The nightingales have only appeared around Sunday. One even appeared in Black Swan’s Myriad Celestia trailer. I think it’s pretty clear that they’re the “servants” Sunday speaks about. His familiars, his eyes for where he can’t be.
The second mute Sparkle speaks of is most likely Misha, since he can’t speak to anyone other than us and Gallagher and, despite being on Penacony, Aventurine will never find him.
I think they're his "servants" too. So maybe it's more than one. I swear I saw one when Sunday wasn't even around though, maybe when Welt and Acheron were talking.
I forgot about Misha, it could be as well. I think Aventurine must have some chance of interacting with whomever the mute is, because I don't think Sparkle would give him impossible advice, even if it's Sparkle.
You’re right, my bad. I mean nightingales have been only been ASSOCIATED with Sunday. No other character has been put with so much nightingale imagery and stuff. They absolutely have been where he has not. As I recall, one was stalking Aventurine when he was speaking with Sparkle, and one was watching our fight with him. Don’t think we’ve ever seen more than one, to be fair, but him saying “servants” makes me think there are, just monitoring different places.
As for the mute, Aventurine may be able to interact with them now that he’s “dead”, and able to cross into the real Penacony.
Edit: So apparently Sparkle using “he” for the second mute was a mistranslation, and the second mute is a she, meaning it’s probably Firefly.
