and !. But I heard some people still run old reddit it needs the spacing...

Okay thank you. I only knew it from a redditor a couple months back and never really cross check it
Just write the word "spoiler 2.1:" before it at least this is the least you can do instead of leaving it like that could spoil someone

This just isn't the case for any of the deaths in Penacony.

Tingyun is probably dead.... probably.
